To be honest acting like assists don't matter for midfielder (or any player for that matter) is a low even for Glaston and there is little point in engaging in a constructive argument against such intellectual dishonesty.

Sancho: 35 goals in 98 Dortmund appearances = 0.36 goals per game average
Son: 89 goals in 232 Spurs appearances 0.38 goals per game average

Far from not being in the same region, Son is actually slightly higher in the same region ... with most of the games concerned played in a tougher league. Sancho is of course very young, but your stats argument doesn't hold water.
Assists count for productivity too.

Sancho: 35 goals and 45 assists in 101 Dortmund appearances = 0.79 goals/assists per game average
Son: 89 goals and 47 assists in 232 Spurs appearances = 0.58 goals/assist per game average

Son's numbers are very strong, but like the original poster says - a 0.70+~ g/a per game is the very highest level of productivity.

Edit: I know we were just meant to laugh and point at you, but still. Did the very basic maths for you.

I hope so, but he's been putting pressure on Woodward and co to get him a right winger (not Sancho specifically) and the only reasonable one we can get is Sarr right now.
All the manager can do is give a list of names though, it’s on Ed and his gang of idiots to sign the players.

If we sign a substandard replacement then we have to blame Ed for his incompetence.

We’ve neglected RW for a decade other than Dan James.

The idiocy of barging into this thread, just to randomly tell folks how sOn iS beTer alone is someting else  I mean, we could also talk Son's stats from back then when he was a 20yr old BuLi player and compare, but that would be arguing with a fool...

I think the club did move on from this transfer, I think they moved on a long time ago
Fair enough! In that case, it's the "bring in the other signings ASAP" part that's still missing. Honestly I wouldn't necessarily mind losing out on Sancho if it felt like we were on point with the other transfers.

What have Dortmund done in the market? One would assume they would want a replacement or will they only from their ranks? Still think we have to sell but at this, surely just pay the money or move on. Dortmund hold all the cards here sadly.

And Dan James played primarily on the left in the season before we bought him, so probably shouldn't count either.

The last actual right winger we bought was Antonio Valencia in 2009, which is mad.

Just waiting for the brief that we were never in for him like Bruno last summer. Then history will repeat itself and we'll offer the full price in January when we're around 6th in the table. We never learn.

Juan Mata shops at Sports Direct.
My mother spoke to him last year.
She told me he had been there, after he'd left.
I refuse to believe someone as classy as Mata walked into a Sports Direct unless he was lost.

Move on!

We should table a bid for Koulibaly. Yes- I know we have about 15 central defenders but most of them are crap!

Forget about Sancho next year too. He ain't coming.

I don't think we'll go back for him, it's done. For one he isn't as bothered about coming here as it was made out and also we've probably come across as an absolute joke. Somebody else, Chelsea or Liverpool probably, will come in and swiftly get a deal done next summer.
Yeah pretty much. Plus hell cost even more with all the clubs bidding for him

I was still reasonably confident we'd find a late deal but the new restrictions and news that there will be no fans in October just make it less likely in my opinion.

Don't fancy test Leipzig's resolve for Upamecano instead then, having said that Koulibaly does seem more available but see us being put off by age and price

You're acting like that guy that gets ghosted by a girl and his friends tell him to forget about her, whilst he make excuses on her behalf. That's how desperate this POV comes across right now.
Just want him to come out and say he is staying because this saga is tiresome, lets spend the money on a top CB whether that's Upamecano/Koulibaly

Remember last year when we were sick to death of the Maguire saga?

We finally signed him on the 5th of August... 3 days before deadline day.

So therefore we are definitely absolutely gonna sign Sancho 3 days before the 5th of October deadline day.

Sancho Day will be October 2nd.

100%. Mark it in your calendars.
