Not sure how reliable these sources are, can never trust the Portuguese media. But what would the Caf make of it?

He'd be excellent competition for Shaw which is badly needed. Williams just isn't a left back and certainly not good enough there for us

Nah, we get linked to 50 players from Portugal every summer

I'm not buying this, but this would be extremely welcome.

All I honestly know about him is he's been class and very good on Fifa for quite a few years now
I'm all in on this, apparently very attacking

Another left back is fine especially for that fees. We only have three full backs that we can rely on. However, this is likely to be BS. I think our focus is Sancho and doubt we will try to sign someone else before we finalise Sancho’s case.

Very good price and he's an excellent player. Guy would walk in ahead of Shaw (even though Shaw is much improved), and provide that width and delivery from the left that we don't have. Would suit Rashford as he's an inside forward and Telles being a complete full back/wing back type.

Don't see it being real though.

Flattering that despite not winning a big trophy for seven years, agents still randomly throw our name around when they want a new club/contract for their player.

Lucky for us fans, we've been down this road too many times to get our hopes up and believe it. :nono: But funny nonetheless.

Whilst I rarely believe these links, I still get my hopes up

He'd be a good signing, we could really use alert back who can get some assists. O Jogo and A Bola are the sources though I believe and that's not encouraging.

Didn't Chelsea have this all but wrapped up only to pull the plug due to COVID and now they're going heavily for Chilwell?

The DF at Porto said he had €120m of outgoing transfers wrapped up before COVID and all of them got dropped thanks to it. They need the money badly also.

Anyone seen him play? Seems to have good stats for goals and assists which suggests very attacking.

I'd take him. His end product is very good and for €30M it's not exactly breaking the bank.

Williams isn’t going anywhere. He just signed a 5 year deal. I would like to move him to RB and see if there is a difference with his overlapping runs. He doesn’t do it at all on the left snd that really stifles the player on the LW. Shaw is 100 times better at that.

If true it would be a good signing. Sign Sancho for 90m. Telles for 30m. Benoit for 30m. VDB/Grealish for 50m. We sell players hopefully for around 50-60m which will leave us with a net spend of 140-150m.

Never seen him play, but heard good things about him and he's good on FM...so that's good enough for me, especially at that price!

Looks a bit like Bruno. Get him in him.

30 million euro is cheap now. Let him fight it out with Shaw, may the best man win.

LB should be last on the list of priorities after RW, AM, CB, DM & ST
I don’t know, there have been so many times that we haven’t been able to overload the opposition because our fullbacks offer us little going forward. If they get compact and make us cycle the ball out to Williams or AWB then we start running out of ideas.

He's been on most caf muppets LB wishlists since about 2017.

We would really benefit from an attacking left-back. He is an attacking left-back available at a reasonable price. Get it done (or, if not him, Sergio Reguilon).

This. We can't go into another season with an injury-prone Shaw as our only proper LB. However I don't think Telles would be happy being backup nor do I think Solskjaer will be prepared to drop Shaw.

He's the best available LB in the market along with Reguilon. For 30M we shouldnt hesitate. But I dont think we are interested.

Well there's also Alex Grimaldo but he'd be a lot more expensive than those two I suppose.

Excellent temperament at left wing back. Clicked well with coman, won CL 23/24 season. He competes with Brandon now. Best first signing ever in any FM series.

He won the PFA player of the year in his first season for me as we were just pipped by liverpool over the final few games. 32 million release clause and tied with Bruno for assists. Sometimes it’s good to not just hoover up wonderkids for every position! :) Sancho wasn’t great for me in the same season actually and his starting position is on the left....

I don't disagree especially when you take notice of the combined assists of Robertson and TAA has been 23 in the league this season. However, I feel we should be addressing the fullback situation when we're got the other pieces of the puzzle figured out.

He actually elevated the entire squad.. Everyone mentored by him became resillient and club general personality changed from "highly ambitious" to "professional" as a result of that. I only signed him and coman.
Bomb!

I’d do a swap deal involving Dalot, have Brandon back up the RB spot.

Shaw/Telles
AWB/Williams

Maybe send Laird out on loan.
