Doesn’t he play on the left rather than the right?

Certainly was highly rated, doesn’t seem to have played much since his injury. If he does actually play on the right, then could be worth a punt. Chelsea seem to have no issue in selling players to us. He wouldn’t come cheap.

Every player we sign plays better on the left . I wouldn't be surprised if we ever sign a goalkeeper who can only save shots to his left some day

Would definitely take him. They put him on a ridiculous wage to fend off Bayern and looks like a very foolish decision now.
If he’s already on a ridiculous wage, then wait till Woodward gets to offering a new contract. He can do things in the transfer market that others can only dream of!

I would take him but personally be very surprised if they considered selling to us for a third time if we are even interested of course.

Had a big injury will cost a decent fee. What I don't understand is how people will rate CHO as being a first team winger but then disregard Dembele who is currently twice the player. A loan on the other hand would be the most viable option.

I'm not a huge fan to be honest. Think he's very hyped. I suppose the biggest difference is that Sancho walks straight into our starting 11. Hudson-Odoi on the other hand doesn't. Hard to imagine we could get him for the kind of price you'd be happy to pay for a second string player. Solskjaer seems to be a fan though so I wouldn't dismiss the idea of us making a bid

They've got their shiny new toys, they don't care about developing players in the slightest.
Also, he's not been very good and is really overhyped. We have a much bigger and better talent in Greenwood to develop as it is. If we're going for someone young it should be for someone much closer to the level we need like Sancho or a genuine alternative like Dembele (when fit). Hudson Odoi could barely get into a very poor Chelsea team of 19/20.

This is the club that ditched De Bruyne, Salah and Lukaku.

This is pretty great for a 19 year old:

He has been painfully average since coming back from his last injury. The fact hes only 19 means he can kick on and live up to his pre injury hype. I have family and friends that watched him regularly for the youth team and he was magic. Probably the best youth player they've ever had.

My friend had a son who played for chelsea u12 as a keeper and he got us tickets for Chelsea v UTD u21 years ago and he was the best player on the pitch by a long shout. Other players who played that day were christiansen, loftus cheek, Solanke and Andreas Pereira. CHO was incredible.

I would take him if it was cheap. Shame he will be expensive with a risk with his development. Not what we need.

I don't think he was ever worth the hype. Mainly rocketed into known prominence because Bayern were in for him. He's done nothing in the Premier League to show he's a big player yet.

I thought he was one the better Chelsea players in their last game against us. There's still a potential star player in in him, but he really needs minutes. A move to a smaller club might be his best option

It's because there are more right hand people than left handed people (10 - 1 difference) and inverted wingers are all the rage these days.

Currently he's not even better than someone like Zaha, his level would be a club like West Ham or Brighton so would be smart for Chelsea to sell him now.

He would obviously cost a lot less than Sancho and he has a lot of talent and potential. Bayern are no mugs so if they rate him he obviously is good. Would be a good transfer for 20-30m.
Bayern have had some shockers as well over the years, fact he cant get near the Chelsea side should say he aint good enough for what we are trying to achieve. if he wasn't English no one what ever talk about him

If we cant get Sancho this summer (therefore zero chance next summer when everyone has money again and we dont make CL) then i would take him. He's young enough to overcome his Achilles injury (takes 12-18 mths after you return to full training to get back to pre-injury levels. Same for a ACL), can play on both wings as well. So definitely. He has potential. Bayern arent mugs, they saw something in him.

Any comparison to Zaha is uttery stupid. Zaha is at his peak, age wise. CHO is still in his development years.

He was one of the best youth players in world football which is why people talk about him, nothing to do with his nationality.
he wasn't really had a few good games in the Europa league, because he was English and at Chelsea he got hyped well up,

They'd need to find a club that would match his 120k a week. Would be a difficult one to move on, unless he would be prepared to take a substantial pay cut.

Loan with option if we can’t get Sancho, that would be the best deal for us and I’d take him in that scenario. Still has the potential to be class and would be the perfect rotation with Greenwood.

Ridiculous anti English sentiment.

It’s to do with him being at a big club, and that another big club were interested. Nothing to do with his nationality.

He won the u17 World Cup with England. He was elected to the u17 European Championship team of the tournament. He was Chelsea youth player of the year when they were one of the very best youth teams in European and world football. His youth career was very highly decorated and he was one of the best about. That's why he's highly rated. Nothing to do with his nationality. That doesn't mean he'll be a top player in senior football but its the potential that a side like Bayern will fancy helping him realise.

I think that a lot of people haven't followed Dembélé at Barcelona and logically assume that he has been poor mainly because the catalan press generally had negative reports. The only real issue and it's a big one is that he has had multiple big injuries but between them he has been very productive. Optics are generally influenced by the way papers report things.

He really isn't going anywhere. He and Rudiger haven't started two games in the only two games we've played and of course the papers ‘feel’ they might be considering their futures. Nothing reports.
They tried it with Mount and got immediately called out for it by his father. Basically ‘move on to next and hope it sticks’ reporting.

I agree, there's a very good footballer in there somewhere, I would definitely take him over most of the alternative names mentioned. However, I doubt this would happen, we've probably got more chance of getting Sancho.

if he wasn't English he wouldn't be in this thread, plenty other young wingers who have done better in the first team them he has performed

You claimed that people talk about him only because of his nationality which is completely false. They talk about him because of his achievements and performances at youth level.

He's 19 years old and still has time to realise his considerable potential.

its not, no one in Europe will talk about CHO, Bayern were linked with him and lets be honest it was only really because of the success of Sancho and another young English boy had done well over there, cant remember his name now.

He's very overrated due to the Bayern interest. I've watched him a decent amount and he seldom ever impresses.

Bollocks. Just sounds like you want to have a dig.

Who? If he came through Chelsea’s academy and was French, German or any other nationality he would have had the same attention, it’s because he’s at a big club.

Nonsense. Bayern don't buy people because of their nationality. Why would they have bought Davies if that was the case?

I'm not big fans of Sarr but I prefer Sarr than this guy at the moment. Although Sarr is few years older which is slightly understandable.

To be fair, Bayern wants him now but let's be honest, this guy will likely be signed for purpose to be 4th choice winger behind Sane, Gnabry & Coman. It doesn't need to be that special to be 4th choice Bayern's winger.

He was excellent and then got that horrible achilles injury, hasn't looked the same since.

Probably needs to move away for his own sake and start playing regularly again. Chelsea have obviously decided they don't want to give him the time to prove himself, so a loan away at a decent club is the best bet.

He should go to somewhere like Brighton who play good football but won't be under too much pressure.
