Shame we've shown our hand on our budget - no chance of getting a deal like Ziyech or Werner. We're just painfully rubbish at negotiating. Need a Director of Football, because obviously it's still 2016.
Neither of those are deals. No one else wanted Ziyech and they activated Werners clause.

But he never made any guess. He just kept the same stance from day one. United have to pay what dortmund are asking and sancho is ours. How does that make him full of shit.
Because he talked of the 2022 contract expiry date on one of the interviews I watched him do. He didn't know of the extension as did none of the footy journos as just proved. So how much can he know about this deal if he didn't know that?

The transfer will happen this year if Sancho makes a fuss and shows he wants to come. I think it’s down to him and whether he’s willing to apply pressure. If not, the move won’t happen, and in many ways, I’m not too bothered if we fail to get a player who isn't willing to burn some bridges to get here.
Sancho doesn't strike me as the sort to throw his toys out the pram to get what he wants, and I hope he doesn't. We don't want a whiner in our squad.

He'll get his move eventually if that's what he wants. He just needs to be patient.

United really should be better with PR in big transfers. The truth ain’t always important, but how it is perceived is.

If we really want Sancho, we should get him to force a move, we have played nice so far. Time to do what the Real and Barca do and get the player to force the move.

This Zorc fella sounds like a shit alien baddie from an even shitter 70s sci fi series so I reckon he’s just going to let all us earthlings know he’s going to blow up Earth if United don’t just stump up the cash at 3:30.
And Woody looks like one of the aliens masquerading as a human in Men In Black.

This is all setup for an intergalactic showdown.

Also, does anyone know what time the stock exchange opens on Xarlax-5?

No one else wants Sancho, supposedly. Or Bruno. Or AWB. All our recent deals have been for players we were the only ones in for. Still took an absolute life time and saw us paying top dollar.

Rubbish. Who could forget the now infamous headline in italian newspapers saying 'Done Dealio'
I stand corrected.

Now, I remember we also had Chilevision and his signing on a United shirt.

So are people still believing that ITKs like Romano and co. really know something, like that the deal was close and how much we are gonna pay and how much upfront, when they somehow didn’t even know that Sancho has a year extra in his contract?

They are glorified sentence generators. They know feck all and it has always been like that.

True muppets know that this is really whats happening. Everyone else in a meltdown is just white noise
Yeah, there is so much difference between experienced muppets who have seen it all and the newbies (in muppetism) who gets their knickers in twist for every news.

I know mate. People won’t have it though.

This guy p*sses me off more than the fact we might not get the player, because after all the whole thread centres around his every feckin word.

Woodward gets worse shit than this from United fans on a daily basis, don't think his skin could be thin enough to fall for it
He probably knows he’ll come off worse if it falls
through though. It’s a good power play I reckon

It fecking sucks, but tbf, we can utilise that money to improve the squad severely, if we spend well.

That's the brief. The deal is still very much on Muppets
If things were really dead we wouldn't be hearing stuff like this, we'd have had the likes of Ducker and Stone saying that we decided not to get bullied by Dortmund or some BS spin like that and are looking at other targets.

Instead we're hearing nothing of the sort from our side to suggest the interest isn't there anymore. Just the usual bluster from Dortmund trying to project an image of strength contrary to their perception as the selling club that they are

So if you don't know everything you know nothing? What sort of idiotic logic is that.
You clearly don't remember Di Marzio. He was the messiah and never got anything wrong......until he got lots wrong.

I think a lot of their work is guess work. Romano has said we will get him if we pay the fee. Wow! What a revelation that is. How on earth did he get such a scoop? Hahahaha

Why do people just assume Woodward is to blame?
Because he has a history of stalling on deals until the last possible minute and then paying over the odds in sheer panic. Your transfer record with him speaks for itself. You are one of the highest spenders in the league and little to show for it.

Let's see what happens in the next few days

Oddschecker shows it has gone from 1/20 to roughly evens after that announcement. As good an indicator as any. :(
Trust me... Bookies have no idea about transfers. I've got Buffon at 12/1 to go back to Juve and Lukaku at 7/1 to go to United (when it was rumoured to be Chelsea). They follow the money and the news. They have no insiders.

The only thing I'm surprised about is the lack of strength from the Muppets this year! This will be done, Dortmund do this with every big outgoing to be seen in a more positive light. As another poster said, it's tiresome and shouldn't be fell for. Sancho will be our 7 before the season starts.

Somewhere in your mind, touching a nerve
To be honest if they are playing hardball we should just move on to other targets. In no way should Manchester United bend over backwards over a transfer, especially in these times.

I'm sure our scouts have identified alternatives. Who knows this could be another Ronaldinho-Ronaldo situation.

Oh well, that's that then. He would have been a superb signing, but if we won't pay the 108 million and Dortmund won't budge, there is nowhere to go. Maybe it will happen next summer, once the Covid situation has passed.

Calm down fellow muppets, this is still on, Ed will panic buy like the idiots did for pasta & bog roll at the start of lockdown.

In all fairness Dortmund have been saying all long, pay up or we don't sell, this isn't any difference, it's business & money talks.

Until Utd come out & say they categorically aren't buying him, i'm still invested, game on!

Yeah agreed the fact that they didn't know he had a contract until 2023 really discredits them concerning this transfer. However, a lot of them do have contacts and have been right before. But with this transfer, don't think people really know what is happening (or what will happen).

Bruno transfer repeated it seems.

Sancho should be signed now but due to incompetence this transfer will stall until next January before both clubs agree on the deal. The sooner Ed Woodward is taken off the transfer and wage business the better.
Did you know it isn't Woodward who actually does the negotiations?

I think the deadline was indeed fake. It was intended to push the deal along faster that it otherwise would.
