Absolutely right.

When you think back on stories of united players on England duty under Ferguson too, where supposedly they had their own united bubble, makes you wonder about Greenwood going shagging with a city opponent.
I think it's more the society we live in today. Young men given everything at a young age, and they just dont respect it. Morons. One of them has a kid i think right

I understand people saying they are young and made a mistake, but at the same time it's a serious lack of professionalism and extremely foolish. They are away with the national team (first call ups I think?) for a period of a week or so, there is a worldwide pandemic and they are asked to stick to guidelines for the well being of not only yourself, but literally everyone else too. They are 18 and 20, not 14/15.

Not arsed at all about them having lasses into their room, couldn't care less about that. But to go against strict guidelines in place for everyone and knowing what has been going on in the world for 6 months now, it really is stupid to do this. Can imagine both the England set up and United being really disappointed in both of them.
You know there’s only 2 new cases of COVID in the whole of Iceland right now?

I think some of you need to travel more or care less, I don’t know which one it is but they’re about as COVID free as it gets.

The lads are young and stupid, it’s part of being an 18 year old millionaire, mistakes will be made and they’ll get dropped along the way. It won’t happen again and everyone will forget about it as soon as they both start scoring again.

There’s literally nothing to see here.

Weird but that isn’t even close to what the issue here is for me. Young people breaking COVID social distancing I totally understand. My problem is they’re at work. The only reason games are allowed is because of the strict social bubbles that must be adhered to. They will have been told about all this when called up. However, they appear to think they are above these rules at 18/20 years old on their first call up. They have broken these rules putting the game at risk and showing a total lack of discipline and professionalism. They rightly won’t be called back up for quite some time. The fact it was sex related whilst making it somewhat amusing is completely irrelevant to what’s gone on. I couldn’t care less about their personal lives, they can cheat on who they want, that isn’t the issue here. Their sense of entitlement and respect for authority is the problem.
Yeah but all the people taking so much offense over it are also taking offense with me not taking offense over it. It's all a bit of a storm in a teacup. If everyone who's ever broken a rule thinks he's above the law then everyone must think they are above the law.

And I maintain that if everyone who's broken the bubble rule had been sent home we'd have seen dozens or hundreds of footballers and coaches being sent home this past week.

What's that got to do with anything though? So just because of that they can ignore the guidelines in place and do what they want?

The England manager has sent them home, so clearly he and his set up aren't happy.

Well if there’s no cases, how can anyone get COVID? Which was your original concern.

If the media didn’t find out about this they wouldn’t have been sent home. They’d just be on the bench for the next match. It’s a nothing story.

They are both teenagers and we all did stupid things at that age....poor argument.

One of them is supposedly mature enough to be a father. Hopefully they are both still negative and a very important lesson has been learnt at an early stage at the start of there careers.

"She's gorgeous to be fair. Worth it!" - What a tool. So worth the fun (judging by your excitement probably 35seconds of it) for the extremely small chance but still there all the same that you get covid, your gran, friends, child, parents get it and one of them die?........or being more realistic, worth it to get kicked out of the England side and shamed to the nation across the national papers and internet....yes really worth it, I see dumb people

There literally is. Young English superstar sent home from the squad. I wonder why that’s news

Greenwood is clearly MartialFC.
Pretty sure the caf would've pushed for Ronaldo and Ronaldinho to be banned from the sport for not taking the Kaka approach if social media was around back then . Same for the previous English golden generation of the late 90's - early to mid naughties

Because there wouldn’t be a story if the press didn’t get wind of the girls. They’d stay with the squad, get a talking to and sit the next game out from the bench.

According to an Icelandic newspaper interview, apparently one of the Girls in Iceland is claiming they had been in contact for some days before the match took place,

English national team members broke rules in this country yesterday - Icelandic girls got to a hotel

Two members of the England national team have gotten into trouble after receiving a visit from two Icelandic girls at their hotel in this country yesterday. The girls showed off their trip to the hotel via social media Snapchat.

The players in question are Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood and Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden. Both were involved in England's 0-1 victory over Iceland on Saturday. The English national team leaves the country later today.

"Casual Sunday with us XXXX. She was booking a hotel to meet who ?, " says one girl in the video and the other answers. "Mason Greenwood, I'm stressed. Very fecking stressed. "

433.is has received confirmation from the authorities in this country that Foden and Greenwood were found guilty of violating the rules. While teams come together for a project, they should only be at the hotel and during training, players are not allowed to meet other people. "They do not even get permission to meet their family," said a KSÍ employee in a conversation with 433.is.

They then publish videos of Foden and Greenwood at the hotel. It is not unusual for young men to meet young women, but those members were guilty of a serious violation of the epidemic rules that apply in this country. The players were exempt from the workplace due to their game in Iceland.

"We had no idea about these rules, they never said we could not take pictures. "We have sent them and let them know, but they have not opened it," the other girl told a journalist.

She says she has been in a relationship with one of these boys for a few days. "The only thing I can say is that I had been talking to one of them for a few days. I'm not going to say where, "said the girl.

The girls both discussed the matter with a journalist this morning but did not want to say much. "We do not want to discuss this, we do not want to get them in trouble," the other girl told a reporter this morning, but the girls were sorry that the video and pictures of them were in circulation. The video was only intended for close friends, but someone stabbed them in the back by recording it and sharing it.

Mason Greenwood is 18 years old and became a superstar with Manchester United last season, he is single. Foden, on the other hand, is in a relationship with Rebecca Cooke and they have a two-year-old boy together. Foden is in his twenties and started his first national game on Saturday, but Greenwood made his debut when he came in as a substitute

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.

Again, you’re comparing it to the average person breaking the rules. Which it isn’t. It isn’t a storm in a teacup at all. They’re exceptionally lucky it was leaked when it was otherwise they could have been responsible for England potentially forfeiting a competitive match. Like I’ve said, if I was Southgate I would be absolutely furious with them and they’d be nowhere near any squad of mine for quite some time.

Your second point is just made up conjecture. With today’s social media I’d be amazed if it’s true.

It’s about respect not laws, and their clear lack of it.

It was one of a few things I mentioned in my original post, along with the fact they are on duty and have been given guidelines to follow.

So what if that country has not had many cases, when their own team and management have been given said guidelines to follow? As I said, it's a serious lack of professionalism and foolish. So getting COVID wasn't the only concern I had.

And I don't agree, it's not a nothing story. They have literally been sent home, for breaking rules.

As if England, Iceland or Uefa would give up a match because of this . I'm happy you're not Southgate and hope to see them back soon should their form warrant it.

Maybe, who knows, maybe Southgate would have been equally pissed at them for breaking his and Iceland’s rules during this Covid football

What I love most about people taking the morale high ground is they later complain that our players have no ‘edge’.

Decide what you want, a robot role model or a granny shagging Wayne Rooney.

Just accept that players are people too and they make mistakes, it will happen from time to time but everything will be fine.

It is, she has been interviewed by at least one Icelandic newspaper, and its Iceland, it would be common knowledge among the younger generation in minutes after her picture was shown
Iceland is tiny, everyone knows everyone in the capital. I used to work with a lad who went to school with half the Icelandic football team.

They are just two teenage feckboys on a island. What could possibly go wrong? Hope there was no coke involved hehe.
I always thought Greenwood were gay.. must be wrong then. It’s something with his walking/body language
