In terms of pure quality, we’ve not had a better midfield since Scholes-Carrick in 2008-09.

He will be starting more games than people think. Wouldnt be surprised to see that he has more appearances than Pogba by the end of the season
With Pogba having 'the Rona' so recently, perhaps VdB will even start right away. Ole was impressed by last match.

Unfair amount of pressure this kid is going to face will be insane. Fellaini-esque, but at least he has a talent we need right now. I hope the best for him, and will be cheering him on as hard as I do Fred.

True, simply because Ole has not signed a single backup player so far. Everyone is signed with the intention of improving the first team, and they are only dropped if they play badly (James).

Disagree about pressure. He’s come at a relatively cheap price, and without much hype. A large proportion of fans inside and outside of United don’t expect him to be a starter straight away. He’s actually in a very good position pressure wise.

The pressure will come if he’s the only signing of the window and doesn’t start well

We will have to agree to disagree.

He fo s into a very strong midfield, and even if he’s the only signing he’s not expected to make a difference from the start (that’s not to say he won’t). He’s got a pretty easy introduction.

Saw this on Tifo Football.

They reckon he's a rotation option for Pogba and Bruno. Also i can imagine he'd be a good Matic replacement against sides that just park the bus against us.

He’ll definitely start tomorrow - he’s been training with us much longer than Pogba and Bruno. Wouldn’t be surprised if he plays the 8 role and Pogba comes on for 20 mins

From Ole's words and the way he played against Villa i'd say he's going to be playing as a CM with instructions to get forward into the box ASAP.

Pogba will sit deeper and be the DLP.

He'll probably start from the bench. Matic or Fred will start in that deeper role with Pogba and Bruno completing the midfield.

We really do have an absolute quality forward line and midfield it’s just the issue of squad depth that would be so easy to resolve. Back up to Matic and back up forward!

Going by how we ended the season, seems like Ole has identified Fred as player to play that role as well. Ole also said VDB can play deeper.

Yeah I mean we also have McT but the forward line situation is desperate. If we aren’t playing Greenwood tomorrow it’s going to be James or Even Lingard. Simply not good enough.

He brought balance to the midfield when he came on, and scored with a tidy finish. Deserves to start the next game.

Had a very good debut. Like Bruno looked well above those around him. Took his goal very well and involved in everything good we did once he stepped on the pitch. Pogba has to really up his game or he might have to get used to the bench.

Really well taken goal, I really like his technique. Early signs are promising.

Delighted for him. Shame his first goal was in that shitshow of a game.

If Pogba keeps this up, Donny's getting a lot more games than we thought.

Took his goal well and that's about it. There were a few moments in the game where he paused on the ball,. Clearly waiting for a teammate to make a run, but there was.no movement ahead. Can see him getting very frustrated with that soon.

Was funny seeing him moving around, getting on the ball and stopping, seemingly shocked that Man United isn't Ajax level of technique and off the ball movement and general coaching.

Poor lad.
The amount of times he was directing the right plays by pointing at the best attacking pass and not recieving the ball and the space he got into but no-one found him.

The lads need a brain reset to harness him

Think he’s gonna make us realise that Pogba isn’t as good as many think he is. Might get shot down for that but that’s my gut feeling
