That's the thing that surprises me: you never hear about anyone wanting Luis. After a couple of years of performing at a world class level, you'd have thought there'd be rumours of teams being interested but you never hear anything of the sort. Well, I haven't myself, but I could be wrong!
Lazio under Simone Inzaghi is the most “Italian” team of Serie A, that’s why insiders really wonder if any of them can function out of the system, maybe?

Perhaps they're put off by him not doing much at Liverpool although he was very young then. Was same with Aspas who struggled aswell and then others decided he was better as a big fish in small pond at Celta Vigo.

Came through Barca academy so might end up there again if he does well in CL next season.
That's what I've thought myself, but, as you say, that would be harsh considering he was only a kid then. Unfortunately, sometimes an unfair stigma can stick regardless of change, so it could be!

I think that'd hold more weight if you didn't see other Lazio players being hyped up these past few years.

For example, Savic has got a lot of hype and has been linked with big money moves despite not being as good as L.Alberto. F.Anderson became West Hams most expensive player and, prior to that, was constantly being linked with the likes of us (United). De Vrij got a big move to Inter (albeit on a free) and has shown his quality; outperforming Skriniar and Godin, imo.

I get Immobile being somewhat overlooked despite his great spell at Lazio because he's struggled at a big club competing at the top in Dortmund, but the way L.Alberto seems to be swept under the carpet really surprises me.

Juve better be careful, at this rate Lyon might actually knock them out.

Seeing all these coaches I watched as footballers while growing up males me feel very old.
Gattuso and Inzaghi having a feud and the former all very grey.

Ashley Young and Zlatan have this retirement league on strings :D

Atalanta have looked especially vulnerable these past few weeks. I like them just as much as everyone else but PSG might just spank them in CL. Shame if the Ilicic rumors are true.

Juve got to be a bit careful, going into the CL not winning many games.

Lyon keeping a clean sheet v PSG after months off is a warning shot.

Going out to Lyon to avoid City/Madrid might be the best thing that can happen to this Juventus team

Italian champions despite having only the third best defense and the fifth best attack in the league. That has to be a record of some kind

Would Sarri really survive a last 16 exit? Would be their earliest CL exit for nearly a decade.

I think if they can get Pochettino then they'll change managers. Otherwise Sarri should stay and get a summer to attempt to fix things as the squad was simply not good enough this season.

Amazing that all the other challengers kept dropping points to allow Juventus the league title.

They are dire. I wonder if Ronaldo regrets moving there...

They have no chance to win the CL now or going forward.

If he cared about money that much, he would have gone elsewhere(or stayed at Real).
Real didn't want to offer him that kind of salary.
Juve were the only ones. I mean just look at how crazy it is compared to other highest paid serie a players.

Why would he? He's getting 32 million
Exactly. Adding that this latest scudetto win, against all the marketing vultures from everywhere, with a waning squad and an awkward coach, one meagre point above Conte & Marotta’s fake Juve-2 attempt, is the most satisfying of the lot, even better than the very first from our former beloved captain and coach Conte in 2012.

Oh wow Conte

50/50 he quits vs he gets sacked now i think

3rd club in a row. 4th in his career as a manager. Wonder if anyone's gonna touch him after this

Just gave an interview essentially throwing inter's management under the bus

Conte: It's inevitable that I will do my evaluations and the club will do theirs. I'm the only one who knows what I had to do to make Lukaku join Inter, it was not a walk in the park, trust me.

The second place wasn't enough for him and, loyal to his ideas, Antonio Conte didn't celebrate the end of the Serie A season finished one point behind Juventus. He thinks he'll close the season well in the Europa League and then, he announces, "it's inevitable that I'll make my own assessments and the club yours. We need to find each other".
Will they be technical assessments? "No, about everything," the Nerazzurro pointed out.
Then the future is in question. More than a doubt can be read between the lines when he answers a question about Messi's suggestion: "I only know what I had to do to get Lukaku to Inter, it wasn't a walk in the park, trust me".
And a certain distance with the company can also be measured by a consideration at the press conference. "I'm sorry because I saw Inter attacked in a bad way, free attacks against the players and mine, I didn't like it also because I saw little protection from the club," explained Conte.
"Having said that, we've compacted even more and today these 82 points, which are many, we enjoy them as we work in Appiano. It's a good result for me, the players, the warehousemen, the masseurs, Oriali, the people who are always close to the team, I want to emphasize that".
"We came second even though I said what I said, and everything I say is subject to criticism...", explained the Nerazzurro coach in Bergamo. "We've done our duty in the league, we've improved a lot, in the Italian Cup we reached the semi-finals, now we're trying to make a good impression in the Europa League. At the end of the season we'll make the assessments. It's been a difficult year, very hard for me. It comforts me to have this group of professionals who give everything.
Conte pointed out that "Juve is celebrating the 9th scudetto consecutively. They have shown in these years to be much stronger, they have worked to improve".
"It will be very difficult," continued Conte, "Juve has a much better structure on and off the field at the moment. Now the others are trying to work.
Is it possible to open an era at Inter? "It's been a very hard year, very difficult for me, from many personal points of view. "Now we have to finish the year in the best possible way. Then it's right that we all do evaluations for next year."

Think Conte needs to learn to dial it down a little. He's uber passionate which is great in the short term but no wonder he lost his hair at such a young age!

I don't think he will ever be able to continue anywhere for a long period unless he can accept not everything can be perfect.

Another gig next year for the 10th in a row, then Pirlo to start again... this seems the plan.

Messi to Inter is one of the most embarassing things that came out of Italian press in past few years, and it's the third year running they are trying to push it and make believable.

whose going to replace Sarri?
All the good managers are taken and unlikely/ next to impossible for them to leave this season.
So it's either him or someone cheaper just to get by and then aim for someone better.
I can see Juventus giving him another year (so they don't have to do like they did for Allegri paying him for chilling at home) that unless some big shot become avaible.

But yeah he is short lived. At best he's gonna be there one more year already knowing he is going to get kicked out.
I would fire him asap if there was a decent manager avaible

well since new fiscal law he would cost less than Ronaldo even on 50m net wages if it's true he has a 1euro release clause.
So if Inter is willing to pay 56-58m gross wages it would be possible.
I doubt any other team on earth could give Messi 50m net in wages

@Yagami about to phone the gambling commission if he's watching the Verona match. :D
Runs deeper than that

Hellas team is basically made up of former genoa players, including the manager

Miguel Veloso is the son-in-law of Genoa's owner

Ha, I'm not actually watching them tonight, but I've just checked the score after your comment and wow! Even my guy Amrabat is seemingly having a stinker.

I knew about Juric and Veloso having history there (though I didn't know about the son-in-law bit) but I thought that was it, tbh!

Even if Inter had the money, he would never come to Inter after Barcelona.
