Can Sancho pretty much play across the whole front line or am I mistaken? If so the quality in depth we'll have will be groundbreaking.
Half of a highlights clip I saw, he was out on the left, so he can definitely play either side.
Not sure if he can do central.

But as we've basically existed without a top right winger since the last decade, he needs to at least start there.

Tbf, all this agreeing personal terms, Fabrizio has said all along that's not a problem.

I will never get from when did all those reports that link us to Willian come from. I have never seen a reliable one ever, really. The obsession with talking about Mourinho while we're about to land an exciting, great transfer is just weird.
It's interesting to take a second and think where we could have been every so often.

Jose would have sacked Martial off for Perisic. Just horrific.

Mourinho did an interview were he name dropped Willian a couple times and the media took that ball and ran with it. Willian in an interview said he loved Mourinho but also loved Chelsea or something to that affect. I certainly would have talen him back then!

Wonder what sort of dig Dortmund will have at us this time in their official Sancho departure announcement article.

The days we regularly couldn't agree wages with the top players seem like a distant dream now.
In that mid to late 90s even when we bossed it in England.

For all his faults, he deserves some credit here. People always quick to type "he's not a football guy/doesn't know football" regarding a guy that's been working at one of the biggest football institutions in the world for over a decade. Always seemed like lazy criticism to me.
Not a big fan of Ed but yeah some of the criticisms of Woodward are silly. The he's not a ''Football'' man being probably the silliest, usually from people who seem to think Gill was a Football man. Despite the facts being that Woodward worked in Football a lot longer than Gill did before getting the top job at United.

And yeah he got the 2018 window spot on if he'd backed Jose we would have had another 2-3 players like Sanchez in their 30's on megabucks. As Mourinho seemed determined to build one of the oldest sides in Europe.

Never mind that, we need to intercept their scouting database, and get these players before they blow up into top level stars next time.

Wow. Thats some statement. Ronaldo was just outstanding player and he performed in a very demanding and high quality league with a club that expects titles
I am sorry but Jadon is playing in a different league and the club always plays second fiddle. Second is very acceptable for them.
I remember Mkhitaryan, when he came to united had even crazier stats of assists and goals but he just couldn't get involved.
And before that Kagawa had player of the season performances, yet couldn't perform in a very attacking man united

So in my opinion, I would wait for him for a season to decide on this inference
I don't know about crazier.

Mkhitaryan's stats were 11 goals and 15 assists in 31 games as a 26/27 year old.

Sancho is on 17 goals and 16 assists
in 25 games at 20 years of age.

Sancho is at an age where he hasn't reached his peak and should continue to improve, whereas Mkhitaryan was the finished article and couldn't cope with the step up.

So that's German league journalists, Fabrizio Romano, Adrian Kajumba, Sky, Daniel Harris all reporting more or less same. Structure of payment is under discussion.

Not one for hype usually, but I think a bit of healthy competition in the front 3 will be a big boost for us.

I was going to ask if Kajumba has said anything.

This is a done deal now in my eyes, think he'll be a United player by Thursday
Kajumba has a link to the Sancho camp so his latest piece is very encouraging.

To be fair it's quite well documented that Mourinho was only open to selling Martial to Chelsea in 2018 provided Willian comes in the other way. Woodward put a halt to the idea and that's about it. Not sure Willian was a target aside from that though.

Omg theres always one

“It’s gone from a potential pensioner front 3 of Willian-Lukaku-Perisic under Mourinho to one of the most exciting young front 3s in world football Rashford-Martial-Sancho (and Greenwood). Incredible transformation. We departed with Mourinho at a perfect time. #mufc“
Only person from United twitter I'm blocked by is that thin skinned Hashem guy for liking a tweet in reply in jest to him so must be him

It really is jarring thought the contrast from the likely squad we would've had under Jose right now to building one of the most exciting and promising young front lines in Europe under Ole. Still gives me nightmares to think he would've easily sacrificed Martial for the likes of Sanchez, Perisic and Willian :houllier:

He just wasn't a PL player. He seems to be doing well in Italy again. The same could very well happen to Sancho, I hope people don't get their hopes up to crazy levels only to come crashing back down when he actually needs some time to adapt.

I hope Sancho doesn't drift out to the left!

I'd be raging if we had Rashford, Martial and Sancho crowding each other out while AWB is left alone on the right wing..again.

Without any doubt a lot stronger than going into last season with 2 forwards, who would both play every week, and a totally untried 17 year old as the only backup!

This time round we would have 4 superb choices, and Ighalo as back up!
