This thread is getting way off beat. Must be a boring day
You remember the Pogba thread? It was carnage at times. Was quite fun though. Anyway, this is my idea of fun. Just talking shite and going off beat with other posters. Not posting some stuff from reddit ITK muppets.

Regarding All this 70-30-20 stuff: is it what WE offer or what the seller wants?

Who? Where are these reports?
This dick has been tweeting the tough stance of Dortmund like its his own money.
He's making up reports from thin air now.
Don't worry. The parties involved are all sitting in front of their Zoom screens laughing at the shit show these supposed ITK's" come up with.

He's gotten more air time on footy shows and recognition in 2020 over the Haaland and Sancho deals than he has the previous 4 years

Definitely get the feeling he's milking it as much as he can
I don’t blame him for it. It’s his livelihood and you’d be stupid not to capitalise on this. Fact of the matter, as long as Ole is at United, we have become very important to him outside covering Germany.

Are you so sure about that? I mean, he has pace and flair, but is he really a brilliant winger? If so, what does that make Sancho? An über-super-duper-brilliant winger?

Here's a statistical comparison between the two, for some added context.

Zaha:

Sancho:

But sure, we should sign Zaha and Grealish instead.
I am for signing Sancho rather than these 2 - but to compare stats when one guy is playing for the 2nd best team in Germany, and the other 2 are playing for teams at the bottom of the P.L is perhaps not quite fair. The way I see it - Grealish stats for that Villa-side are just as good as Sanchos stats for Dortmund. And no - no one should interpret that as me saying I would rather have Grealish

I can't believe you would have Grealish, ridiculous,

They could have at least changed the words 'walk away' to make the brief less obvious. Skidaddle?

You know what? You don't scare me. I was trained by shaolin monks to kill a man using the simple artform known as "bashing their head in with a brick fifteen to sixteen thousand times". Xoxoxo

I'd like to sign Sancho but I'm not going to commit suicide if we don't sign him, so long as the squad is strengthened.

My suspicion is this is all posturing and that in the end United will do the deal. I also imagine there are people at United who don't mind the social media engagements and 'buzz' that day after day of speculation brings.

That being said United have missed out on better players than Sancho e.g. Ronaldinho. C'est la vie. If United really have decided to draw a line in the sand and stop overpaying for players, I'll accept it (even respect it in a way). However, only if the club signs other players to cover the gaps in our squad.

Its true that Sancho would level up our squad. Its not true that if we fail to get him there's nobody better than Mata, Lingard, Andreas or James that we could bring in to upgrade our wide right or attacking midfield options. We cannot be left in a position where the likes of Bruno are bent over from exhaustion on the pitch cos our backups aren't good enough to make a difference against mid-table teams.

If we aren't willing to pay £100m on one player that's fine. However, Bruno Fernandes didn't cost half that. So we should be able to find a few players that can fill our problem positions if we're smart.
