Manchester United are exploring the possibility of signing right-winger Amad Traore from Atalanta.

The MEN understands Ivory Coast-born Traore, 18, is not seen as an alternative to Jadon Sancho and United have contacted Atalanta amid competition from other clubs.

Italian sources have warned Traore will not be cheap despite his playing time in Serie A amounting to just 30 minutes. Traore has been heavily linked with a loan move to Parma.

Traore became the youngest player, at 17 years and 109 days old, to score on his Serie A debut in Atalanta's 7-1 thrashing of Udinese last season and travelled with the squad to Lisbon for their Champions League quarter-final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain last month

According to transfermarkt, he has played most of his games as RW (for youth teams btw)

I feel like he was linked a while ago that we were scouting. Id be happy with any RW to rotate with Greenwood at this point. One with potential is ideal.

Random winger who just turned 18 and would go in our youth team. More of a reserve team signing with long term hopes rather than actually signing someone who will have any impact in our first team.

Big talent but barely played for Atalanta Bergamot yet. We were linked to him previously iirc.

I think it was stated that it is not an alternative to Sancho so yes looking to bolster the youth talent

Will just copy and paste my reply from that Valencia midfielder thread:

It’s again such a nothing story. We’re “exploring” signing him. We will never hear of this again from this day forward.

He is a talented player. Has been excellent at youth level but would be a gamble on how well he could translate that to the senior game.

Nothing will come of it. Funny how this breaks as soon as Regullon is signing for Spurs.
Anyone else sick of United monitoring and exploring. Id love to explore and monitor on their salary.

Imagine him being a lucky punch and is like Alphonso Davies, who is also only 19, and he performs
I would love to finally have a cheap transfer again who turns out to be a star.

Literally a PR spin.

Thats all this club is good for.

Rguilion done, PR spin on this guy.

Sancho plays for Dortmund - Some journalists still saying he will come, he has told england team mates he will sign.

It is boring now. We are not signing anyone.

Absolutely right.
Any Sancho articles or updates that drops I don’t even read anymore. Beyond tedious now. They must think we are idiots for not seeing through this. No other top club operates in this manner, Bayern, City, Liverpool. To put it simply we are not one despite Woodwards claims. After all the promise shown last season. So sad.

This club knows how to force the fans to revolt. It should have been a summer where we had a good finish to the season, get 2/3 players in and improve.

Instead we are in the same position we were when Jose finished 2nd. Leave the manager out to dry.

Clearly we aren’t signing him unless they accept the two Bob we find behind the sofa.
