We have no idea the actual detail though. It said up to £65k a week. It could be £20k a week next season rising to £65k over 5 years. It could be £30k basic and £35k appearance fee. As we've seen with a number of other deals at Utd the worst case is always the reported figure.

As for other clubs; they don't have our money and so players don't make the same demands. TBH - it's obscene but I'd rather players got it than the Glazers.
Don’t let reasonable thought get in the way of blind anger....

Ed002 is a proper ABU, I do think the structure what he says is right (amateurs) but the transfers are utter rubbish to keep the non regulars coming back. Whats your user there?
Same as here. I think Ed002 is Ian McGary as someone pointed out here so you can see my recent wind up comment haha.
Hard to call them out with their system of editing and selecting posts before they get posted, but at least that got through

Did you notice how lately he was pushing the idea that United should sign James Rodriguez?
He also praised Badieshile - whom United started scouting in 2017 under Mourinho.
He also says that Mourinho is a proper coach (unlike Ole).
All Mendes clients by the way.
He also praised Raiola and said that United should have acceded Pogba s wishes and let him leave and not "outpricing" him out of the market.
At the same time he pretends that when buying a player, we just pay the asking price.

Yeah he’s a proper twat, but you can get little bits of info amongst the vile that he mostly spills daily.

Get your figures right.
TTA is on £60k,
Robertson is on £70k,
Hell, Nathaniel Clyne is on £78k
Shaqiri is on £70k

How do you know Williams would have signed a 25k contract? The simple fact is the club wouldn't offer wages without being able to afford them first, Williams has been very good at times this season and fully deserves to be earning not quite so much as Shaqiri,
Did I mentioned Clyne or Shaqiri?

I know he would have because thats around what youngsters earn normally. What the feck you think would have happened? Him walking away in order to sign with a top club with higher wages? He's not even a premier league stablished player. He may not even make it at pro level still he is earning as a consolidated one.

This kind of thinking is what got us paying Lingard over 100K per week.

But we didn't pay the initial asking fee for Bruno.
Are you sure? I seem to remember the fee reported in Portugal seem pretty similar to what we paid, but for some reason in the UK the asking price was reported a lot higher before. I could be wrong.
On Maguire seemed to me the same happened, the initial asking price seemed pretty similar to what we paid, but then at some point the reported asking price went up slightly

Yeh haha that was you, one of them asked who Ian is. It's "alright" there, decent to check out but it's too controlled.

Your a bit highly strung
I mentioned them two players as they have barely played, but get paid more than Williams, are they worthy of the wages?
Williams has made 30 odd appearances this season alone, for an elite team, I'd say that's making it at pro level, he'll get similar game time next season I'd wager.
I could have mentioned that Dier now gets a lot more than £60k after signing a new contract, but I thought you'd get the point.
Just as a point of reference, Johnny Evans is on £80k at Leicester, Slimani is also earning £80k a week at the same club.
Or how about this one...Jack Harrison, a Man City player is earning £50k a week plus, he hasn't played for them once....but we're the ONLY club paying over the odds
Wages are whatever the club deem you to be worth, not many premiership clubs are paying more wages than their turnover, in fact not one is.

So chill out and enjoy watching Brandon Williams earning potentially UP TO £65k a week, I sure will.

Apparently the actual reason the transfer is being held up is the agent fee of 50m. We’re also apparently sceptical about the deal because his agent offered him to Real Madrid for a smaller fee.
Sorry to go off an old quote but this was actually said on that 'Muppetiers' page a few weeks back. Either one of those on the page you're talking about are an 'ITK' on the Muppetiers page or one is stealing info from the other.

002 really does give it the bigun at times, but he/she is often right regarding the inner workings of the club as evident by another rather amateurish negotiating tatic tonight... because I really don't get what this recent brief is meant to accomplish, you can show the other party during a negation you are ready to walk away through actions rather than shouting through the media unless the purpose is to win the pr thing and appear strong to your fans.

002 does mention Woodward is not in charge of negotiating though, so I'd really like to know who is.

In other news, Aurier has given his approval on his transfer to AC Milan:

The article also mentions that Milan will have to sell one of Calabria and Conti to make way for Aurier.

Am on board with this if true.
Whatever you do don't listen to those fans who will have probably just heard the news on Talksport and start panicking like feck, that is exactly what they want to happen so please don't give the media that satisfaction

Not saying I necessarily believe the story, just saying I'm on board with United's stance in general on walking away from any deal if they are getting shafted. We overpaid for Maguire and the United premium BS has to stop. Somebody else can get rinsed or BVB can be left with an unsettled player.

That being said, I'm praying we get the deal over the line.
