Giving UEFA a giant middle finger

Have always found it weird how the chequebook manager tag that gets attached to Jose rarely ever gets brought up with Pep when he's gotta be getting up there in terms of highest spending managers ever

Considering the clubs he has managed and the squads at disposal he’s the biggest chequebook manager there is.

He'd be a good signing for Liverpool, though I think it would be a poor move for Lewis. He's a young player and I think he could start at some other PL clubs, however the lure of playing for a top team may never come around again and if Robertson gets injured he could get even get a decent run in the team.

Yea as other managers have it used as a knock against them and their ability quite often, it sort of gets accepted as a necessary requirement for Pep to be successful without much outcry

He's a tremendous coach no doubt but he's also been afforded arguably the best set of circumstances in terms of resources available when it comes to recruitment that any manager ever has throughout their career. It's not a surprise he wins a decent amount when he gets a seemingly unlimited budget to be able buy up some of the best talent around Europe every other year.

A manager like Wenger had his squads playing beautiful football for year after year but wasn't afforded nearly the same level of access to top talent due to cheap owners as Pep has. Even the team he made his name with, Barca, had one of the best squads in the world already when he took over. They had won the league twice and a Champions league in the previous 4 seasons under Rijkaard and had multiple generational talents in the squad already before Pep took over yet he automatically gets the lions share of the credit for that era of success for whatever reason as if there was no foundation in place before he took over and he rebuilt them from nothing.

Just always found the near total disregard for the favorable circumstances he's had whenever the media wax lyrical and gush over him nonstop quite strange when stuff like that gets brought in discussions about most other successful managers that also spend a lot

Is he a defender
LB yeah, has a lot of great raw attributes. Can’t say he’s impressed me any time I’ve caught a Norwich game this season though. Most Norwich fans seem to think he’s been their worst defender and he was dropped at one point.

I guess we must think there’s something we can work with and having a natural left footer as cover with PL experience will be handy.

It's sad that Jones has been reduced to a meme. He was an incredibly talented player who's career was utterly decimated by injuries
They would be lucky to have him. Theres no need for them to be cnutish about the link.

We should look at Ndidi instead of Gueye. Not that we're looking at Gueye either, but still... Ndidi is way younger and very underrated. Would be an excellent defensive option to allow Bruno og Pogba more freedom.

I agree with this. But Ndidi will be as expensive as any DM in the world probably, as he's not really underrated at all. He's rated very highly by anyone who watches football, as far as I've seen at least.
