Definitely no worse than James and younger. This loan should do him good.

Interesting how a lot questioned why we gave him (slightly) more opportunities then Gomes, and yet one is going to be playing in the German top league whilst the other will be in the French 2nd...

Edit - this is factually incorrect. Ignore.

Do you know the future or something? Are Lille going to be relegated to Ligue 2 before Gomes returns from the top Portuguese league?

I thought they loaned him up a Ligue 2 side...my mistake. Still they did loan him out, though Lille are a better side then Bremen.

As it stands with Rashford not having any competition on the left, and Greenwood/James being the options on the right, i personally think Chong should have stayed. Surely he would have got good minutes?

Now he's with Bremen he'll do well there i think. Hopefully 1 season will be enough and we get him back asap

James was a left winger before he came to united. He was put on the right as we didn't have any good right sided options before greenwood stepped up

He might actually be a nailed on first XI player at Utd a year from now. Scott McT reckons he's the most likely to make it to the top out of a list including Garner, Levitt and Mengi

To be fair, that is not a strong list. I mean Mengi is still a kid and relatively new to the first team, and Levitt was never that highly rated as one of the best prospects, hence the League one move. Garner is the only one that was in the previous group with Greenwood, Gomes and Chong. Chong did the perfect move and found the perfect club for game time. Garner i am not sure, Championship was fine, but Watford have decent midfielders.

Taken off on the 64th minute. I thought this season might turn out to me shambolic for Werder and I still have that feeling. Didn't do much really.

I saw it up until 1-0 and actually he was quite influential up until that point. Don't know what happened after that. Obviously Werder being crap might have something to do with a disappointing performance.

Where is their supposedly best player last season, Rashica? The rumoured replacement for Sancho?

How is Chong doing so far on loan?
Just scored another goal in a friendly.
Did great in pre-season and in the cup game and already got some minutes in the Bundesliga.

But Bundesliga is some other level , but think he will addapt to this.
Despite our 6 points in the first three games we haven't played the best football so far, so it was difficult for him after he was subbed in.

Diallo and Pellestri signings make his future here a doubt.

Maybe so, but hope he shines for WB so that we can actually get a decent fee, or at least make it a difficult call to sell or keep. Those 2, along with the Sancho interest, should emphasize the jeopardy he is in when it comes to a spot on the United roster.
