Getting rid of TAA does mean you can get at least 3/4 premium players in attack and midfield. Don't think this is the year for defences. I think the lack of crowd makes games less tight and compact.
I've done that. I have Digne as my premium defender, he's basically Everton's TAA in terms of attacking role (though team is obviously weaker so will result in fewer goals and assists) and I hope that there are no more than 3-4 clean sheets between the two teams this year. But this gives me flexibility to have all of Auba, KDB and Bruno without filling the rest of team with players that suck and hoping they don't suck anymore. Of my 15 players I can trust 12 to get above 100 points this year and at least 7 to go above 140.

Was gonna take out havertz for the liverpool game but now Werner is doubtful. Think it could be DCL for Werner this week. Can't see lampard risking him. Or martial maybe

Most of the first team haven’t played any kind of pre season. We struggled against Palace a few months ago. Is that enough?

That said I brought in Martial for Ings this week :D
Palace are ridiculously defensive against the bigger clubs and will look to play purely on the break.
Yeah looks like I will be sticking with Ings for now. I have about four players in danger of their prices dropping though, but I need to keep that FT.

I played the wildcard already. Only kept 2 players from initial 15. Changed everyone else and put out a team stronger/more balanced.

I have Werner, Son and Auba who are being transferred out like they're viruses. Two of those returned! Bloody casual kneejerkers

This year it is a bit more understandable though, because of the weird GW1. People are just diversifying now to include the Manchesters.

Working on a wildcard to get De Bruyne and Fernandes in before the price raise and are stuck which duo to pick to round out the team.
Foden and Justin/ Walker-Peters or Wan-Bissaka and Saint-Maximim

I think if Foden starts this season, then the former.

I get that but Auba going down in price after scoring AND his next game is David Moyes' West Ham, who looked awful against an average Newcastle team? And most people swapping him to KDB, who has had no pre-season against Wolves away, who are defensive and appear to be City's bogey team... that's why I say casual kneejerkers!

Transfer out Auba is crazy. West Ham next. He is my captain.
Same.

How are people approaching this?
I already had Greenwood in on the bench ready, and I’ve taken a -4 to bring KDB and Bruno in. That was my plan and I think I’m happy I’ve stuck to it, although I’d like to have kept auba.

Better to wait til the last min but can’t be arsed watching price rises.

Taking a 16 point hit after a dreadful 39 pointer first week. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Blimey, I got 38 points this GW but I'm not making a transfer this week. Everyone in my team that could start did start, so a reason for me to at least give my squad another GW to assess the situation.

Really torn on taking Ings out for Martial, or leaving Ings in for another gameweek.

Annoying to see KDB and Fernandes rising in price without having kicked a ball. But I'll worry about that when it's time to do my wildcard after gameweek 4.

Yikes, how much did 1 GW really tell you
That I picked a team that looks better than it really is.

Out of interest, who is in your team mate? Mine is as follows:
McCarthy
Davies Gomez Robertson (Dallas)
Auba ASM Pereira Son
Werner Ings Kane

The price rises will be a problem for me as I had nothing left over from my proposed changes, which included Bruno and KdB. I got 76 points so it feels ridiculous to wildcard. Can’t help but shake the feeling that I should do it before it’s too late, though.

Potentially a big mistake this matey. I did similar, although a bit less drastically, last year and it turned out I would’ve been better off not doing.

TAA to Digne will allow me to upgrade son to Bruno. Pull the trigger? Or Doherty to Justin which allows me to do the same.

Apparently KdB and Bruno are scheduled to go up tonight, I am imagine due to the sudden surge in ownership.
Thanks. I am considering a swapping Bruno for Salah but wanted to wait till Friday just in case he has some injury or something. Might as make the change right away.

Yeah I’ve just reconsidered it  Thanks mate and everyone else who suggested not to do it. It’d be idiotic to throw away 16 points before 4 teams have even played. Just gonna do Werner to Martial, and potentially Ings to Richarlison.

Funny old game FPL.

Ings against spurs in an early kick-off, is a guaranteed goal

If you've already made the transfers if you make your wildcard active it'll cancel the -16 points.

I am going to ignore the value and go with the players for the points.
It is a bit stupid though that value can be so important and that following the majority pays off too much.

Martinez, Ramsdale
TAA, Lamptey, Aying, KWP, Coady

Martial, Kane, Mitrovic

A few players I'll look to get rid if they lack returns (ASM, Pereria and Mitrovic), but I'll give them a couple weeks or so.

It’s similar to mine in terms of budget spread. I agree with the players on your get rid list, but I’ll look to accelerate Pereira’s sale. He seems an easy fall guy for a newly promoted club who may want to solidify.
