He's said in multiple interviews in the past that he is a Chelsea fan. His old Twitter account has him celebrating the 2012 Champions league win.

I know he recently said "I didn't support anyone" but we all know why he said that.

The idea of a young, football obsessed kid not having a team is bonkers.

Google Sancho Chelsea fan. There's loads of stuff from multiple outlets.

It's not a big deal other than being a bit funny. In one interview he was asked about the best players in the Bundesliga and he said "Saloman Kalou" with a straight face.

Castles has apparently said that we're close to concluding a deal for Sancho. I can't read the article due to using up my free article limit for the week.
Anyone can tell that we got this. Dortmund will be very stupid not to sell him this year, next year Sancho's value will go down to 40m/50m or around that.

It's a castle. Should be reliable.
I just checked the tiers again and this guy is Tier 4! He’s probably just repeating what everyone’s been saying. He sounds like he’s ahead of the pack using words like ‘close’ but I won’t believe that unless the transfer is done by tomorrow.

I think we'll sign him too. It's just the usual posturing from both clubs right now which is a stage we have to go through.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall for transfers of this size.

When journalists say they're in talks all days is it...

United: "£90 million."

Dortmund: "£120 million."

United: "Very well.....£90.1 million."

And so on.

Encouraging that they’ve been in contact today as well. Hopefully something is close.

So Romano says that the negotiations are continuing with the clubs having been in contact as recently as this current weekend and Castles reports a deal is nearing it's conclusion.

That would explain the radio silence to end the past week along with him seemingly being in England right now. I'm not saying to start shedding the clothing just yet but I've got a good feeling about the coming week.

Could see really big news starting to break after our match with Copenhagen on Monday night.

I‘m not sure where people are getting the notion „his price will fall by 40 or 50 million if they don‘t sell him this year“ from. It is totally rubbish. He‘s not in decline and other clubs may be up for it then, too. I doubt there will be much of a price drop. He‘s going to be sold for anywhere around 100m. This season or next.

He’ll have 1 year left on his deal unless he signs

Never in doubt. We know we need him badly. BVB know they need to sell him this summer. This ones in the bag!

But I truly hope we save some money if possible. Need another 1/2 more players this window.

"I was a big Manchester United fan when I was younger," Pulisic told ESPN. "I loved to watch Rooney. I wouldn't say I'm a similar player, though.

"I think his passion for the game is something you don't see much in players. That's what I loved about him."

In this situation, I honestly don’t think that will be a major factor. Yes most players price would massively reduce due to one year being left on the contract.

But Sancho situation is unique in that right now there is only one buyer. In 12 months time there are likely to be multiple interested clubs including the biggest teams in Europe. Just the sheer “demand” will maintain a high price and still close to £100m regardless of only one year being left on contract.

Also, with regards to him being at a party in London. It doesn’t mean he can’t join Dortmund on Monday. All professional footballers are being covid tested on a daily basis and are able to get results back a lot quicker than the lay man. Medical teams have been very stringent with testing.

The 24 hours thing is interesting. I wonder exactly how that works considering the head honchos do have to be sleeping. AKA if it actually just means that the intermediaries are on-watch 24/7, (perhaps with pre-established green light triggers).
I’m sure he didn’t mean that literally.

By 24 hours he just means that we’ve been actively involved in negotiations/finalizing the deal all day.

If this ones in the bag by Monday, I’ll let my weekend last a day longer

The risk of losing him for free would be great. It would put them in a totally different position

Sure, everyone knows that!

Like I said, it's not a big deal at all. John Terry is a Man United fan FFS!
I know. Just wanted to mess with you  We already have Shaw and I remember reading he was a Chelsea fan too

Judging by the tweets, starting to think the 10th August thing is real and is taken seriously by Utd.

I can’t believe some of you guys are getting hung up on the fact Sancho was a Chelsea fan as a kid. This happens all the time. Hardly any footballer ever gets to play for the club he supported as a child.

Jamie Carragher was a passionate Everton fan but went on to be a long standing player for Liverpool and now extremely passionate about them. It’s seriously not a big deal.

I’m a passionate Man Utd fan and always have been. But if I was a pro footballer and Liverpool came in for me with a good deal, I wouldn’t have any hesitation in signing the contract!

YES!!! Genuinely thought we were on the verge of a BBC article like the dybala-deal saying we called it off on price. Both sides really want to do the deal. It's going to take something huge to end this bid now.

If we were sticking to our guns at say (hypothetical time) 70 million and BVB was sticking to their gun at 120 million, this would all be over by now. We'd brief Simon Stone.

Couldn't find his account Young_Origainal_96 so it must be a photoshopped picture ;)
