Is it just me who is surprised that Levy is always in and around the squad during lunch and stuff?

My impression is that he'd have been a part of negotiations for a player having hardly known them, done the deal and then never interact with them again.

I'd have thought he'd operate in a completely different office.

Totally, it’s what I keep repeating myself in this thread about. It all seems far too pally, if rose can stomp about saying tell Daniel I’m looking for him. I didn’t expect that.

Levy has always been like that, he has an open door policy. You have to remember Rose is the oldest serving member of the squad and is known to have a mouth on him, to be fair I doubt he would pass a medical for a permanent transfer, a bit like Lamella.

Rose got some balls Jesus!
His point was completely valid though - the results had been really poor & he just wasn't getting a sniff. It was funny how after that the head of recruitment starting chatting about how they are the most together and settled squad in the PL.

Yeah he wasn’t shy in holding back. He proper went for it. Didn’t even flinch. I think even Jose was surprised at his assertiveness.

To be fair he had a point. Rose can’t have played that bad to justify playing a right footed centre back at left back ahead of him. Every player has a bad game.

He barely looked like he's listening, Rose point was fair but Mourinho's mind was definitely already made up. Can't recall seeing Tanganga much since either

Rose does have a point, Rooney said something similar that he would drop players and wouldnt explain why.

I really find it a fascinating watch. Would be interesting to see them respond to corona virus lockdown

Absolutely unreal episodes that have come out today. The Rose, Eriksen and Bergwijn stuff was fascinating.
Ive posted i before but Jose telling the physio that Son didnt need an xray because he didnt want one was outrageous.

He also admitted that he didn't play well when he played. Which gives the manager every reason not to play him.

Dealing with footballers seems so exhausting. Just watched the Ericksen, Levy and Jose meeting. Ericksen came across so poorly, people trying to explain situations to him and like a kid with no ability to understand other people, instantly with "well that's not my problem", "well it looks easy to me" when people have barely finished speaking.

Seems like he just wanted more cash, really rated himself and was desperate for a move. Now fair enough, but just the attitude stinks of someone surrounded by sycophants and who rarely ever hears "no".

Goes to Inter with a big payday and looks decidedly average.

This documentary is great for those wanting a laugh at Spurs' expense but from their point of view this is car crash TV

I think your taking a lot more seriously than us Spurs fans, its basically a narrative to the season and you get to see a little behind the scenes, pretty much like all the rest of Amazon's docs, I haven't heard any Spurs fans knocking it. I certainly don't see the car crash.

I haven't seen it yet but based on that Rose clip I cannot see why anyone would want that kind of thing to be in the public domain, as fascinating it may be I'd be cringing if I were a Spurs fan

Why would you cringe? It's dramatised for effect, its nothing we haven't known about rose for years, he has a big mouth and little to back it up.

I guess there's just things I'd prefer to be left to the imagination rather than expose what really goes on behind closed doors. Like I said fascinating viewing just don't see why Spurs would want some of this out there?

Yeah that was really irresponsible by Jose. He tried to be clever with his words and say it was Son that didn’t want a scan. But you could see he didn’t care what the doctor said, he wanted Son to play and to just brush whatever the problem is under the carpet.

Its no worse than the bullshit that gets peddled in the media, I see it as harmless fun and can get some insight behind the scenes, the physios, management how the squad interacts.

Yeah he came across with a shocking attitude. Thought that was really poor. He was basically not leaving that meeting unless he got his way out in January.

I don’t think it was for more money though as Levy said they would match any offer he got from elsewhere. Plus he would have got a lot more money if he went on a free transfer at end of season.

But I bet they were happy to get rid in hindsight. He clearly didn’t wanna be there.

Was pretty funny watching Rose have that stand off with Jose about not playing, when he’d wanted to bring him to United just 18 months before. Would’ve been more money well spent.

I wonder if mourhino would have dealt with that differently if the cameras were not there and hit the roof, or maybe the cameras gave Rose extra conjones to do it too

Probably both, Rose has been trash for a good few season, injuries probably the cause.

I feel a bit for Rose, mainly on the Milan part funnily enough.

Such a career / life-defining moment coming and going during a really casual lunch in a situation where no one else in the room, Levy included, has a reason to care.

I find the back room discussions regarding transfers and player injuries/fitness most satisfying.
