Read the tweet again. It says up to 65k. That could be anywhere from what you say he should be given to even lower padded up by bonuses.
Exactly. The base wage will probably be £30K-£40k With the rest made up on appearance, wins and clean sheet bonus’.

Solid but unspectacular signing for Spurs. They could do with another midfield recruit as him alone won't make much of a difference in my opinion.
I feel their next move is all but depends on Ndombele situation. He moves then they have fund, and the squad space for another. If he is to stay, they have to find a way to get him to work. He has the quality, while Tottenham doesn't seem have the fund.

Hojbejrg on paper is a must buy for them, can make a huge difference tactically. He solves the problem they have been having with Wanyama not being the same player after the injury, and lack of replacement for Dembele: a player who play in front of the back line and act as the first transit hub from defense to attack phase. Hojbejrg is very similar to Harry Winks, but much more polished. Winks lacks that defensive grit, nor as direct with his passing.

Draconian to stop people calling them out. Absolutely arrogant editors know alls I have hardly ever seen get a single rumour correct in any transfer window regarding out club, fun to read though
Tbf they do get a lot of stuff right on t
Ed002 who seems to be the most knowledgeable is a gigantic ABU though and I'm sure he makes anti united stuff up on there sometimes or at least spins a narrative against us.
Yeah, I agree. Gets old pretty quick but the info seems to be decent so I check around every month. Posters there seem, on average, much more football savvy than your everyday caftard, but constant put downs make it a difficult read

Thats how you make sure if a youngster doesnt make it, he'll be stuck with you until the contracts runs out and by then he'll be called deadwood.

Great work
Bollocks. It’s a relatively low contract in line with a new player breaking through to a pl side. It’s Lingard, Rojo, Jones etc that you want to direct that anger to, not Williams.

besides, he seems like one of the few right now that actually sincerely play for the badge.

Continuing to overpay players ridiculously. Should be on £30k per week max. Not sure why the club doesn't just spend £300m on transfers to fix all the weak areas of the squad when they're so happy to just throw away money in other ways.
I agree. Don’t know what he’s achieved to justify a 100% pay rise. Did the club seriously think if it was say 40k he’d refuse to sign and end up at another big club?

You are being very harsh to a 19 year old player having his breakout season for United. Don’t know why you don’t rate him but I think he’s worth it.
And as I said, would cost a lot more buying a new LB. I rather invest in our academy. He will improve, only 19..

It is a big difference giving monster contracts to the likes of Rojo etc. But Williams had a good season and got an improved contract. Don’t know why you so angry about it!
Because it’s an absurd amount.

Barca are an utter banter club.

If he ends up at Arsenal its proof our name was being used and we were never actually interested in him. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to work that out.
Bouhafsi is extremely reliable and he said we met with his reps while they were in the UK recently. I think it’s likely we are just keeping in contact with several defenders; we might be more serious on Benoit (or at least I hope so).

Does it mean we opted for Badiashile instead?
I’m hoping so! To me the Badiashile links look stronger.

 would you like to buy Chris Smalling while you're at it?
Surely there can’t be a better choice than Darmian..

Its in no way a relatively low contract for a breaking player. 60,000 a week is what players like Ben Davies, Davinson Sanchez, Erik Dier, Danny Rose, TAA, and Robertson are on.

Of course TAA and Robertson will have their wages improved when they renew their contract but just to put into perspective.

No wonder why we have the biggest wage bill in england and the third in europe when we give this kind of deals. Brandon would have signed a 25K per week without hesitation, he's a youngster who's not a starter who just played his first season in premier league ffs.

This kind of deals inflate our whole wage structure, wonder how much will Bruno ask for? He's currently on a 100K per week contract.

Well I only read it in the transfer wndows, have for a few years. Personally find the EDs talk as if they are real in the knows and have privvy information, everything stated as fact. Never once seen them get a surprise signing, never seen them talk about us looking at players before its all over the press. And they talk down to the posters, which are far fewer since they changed the site to make it harder to post with the draconian rules someone mentioned.

Personally think there is a four letter word and they are full of it

Its really not. Not for a first team player who has staked a claim fot a starting spot
We’ll have to agree to disagree

A 19 year old getting up to 65k a week? I really hope his motivation is playing for one of the biggest sports institutions in the world and pinch himself that it’s happening

Its so annoying because its something that SAF and Gill were completely on top of. As soon as they left, Woodward went bonkers.
We have no idea the actual detail though. It said up to £65k a week. It could be £20k a week next season rising to £65k over 5 years. It could be £30k basic and £35k appearance fee. As we've seen with a number of other deals at Utd the worst case is always the reported figure.

As for other clubs; they don't have our money and so players don't make the same demands. TBH - it's obscene but I'd rather players got it than the Glazers.

I feel for Williams as well. He got a surprise promotion in the autumn last year after injuries and did really well including scoring a great goal in one game. He has struggled since the restart for form but it was his appearances that have driven an improvement from Shaw IMO.

Ed002 is a proper ABU, I do think the structure what he says is right (amateurs) but the transfers are utter rubbish to keep the non regulars coming back. Whats your user there?

Get your figures right.
TTA is on £60k,
Robertson is on £70k,
Hell, Nathaniel Clyne is on £78k
Shaqiri is on £70k

How do you know Williams would have signed a 25k contract? The simple fact is the club wouldn't offer wages without being able to afford them first, Williams has been very good at times this season and fully deserves to be earning not quite so much as Shaqiri,

The reported figure for a United players wages usually includes their basic wage, house price, furniture, transport to work(inc Fuel) and weekly food shop for the entire contract length.

That contract for Brandon is a farce, he is nowhere worth that at least for now. Give him a 30-40k per week and review it end of next season.
I was hoping he should have even go on loan honestly.
19year old broken through, played out of position and generally done very well when he has played, though the last few games showed he still has a lot to improve and you want him to go on loan when he is currently the second choice left back, give me a break.

Yes its one season and the contract is £10-15k higher per week than it should be but there is a big difference in giving out three year contracts of £100k+ a week to players the wrong side of 30 who are past there peak and this kind of contract to a promising youngster that deserves to be rewarded for gis first campaign.

Find the criticism of him here ridiculous with his new contract

Whether you rate Williams highly or not, the bigger point is that the wage structure in general is deeply flawed at our club. A 19 year old backup who came through our youth academy who isn't rated particularly highly outside the club should not be getting £65k per week and it's a bit concerning that so many people seem to be ok with this. So many people are rejoicing that we just got Sanchez off the wage bill for no transfer fee (and even paid a fee to get rid of him). This is part of the same problem that led to that situation in the first place. Liverpool and City both pay far less to their players than we do despite having a far better team at this current time. I see a lot of positive signs for the club at the moment but this overpaying on contracts has shown me we haven't learned or moved forward as much as I hoped we had.
Why do think he isnt rated outside of the club? Seen several pundits speaking very highly of him this season

Great signing for Spurs. Rate this guy a lot.
Then I will throw in my counter, think he’s a dreadful player that will not give them anything. They already have Dier as a fake tough guy in the middle compensating for his lack of ability, here’s another one. Typical Mourinho, going for someone with bite rather than technical skills.
