Oh, he is outstanding, my point being that he would have to keep this up and then some to be worth £120 million and to have a chance of being top 5 in the world. That is an incredibly high bar to reach.

I am still (just about) an England fan so I hope he does it.
Fair points. I'd say he has a chance of being top 5 in the world. Best in his age group bar Mbappe. Not bad company to keep.

End of the day is Dortmund's valuation is fair considering what he has shown. No guarantees in football. He could get injured and never be the same again, he could kick in and win a balone dor. Who the feck knows.

All I know is since he was 16 he was considered one of England's greatest talents and well he took to men's football fantastically well. Comparable to Rooney and Owen in terms of being so good so young.

Probably not as good but close. The numbers he puts up are insane.

Kajumba is the journalist that’s got the closest connections to Sancho right? (out of all the British journalists)

Quite positive signs of moving closer if that is the case.
Kajumba seems to have a connection with the Sancho camp and even interviewed the player.

Andy Mitten hasn’t a clue I’m sorry. Complete guesswork.
Yeah having listened to most of it and some of his other interviews. He really doesn’t appear to have any information. He’s just giving his opinions which don’t make sense half the time.

@DixieDean casually strolled into this thread, subtly rattled a few cages and sat back with a knowing smirk on his face. I bet he did it whilst sipping a cognac and wearing a smoking jacket. A fine night's work.
It was a bold strategy, Dixie. This is a nest of vipers.
Was an honest mistake, Gov. My hands are clean. I haven't trolled since I was a young man!

Watched him in the Champions League, was not fazed.

Bundesliga stats alone do not justify that type of fee.
We’re quick to mock the Bundesliga but it’s arguably the strongest league along with the premier league.

Bayern just became European champions. RB Leipzig made it to the semi-finals.

Soooo English press confirms what this Romano guy said since months and this is good news because? Wasn't it obvious that the biggest problem for this transfer was the obscene fee Dortmund want for Sancho? Or am I missing something?
Romano knows feck all. English journos know what Woody wants them to know. Most of the time nothing, at times something (which might well be true, or just Woody playing them).

So nobody knows anything? Might as well shut down sports journalism then

For all the excitement today, it means feck all if Sir Ed and the US leeches still think they will get him for 40 million under the asking price

Nothing he's said can be proved either way. Clubs don't come out and explain when terms were agreed. It's guess work and muppets lap it up.

And of course he could be right but it's not because he knows. It's because he guessed right. He didn't even know he had extended his deal until Dortmund spilled the beans.

Lets be happy it seems we are getting him. I didn't think we would this year.
You're absolutely right and everyone else is wrong. Romano is a massive fraud and all the rest of us are just blind. Glad to have you.

Bundesliga is strong but we as a club haven't had the best of time signing players from there recently. Mkhi, Kagawa and Bastian all had eye catching stats before coming here. Bastian was pretty much finished but still, he flopped pretty badly.

What were Mkhi’s stats the season before he joined? Something like 20 goals and 30 assists?

I was already bookmarking in 30 goal involvements in the league, little did I know that was going to be over his United and Arsenal career ffs!

Basically, Journos were waiting on the international matches to be out of the way before cranking the story up a notch.
Could still go either way for me.

In terms of Mitten, he does have strong contacts within United but he’s the kind of insider that will break an exclusive about things like tickets, stadium renovations, academy staff reshuffles, etc. I wouldn’t trust him on transfer stuff; he seems to get the same kind of briefings the other UK journos do.
