Loved OG Black Ops (one of the best of the series for me) and I hope this is something more along those lines.

Apparently the game is going to be loosely based on real events but let’s face it, all we want is a solid multiplayer.

Please don’t be cross-gen garbage like CoD:Ghosts.

Cool, a reveal for a reveal!

I've actually meant to pick the last COD up as i don't mind a SP FPS now and again, guess it'll be on sale soon though.

I wonder if they'll include Warzone in it or something? They'll surely have to do something given the immense popularity of it.

Trailer dropping tonight in Warzone? I’m not sure how but we’ll just have to wait until 18:30.

$70 for a version for both gens seems pretty sweet.
Just checked it’s £65 on the PSN store. Not bad.

It does also say on the store that the normal version is BC. But you won’t get the enhancements with that.

Access to beta to those who pre order the game. Modern Warfare beta was a lot of fun and was basically like a finished game so it will give people a good insight. God, I hope they bring some maps back from Black Ops one. WMD, Array etc.

Just redid it with another mate who wanted to see and it wasn’t as good. First one had some epic battles in it and the run to the stadium was crazy busy. Second one everyone was spread apart more

Subject of pricing

https://charlieintel.com/black-ops-cold-war-standard-edition-for-next-gen-priced-higher/62159/

Activision has now confirmed they will be increasing the price of the Standard Edition of next-generation games for their franchise starting with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The “Standard Edition” for Next-gen will include a copy for current-gen users who want to play on that version too.
For almost 15 years now, standard editions of games have been $59.99 for players, with almost all companies offering higher and premium editions for different prices.

I'm surprised people seem to be happy about the cross gen edition. That's going to be a free feature on a lot of cross gen games this winter.

Not looked into it as of yet. But releasing so close to the rumoured PS5 launch? Are they offering free upgrades from PS4-PS5. Really annoying that Sony haven’t confirmed the PS5 launch yet.

You want a enhanced edition then you have to pay extra. The normal version will work fine on PS5, but won’t be enhanced.

Ahh right ok. Does this just apply to 4K though? The monitor I game on isn’t 4K at the minute until I get round to buying one. Will it really be that much difference? Is this the same for games like fifa aswell.

Fifa is a free upgrade with the normal version. Will not matter if your monitor isn’t 4k. Your monitor should be fine for PS5. Don’t expect major differences for both games with current and next gen version.

Yeah, that’s what I mean though. Is it worth getting the enchanced version if you don’t have 4K.

Here are the improvements

With next-generation consoles, the game will play at 4K resolution and refresh rates at 120hz. Cold War will use haptic controllers. The solid-state drives (SSDs) with flash memory in the new consoles will have faster load times, and that means that the loading screens will be gone, with seamless transitions between cinematics and gameplay.

“We want to make sure that the framerate is responsive, and that it feels like there’s nothing on the technical side preventing you from having a good time,” Bunting said.

The game will feature a global illumination system that makes use of real-time ray tracing. That means the lighting and shadows will be accurate, with rays of light bouncing around a scene in a realistic manner. You’ll see the effects of this in things like Woods’ pickup truck (with the fictional brand name Bannerocks), which has a run-down look that feels like it’s from another era. You see duct tape, cracked vinyl, and a CB radio in the interior.

“With the power of the next-gen systems, we’ll be able to add even more detail and put even more love into everything we create,” said Katie Sabin, a vehicle artist at Raven Software

It’s been very well received so far. Remember one call of duty when it had like millions of dislikes?

TTK a bit on the low side for my liking. Will have to wait to I play the beta .Good to see they kept the gunsmith from MW.

Some of the clips of the multiplayer I've seen have insane ads and zero recoil. Gonna be a massively different game. Interested how it links in with Warzone, because it doesn't really seem possible.

Cool, I’ll pick up this one for PS5 when the time comes!
