I disagree. I was a big fan of Rashford before and used to defend him when my friends criticised him. I thought his dribbling was really good.

Then I started noticing his form after lockdown. I was watching a match with my friend one day and he was being critical of him, and I was not agreeing and then he told me "Bro just look at him everytime he gets the ball, the move will slow down/break down".

After that I saw that and realised he was right. Rashford right now is a shadow of a player he was before the injury.
His dribbling is good when done at pace and with space to run into. Compare his close control and touch in the box to Martial though, they're miles apart.

Whether it's the injury or not, it's not the first time he's lost form in exactly the same way. He needs that bit of space to play in.

Hopefully this goal gives him a good amount of confidence boost. We really need him if we want to do anything this season.

Looking over my shoulder.
I thought he looked a little slow and cumbersome after his injury, but blimey, today he showed some speed. That top speed run down the left was staggering, and the acceleration before his goal was brilliant! Hopefully he will find his way back to his best. He can be scarily good.

Good to see Rashford looking something like his old self tonight. Moved like grease lightning and got a good goal.

It was a very quick and clean shot from him, more of it please. Good to have him on the scoresheet, shall help his confidence - and it’s nice to see the trio of Rashford-Greenwood-Bruno have a good feel for each other.

Needed that confidence boost. I'm pretty much done with seeing him on the flanks now, I don't want to watch it anymore.

Very happy he scored with a clean strike to open his account this season. Didn’t really learn anything else

The hate he gets over here is way over the top imo. He will never be the second coming of CR7. But he's a very useful player and he is a true Manc. I think some people underestimate that fact. I for one will continue to show him true support because i believe/know he has something special in him.

Rashford needs to remember he is a professional footballer for manchester united and nota political figure.

Whilst his stance on non football matters is to be admired, he has been utter trash since he got involved in it all. This is a fact.

Need to see huge improvement in his performances, the goal on tuesday may help, but the arrogant swagger he has at the moment, and the half arsed cutting inside and tappy tappy flick football is a long long way from the youngster who came into our squad and ran his heart out for the cause. and looked as though he was gonna be the next big thing.

Time is on his side, its now down to him

Come on Rashy....

Correlation doesn’t always equal causation though. He also suffered a pretty bad injury about a year ago, so I don’t see why we need to make a connection between his footballing performance and his work off the field.

His off the field work is quite helpful as anyone who moans about it can instantly be outed as an absolute simpleton.

Took his goal well and happy he got on the score sheet but outside of that was a rough game for him and the entire team in reality. Saying that a bit more awareness and he gets two and helps set up another. Just happy for the 3 points.

Since everyone is off shitting on the poor performers in their threads, I'll give a shoutout to Rashy. Class goal, reminded me of the Rashford of early last season. The brightest out of the front 3 for sure, hopefully this is a confidence builder. Needs to stay onside though, could've had two more goals if he held his runs just a half second more.

Great goal.
Is it me or was his disallowed goal a lot closer than made out? He was ahead of the defenders but i thought he was reallly close to being behind the ball?
They showed 1 replay and that was it

He was definitely off. Took it well though and his goal was great. Good week for him all told. I wouldn’t hammer him too much for overall performance when the team is playing as badly as that.

Very, very pleased to see Rashford looking something like his old self. It was a lovely through ball from Bruno for his goal but from there it was all Rashford's work. Left the defenders with twisted blood. Brilliant. We're relying on the lad at the moment and its a relief to know we can.

Looked a lot better today, hopefully returning to form. Need him back at his best putting in the sort of performances he was before the back injury.

Looked back to his best today.

1 assist and goal disallowed and a beautiful solo goal to get us in the lead. Very happy with him today.

Really bad in the first half but was much better in the second. Was very composed for his goal as well which is promising because I feel he usually lacks composure.

Brilliant goal. First half nobody was at the races, he was as good as anyone in the 2nd though

As people love to storm into here slating him, it's only fair to say that was a superb goal today. Looked like he'd rucked it, and I was screaming to pass to Martial, but finished well.

He looked much better after he scored the goal. Running around. Trying to press. Need him to do it from the first min.
