Liverpool will be fine, I hear Mbappe is coming any minute now.
They can’t even afford Werner when he’s going for the same prices as a Bournemouth defender! They are bashing the piggy bank and Nana’s handbag to buy Thiago.
Absolutely no chance they will buy Mbappe unless they sell half their team and Klopps wife!

Completely agree. That's a more than fantastic base to build on. At the very least, we have goalscorers in the side and exciting, young, attacking players.

I do wonder whether the next spot we need to be looking at is some kind of defensive mid/deep lying midfielder to compliment Pogba and Bruno, to add some sort of balance to that midfield. Matic will get game-time but it's an area that will need looking at. Maybe one for the next window.
My gut feeling all along is that next season Scott will get a chance to show if he can develop into someone capable of playing Matic's role, however if that doesn't work out then will expect us next summer to either go for a proper DM (Rice, Soumare, Zakaria, Ndidi) or more of a DLP type player (Saul, Camavinga)

I only care what happens on the field, his price tag and price of other players mean absolutely nothing to me and it shouldn't to most fans. Honestly baffles me how fans talk and moan about prices.
Yes but that won't stop the usual culprits from "We paid fecking 100 million, i expect player to be flawless" posts.

That sounds fair to me and what will most likely happen. A midfield of Pogba - McTominay > Fernandes, with Matic and Fred rotating with McTominay to counter fatigue and injuries. Only concerning thing is that if Pogba or Fernandes were to pick up an injury, suddenly the midfield doesn't look too great. We look maybe one quality player short there, if we are going with Pogba, Fernandes, McTominay, Fred and Matic as our main midfielders next season. (unless I'm forgetting somebody really obvious)

I guess it also depends on how we will line up. 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 or some other variation.

Good to see it close although before it usually is confirmed and based on other transfer sagas, after news like this the denial always comes. Obvious money on Mr Stone.

The new Microsoft Flight Sim has live planes in real life and real time on the game. Fly next to Sancho's plane and get the photo mid-flight?
Not as funny as when there was still suspense over Bruno as it hadn't been confirmed and so many had their Flight Tracker app showing planes coming in from Lisbon to Manchester

Hmmm maybe a Brummie named Jack will be added to that list, although if that fails then expect a Dutchman called Donny coming in instead. I am not going to throw a Spaniard called Thiago in there because think a certain scouse team have sealed that deal.

I can see it looks that way in isolation but I'm responding to the posters moaning about us paying £90m in this 'COVID marketplace' (there are a few)
If he delivers as planned, I agree with you that it's a bargain, even in covid19 economy!
Moaners need to remember we had to pay £80m for a 26 year old defender last year.

Regardless, we are a buyers club right now: unlike Liverpool or City, we desperately need higher quality players than we currently have to improve our position, so sellers have the upper hand.

Where the grass is greener.
Just want to praise you for staying resilient throughout. The negative Nancy’s and the preciously bitter German fans would barge here day in day out but you kept composure when it seemed pretty obvious it was happening for those who had just a scoop of brain power. Your work wasn’t unnoticed, fella.
Appreciated mate, sometimes you've got to stay calm and positive in a sea of Negative Nancy Syndrome sufferers.

Sancho is on 75k now, he's not going up to 300k.
I'm guessing 150-200k and maybe some bonus for goal/assist.

Bruno signed a contract half a year ago(150k), he's not getting a bump now. Not yet. Maybe next summer if he keeps the same performance level.

If Pogba signs a new deal I reckon he'll go up to 350-375k (from 290k), but requires certain bonus targets to be hit for full payout every week.

Marcus reneg earliest next summer, likely 2022, he's on 200k atm so he's OK for now.
Sancho is being bought as a superstar on a superstar wage; I don't think what he's currently on is here nor there as he's now being acknowledged as one of the world's best outright with what we're willing to pay to get him here. Having said that, I wonder if it'll be an target/bonus based package or just an outright, flat wage. As far as I'm aware, we don't take a % of image rights? If that's the case, then it'll be interesting to see what the sponsors around him drum up in terms of deals.

You're probably right about Bruno, but if he's on fire through to December, him entering talks wouldn't really be a shock.

I think Pogba is going to ask for at least parity with De Gea, if not be the #1 earner at the club.

But, all said and done, we really need stragglers like Sanchez out the door. We're going to have a star-studded attack, but we're going to be paying heftily for the privilege!

Ronaldo was insane that season, think he scored around 25 overall and his ability to pick the ball up and dribble/sprint half the pitch is something I haven’t seen much of. If Sancho is at that level, I don’t think he’s there yet, then we’re in for a treat.
Ronaldo 06/07 is one of my personal favourites from a player ever.
Yes, thats what I was referring to! It was the first time Ronaldo was able to concistently deliver such skills and attributes.
Looking at Sancho video's and stats, he seems to be at that level, certainly at Bundesliga level.

I just don't get that when it's not their money and it's for a 20 year old superstar that has produced with the very best players in the world last season. United doesn't need a bunch of signings, and one like this moves them up considerably IMO.

People really need a reality check. There is no way we will spend heavily in this climate. Covid-19 has crippled our economy. Nobody’s going to spend big this window.

Oh, it’s on! It’s so on! JadON!

He was the first to report that Dortmund would accept payment in installments. He just doesn't participate in muppetry unless there's concrete info.
Daniel Harris was the first , this guy just went with his information.
