I've been watching Death Note recently. It's class.
This is one of those things that I’m reluctant to watch again because I don’t want to spoil it for myself as it just seemed perfect first time round. I love the concepts in it and how it plays out.

Yeah it's had a lot of thought go into it. The amount of double bluffs and triple bluffs  I think it was superb and best in the first ten or so episodes (I'm on 18 now) but still good.

I think it’s been maybe 7-10 years since I watched it and it still makes me think about the morality of it, it’s just so good.

I recently watched Tokyo Ghoul which has 3 seasons on Netflix. 1 st season is really good, 2nd is decent 3rd I’m working my way through.

Anyone watched Boardwalk Empire? I tried it out a few years back and really couldn't get into it, I'm thinking of trying it again.
It's a great quality show but I totally agree it's kind of hard to get into, meaning what or which character should you grow into. Actually I had the same dilemma with Mad Men. Unbelievably good tv but hard to become attached to anything or anyone

Yeah that's disappointing, I really like growing to like characters in a show, or hate them too. But will still try at least 1 full season and take it from there.

Started the Prodigal Son with Michael Sheen as a serial killer seems good so far and not sure why but i am getting a vibe it's similar to The Blacklist

Started watching Brave New World , it got fairly mixed reviews, the setting kind of reminds me of the film Logans Run. I'm 5 episodes in and find it watchable but not exactly awe inspiring however I will persist. The book is on my 'to read' list.

Well I finished both Deadwood and Rome, I finally got that off my years old backlog and loved them both, Rome was a bit easier on the watch with it being more dynamic than Deadwood but both are brilliant.

Is Bosch worth a watch? Remember someone mentioned it to me on here before but never got round to checking it out.

Louis Theroux's new retrospective series, looking back at some of his most memorable encounters and speaking to some of the people involved, has been brilliant.

3 episodes currently on the BBC iPlayer with 1 left to go.

Just binged 2 season of Aggretsuko on Netflix. What a fantasticly strange yet charming show. Writing is top notch for an anthropomorphic anime.

Would highly recommend.

The Third Day a six part miniseries starring Jude Law/Emily Watson/Paddy Considine. Wish this was bingeable now as its just one episode per week, watched the opener last night and was well impressed and hope it remains this good for the remainder. It definitely has a Wickerman vibe, its quite mysterious with some menacing locals among the characters who live on the island that is accessible by car only when the tide allows. Jude Law is excellent in this so far.

I‘m on episode 2. It is enjoyable along with Raised by Wolves from HBO. I am really happy they’re getting some new stuff out with other shows potentially delayed.

Binge watched Yellowstone and it was fantastic. Brilliant Season 3 finale and can't wait for the 4th!

Started The Bureau now. It's an extremely highly rated French espionage drama. Really liking the opening episodes.

Never watched a Star Trek show. Is Star Trek Discovery any good?

Saw it advertised on Netflix and I have sci-fi itch that needs scratching.

From within Trek, I'd recommend The Next Generation or Deep Space Nine, from outside that the Expanse.

What made Trek different was that its sci-fi future was utopian (unlike pretty much every other serious sci-fi show ever), and this is very obvious in TNG and is evident (but challenged) in DS9. But it's abandoned in modern Trek (Discovery and Picard), and the Expanse is a much better non-utopian show than those.

I've just finished the Haunting of Hill House (10eps) and the Haunting of Bly Manor (9eps)

Both absolutely brilliant series on Netflix, I think Bly Manor has it's own thread here, which I might camp in for a bit! Both made by the same team both completely different stories and both absolutely fantastic, I loved them.
