A number 10 like my idol of youth, Lou Macari, she’s been to Italy and has an international sounding name - yet she is far more elegant as a player. She has wonderful ball control and is a passmaster in midfield more like a deep lying playmaker for Man United so far.

She grew up at Man Uniteds centre of excellence, but had to leave to play senior football, first for Liverpool and then Juventus, before coming back to United at 22 years of age. I’m quite sure she is the only player in history with that particular trajectory!

Having games for England at youth levels, I won’t be surprised if she develops into a full international in time. She certainly has potential to form a key role in Man United’s women Mk 2018.

That’s madness, I was trying to work out how she could score from there getting it over the wall and down again in time then remembered they are all probably somewhere in the height range of 5ft4 to5ft 8 or something and not 6ft plus. Cracking freekick not as good as her previous one though. Shoddy goal keeping aside that was brilliant.

Pocking up this thread again as the season is over and Katie has been voted Player of the Year at Manchester United. She really has been the right player to build a promotion seeking team around. She’s still young, and I’m wondering why she’s not a part of the Lionesses yet. Next year it’s going to be interesting to see if she can still dominate and orchestrate games against the best in the country.

My favorite player for Manchester United Women, a joy to watch and so technically good on the ball. She should of been captain from the start so this is great to see her quality and leadership being rewarded:

On the bright side, you've actually entered one of the least annoying areas of the forum by posting in here.

Good to see you back.
Haha, yeah it seems so. Have had a lot of interest in the academy as well for a few years now, but even that forum is somewhat a tough read. But I still love this place, good to be back :)

Apart from the obvious serious, that I hope she’s okay and that she hasn’t passed it on to anyone in higher risk, I secondarily hope it hasn’t spread to the rest of the team.

I sincerly hope she has not played games or trained with symptoms since that could make the infection much more serious. just hoping she will be OK <3

Aren’t most of them in a house share situation. Surely as well the ladies get tested as rigorously as the men’s team for Covid as well so you would have thought she would have been tested before she played in the previous game.

I know she was sharing a house with Jess Sigsworth last season, I'm guessing she still does.

I think they're on the standard FAWSL testing plan - which basically means weekly tests. No one tested positive in those last week. Of course weekly testing opens the question of which day was the test and when did you get infected/become infectious.

I assume that contacts follow-up is the phase we're in now. I would guess Jess is in self-isolation like Katie.

I hope she hasn't got any serious symptoms and her family/friends are ok.
