Great thing is with this signing, we'll have our attack sorted for years to come. Martial, Rashford, Greenwood, Sancho, Bruno and maybe Pogba if he stays. Oldest one here is 27.

The core of the team we're building on is really great and I hope it pays off with a big title within the next 2-3 years.

 This! I'm sure many on this forum have in fact discussed the price of Sancho MORE than Ed Woodward has. Let that sink in.
I don't think it's that ridiculous to discuss the price tag of players. If we went ahead and paid out £150million for Sancho, that could instantly mean that we've gone over-budget and then can't look at other areas of the squad, such as the defence.

The other side of the coin (not sure if it applies in this situation, but it may for some clubs) is that some clubs need to sell other players in order to raise these funds. Let's not also forget that it's been a difficult financial climate with the loss of ticketsales and gate receipts. It's a gamble to some extent spending tons of money right now, for any business.

Or maybe we should keep shite players away from number 7
I don't know, I won't label most of those who wore it as shite. Some of them even left and re-discovered their form elsewhere. It's cursed at this point I'm sure of it. :nervous:

What an exciting prospect this is.

Rashford, Martial, Sancho and Greenwood. All young, all absurdly talented with a good mix of attributes and 3 of them English.

The most exciting days since Rooney/Ronaldo.

If he signs this week, can he play in Europa? What are the rules?

I would love to be a fly on the wall when Eds is negotiating, I can imagine he is very Alan Partridge like! If he pulls this transfer off then he is a genius

Completely agree. That's a more than fantastic base to build on. At the very least, we have goalscorers in the side and exciting, young, attacking players.

I do wonder whether the next spot we need to be looking at is some kind of defensive mid/deep lying midfielder to compliment Pogba and Bruno, to add some sort of balance to that midfield. Matic will get game-time but it's an area that will need looking at. Maybe one for the next window.

Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus
I definitely know less about him than most but he just seems ruthlessly efficient as a player.

Not necessarily full of flair or electrifying or spectacular, but just consistently makes the correct decisions. Has a clear idea of what to do in attacking scenarios.

Can't wait to see him in our front 3.
He absolutely is. Not Ronaldinho levels but as exciting a player as there is out there at the moment. He's exactly what is needed to light up Old Trafford and bring that major buzz back. He'll be huge for us.

He can't play in Europa and anyway the deadline is midnight tonight to register players for the knockout phases.

His numbers are even more impressive if you consider that all of his goals came from open play and only two of his assists were from corners.
I like the fact that he can also deliver a decent ball from a corner as well

Bloody hell, RAWK are already having meltdowns at the prospect of us signing Sancho!

They’ve resorted to comforting themselves with “hopefully he turns out to be a flop like Pogba”

If I was a Liverpool fan I’d be pretty happy with their current front 3 but also frustrated that a big rival is looking to sign one of the best wingers around at the age of 20 especially considering their front 3 are all approaching 30.

it is interesting that they aren’t looking to buy big. We all saw how Fergie always bought when in a winning position in order to freshen up the desire and hunger.

It's always a mark of his sources that he puts his neck on the line to such an extent and is bold enough to even state contract length. All the others will now parrot him despite not being the ones to get the scoop.

His wages could send ripples around the club as Pogba's re-negotiations are very probably underway and Fernandes will be up for payrise, too. Rashford, despite having not long gotten a new contract, must surely be curious, too.

£300k p/w would not be a surprise. Interested in seeing the breakdown, if we're privy to it.

Sancho is on 75k now, he's not going up to 300k.
I'm guessing 150-200k and maybe some bonus for goal/assist.

Bruno signed a contract half a year ago(150k), he's not getting a bump now. Not yet. Maybe next summer if he keeps the same performance level.

If Pogba signs a new deal I reckon he'll go up to 350-375k (from 290k), but requires certain bonus targets to be hit for full payout every week.

Marcus reneg earliest next summer, likely 2022, he's on 200k atm so he's OK for now.

Liverpool will be fine, I hear Mbappe is coming any minute now.
