Are they likely to do similar with Zelda as well?

So, it's basically the Mario version of that Zelda Collector's Edition on Gamecube?
It would be awesome with a Zelda's collector edition on the Switch.

Next year is Zelda 35th Anniversary so I expect some similar collection, along with Breath of the Wild 2 releasing at the end of the year as well.

They can't release too many Zelda games in the space of one year, but I do reckon eventually you will be able to play Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Windwaker, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword all native on the Switch.

I’m close to finishing Luigi’s mansion 3. What should my next game purchase be?

My only other game so far is Mario Tennis Aces. I don’t plan on getting Zelda yet.
Mario Odessey or Breath of the wild probably. Personally I thought Luigi's Mansion 3 was pretty ace to be honest. After so many sandbox games I don't mind well made linear games.

Agreed. Luigi's Mansion was solid fun and I enjoyed having it on rails a bit. The two games you mentioned are the best on the console IMO, with Breath of the Wild possibly being my favourite game ever.

Why’s the Mario trilogy only on sale until the end of March?

Will look to try and buy the physical copy if it is limited.

I always thought Breath of the wild was somewhat overrated. It never felt rewarding to me. It lacked a strong narrative, dungeons and bosses which traditionally make Zelda games great. It was open world yeah, but it never felt rewarding to me and the voice acting was horrendeus. Personally I think the last great Zelda game was Twillight Princess even if it just was a bit of more adult version of Ocarina of time.

Sunshine got a fair amount of shit for a Mario game, but it's the best one for me since 64. Galaxy 2 comes closest out of the others since.
It’s the one Mario game I cannot wait to play again and have been waiting for for years since my GameCube broke, I’ve never understood some of the hate.

Mario 64 ive played countless times but it never gets old, it’s pretty much 3D platforming perfection for me

No. Must buy I guess?
for me they are all fantastic games, I suppose you run the risk of not having any nostalgia giving you a connection but I feel like they’re good enough that they should still produce a great experience

I could never get into Super Mario Galaxy, great level designs and whatnot but I thought it lacked a little character, too much going from a to b. Sunshine's world's way more vibrant.

True. Have you played Mario Maker 2?
yeah I’ve got it, so long as you have switch online there are loads of great challenges even if you don’t make your own courses (which I never did). It’s more a choice between do you want a 2d platformer experience which isn’t overly tied together or 3D with more of a storyline.

To be honest it's for my son, he's loved all things Mario so far. I'm thinking he'll love the triple pack even more.

Ive just pre ordered mine on Amazon. I’d suggest you get it ordered quite quickly mate. Scalpers will be buying multiple copies to sell at inflated prices.

The collection will be limited but the games won’t be. They’ll be selling them all individually (Including Galaxy 2). I’d bet my bollocks on that.

I can't believe so many of you are happy to fork over £40-50 to play games that are decades old and that you've already paid for once or more in the past. I couldn't believe how much Nintendo are charging for this three-pack.

I'm going to stick to playing my original Galaxy disc on the Wii U's lousy Wii mode, and Sunshine and 64 on emulators. I'd be prepared to pay £20 for the convenience of the switch versions, but more than double?! Sod that.

It’s more than I’d like but considering Sunshine is not a cheap game to buy 2nd hand it’s not much more expensive than buying the originals, especially factoring in a lot of us would need to also buy the consoles they play on. It’s about 16 quid a game and they are all easily worth that.

It's £43 to preorder on Shopto which is the cheapest I've seen it.

I've never paid for them before. And of the three, I've only played bits and bobs of 64 at a friend's back in the day. The Switch is the first Nintendo console I've had since my Gameboy Color (or advance, maybe).
Of course you're welcome to feel like you do and thus not buy the games, I'm sure others will do the same. I'll get them at some point though.

I get what you mean, but with the Switches large install base compared to the GameCube and N64 and the Wii having a slightly different audience they'd be silly not to try and sell the games at the quoted price. I don't even think it's that ridiculous with three allegedly quality games.

I’ve bought 64 on the erm...64, the GameCube, the Wii U, the DS and now here. Feel like a bit of a mug but they keep getting me!
