Was thinking about this last night. If it freed up money and allowed us to spend elsewhere then I would be. I think Bayern have shown the loan market can be utilised effectively.
Yep,I like what I've seen from him lately.
He seems to be moving inside the box alittle more often in these sub stints while using the ball more effectively when he's outside the area.

Not sure he'd like yet another loan move, though.

Seems like we are just chasing Sancho and then everything else after that, no doubt this Sancho business will carry on for ages and will leave us waiting too long for other targets. Giving the likes of Jones, Lingard, De Gea and like another season to prove their worth and we will be in a similiar position if not worse off this time next year.

Declan Rice.
No way too expensive. Actually would be a great signing though. However you're talking Maguire money.

Would be happy with Brooks plus like 2 more players of that caliber. Along with Smalling and Henderson, that will be a much better team.

Ok, so who will be the last-minute Fellaini-type appeasement signing?
Ighalo on a permanent five year contract. Serious question though, if Chelsea are able to afford signings this summer why aren't we? I mean it's the same pandemic for everyone and we make significantly more than them.

Just click on it, and drag the corners. It's been posted 5 times before too I think.
Caught a vid from Howson on youtube where he took the tweet as something serious and was proper wound up. I don't think he caught it was a joke

I'm not usually that bothered by our dithering most years, but it really is fecking grating to watch Chelsea get quality player after quality player in like they're playing FM while we're still dicking about with naff all to show for it.

Imagine sitting on the bench and only getting five minutes here and there for five years.

I know there's technically 6 weeks, but our first game is in 4... and I don't know about others but i'll be pretty disappointed if we're still signing players after our season has started.

They have been able to spend all their money from last year as well?

Another thing, there is always another thing with me. What is the betting that we withdraw from the Sancho transfer to wait until next summer. Then end up paying near enough the same amount, because there will be other big clubs involved, even though he will have a year less on his contract. That is if we get Top 4 next season and he still thinks we are a good bet.

Even if we sign a raft of players, we are still run by muppets. Why wait this long ffs?

Unless we're doing stuff very behind the scenes it doesn't really seem like we are even trying for anyone at the moment. Execs must still be on a beach somewhere.

They have sold Hazard and Morata for big money, and haven't spend anything last year. We in the meantime signed Maguire, Bruno Fernandes, AWB and James for about 180-190 million and hardly sold anyone, except for Lukaku. They'll sign Werner, Ziyech and Havertz for about the amount they got from Hazard and Morata.

Another year where we make the CL and do little to no business. Meanwhile our rivals are either much better than us or will be because they're making moves in the market.

Woodward and the Glazers are a disgrace but the people that keep propping them up with the 'getting behind the club' slogans are the biggest joke of all.

Yes, except for Lukaku who we sold for as much (if not more) than they sold Morata and Sanchez whose wages are basically a bench player a year.

People talking about financial stability and sound finance handling need to be reminded that the Glazers took a huge loan with huge interest against the club's assets to acquire the club.

That is the big problem. Those players are taking up wages and squad places. Who would have thought handing out contract extensions and big wages to average players would cause a problem?

Financial stability is more important than short term success is it not?
If we had a competent board those wouldn't be the only options. Plus Sancho's resell value will be insanely high for years. It's just all a bit depressing right now.

If Ole had a bit of a backbone he'd be calling out the Glazers and Woodward about a lack of spending. He's literally got to chance of lasting until Christmas unless we get 3/4 players in

What was the fecking point of getting Champions League football to end up like this? Champions League money was for the Glazers new yacht by the looks of it

It's almost as if the club thrives on all the negativity from fans regarding our seemingly inept recruitment strategy. Every bloody year it's the same...and so it will be with us not winning the league and CL.

I don't have a good feeling about this. We're again going to be make some urgent, panic driven decisions and it is going to backfire throughout the season. If we don't make at least 3 valuable addition to this squad, i don't see us improve on 3rd, in fact i see us going back to Europa and i will not for one sec blame Ole or the players if this happens because we are definitely dealing with this at a snail's pace and it is really getting on our nerves now. Bruno was brought in the January market because the fans were unhappy with all the things that was happening during the transfer windows. He was literally something that we as fans got for sitting on their heads but now since they don't have to deal with fans for sometime now, i think they're stalling at spending money in the market again. This Glazer family is just sucking up the cash and not dishing it out at all. I'd be happy if we just spend the revenue we make every quarter. i remember reading that we have around 150 mil to spend this summer and we sat on it while BVB closed the door on us. He would've been the perfect addition to us and he would've completely changed the way people saw us henceforth but no, we had to ride the pride. Now Bayern or Barca or even Real Madrid will hijack that deal and we can do nothing about it. Obviously he'll feel safer there and what's worse, he likes Pool too.

The Glazers turned up during a period where we won the title more often than not. Way ahead of our rivals, in general, over more than a decade.

It says everything about what they think about our club, it’s history, and us the fans, that they have let it get to a situation where we are miles behind our biggest rivals, miles behind a plastic nouveau entity which emerged in the same city as us, and soon to be miles behind another plastic nothing club who are putting football first.

Their activity this summer, when they should be helping the manager address the gap they have facilitated shows the utter disdain they hold for us, and this football club

Every day it gets that little bit more depressing somehow. We clearly have no money to spend, whether it’s being withheld or we just don’t have it, either way.

That is literally my dream job.

Huge pay cheque.
Get to play football with my idols every day.
Limited amount of pressure.
Free tickets to every game.

That would be so amazing. I'd take a 5yr contract with United over winning the lotto.

Edit:

There's a few weeks to go yet, ye fecking simpletons. Stop overreacting.

Training starts next week on the 2nd, starting to doubt that we'll have signed anyone before then. Still no concrete word on any outgoings yet

Chelsea are almost certainly a lock for 3rd now. United could be returning to training without a single signing. Ole should be infuriated if that’s the case after delivering what the owners wanted.

Cavani’s deal to Benfica has reportedly broken down. He would be a shrewd signing on a 2 plus 1 deal, as we could use his experience up front. Don’t be fooled into thinking there no deals to be made that could make us better, there are plenty if we operated more intelligently.

Guides a heavily understrength squad to 3 semi finals and a 3rd place finish and what does Ole get as a reward? Feck all

Hope people remember this when they're calling for his head next season

There is absolutely no way we'll finish in the top half of the league this season. Not with this squad.

EVERY single other team is massively upgrading and rehauling their squad.

I am reasonably optimistic that we'll avoid relegation at least but it might be a dogfight coming down to the final day.

Who's our last match against?
