Is it time to burst “Rashy’s” bubble?

If Rashford is playing at Dortmund, I am sure we would be very interested in him, even if he is valued at 100m+.

https://www.manutd.com/en/news/detail/ole-gunnar-solskjaer-on-the-art-of-goalscoring

This was from Ole when he took over, everything can be taught, yes even movement. That's to do with mentality and just this season you can see Rashford getting into many goalscoring positions. With age and experience they will learn how to create extra bit of space too.
Ole is building from the foundation and up. He seem to have done a lot of individual due diligence. Finding the person where they are currently at and if they are of the right stuff, develop forward to be more complete. He clearly pinpoints the issues with great precision and empathy and it's paying off big-time for the young players of the "correct mindset".

Yeah, there are few things to complain about Ole but his man management and few of the improvements in some young players is just superb.

Rashford, Martial, McTominay, Shaw all played their best season of their careers (People might disagree with Shaw but IMO he is very good player now). Then Greenwood in his first professional season is looking very good.

We have very good attack now.
It is probably easier to name players who have not improved under him. Almost everyone is showing improvements from previous levels.

Yeah individually almost every player has improved and playing at good level. Actually its good to see our attackers getting recognition for a change, it's been 7 years since our attackers are talked about in positive light.

I’m genuinely ashamed to be within the same fan base as many posters on this thread.

Knee-jerk, over the top and often narrative-driven criticism against our young players is probably my biggest pet-hate.

It's the same with Dan James although he's not as good as Rashford.

I'm not for one minute saying you're wrong but if James's current contribution to the team keeps up that will a difficult one to argue. Over 3 games Dan James has looked by far a bigger threat than Rashford during the Southampton game I would go as far to say Dan James was a far better player than Rashford.
How at any point could someone come to this conclusion? When did shit like this ever happen

I wondered if this would come up. I was only taking about the first 3 games. In my view Rashford had hit a wall. There was too much pressure on him and too much was expected. He shouldn’t have been played as our main goal threat at the time and I still stand by that, it was doing nobody any good.

I was worried about Rashy after injury, during the end of the last season, but since the start of this new season he has been almost the only bright light in our team. Amazing goal today. Hope his good form continues.

He deserves to tweet something like this. We can thank those stupid criticisms from the Idiot’s Playground as Liam Gallagher aptly labelled Twitter for inspiring him to pull that off. Now to carry on doing that, starting next week against the man who caused his back injury, Matt Doherty.

He was better today, good composure to finish the goal, otherwise he's still not 100%, he knows and others they have to improve, fitness fitness, games games, it should come we are behind in those. Rashford is still young but experienced enough now to know he needs to give more.

Great composure for the goal, but other than that he was pretty diabolical imo. Is he low on confidence or something? I've seen so many times lately when hes up 1on1 vs a defender he just freezes and stands there with the ball for an eternity, until Shaw or Martial gives him an easy pass and then he just shuffles it away

It's very rare to see him 1on1 with the defender these days, due to our impotent and slow midfield play. He usually goes against 2-3 defenders, and as he's not a natural dribbler (aka Martial) he is reluctant to take them on. We should work more on isolating defenders against our attackers and he'll be fine. Brighton gave a good example how to do it today.

2 in 2, so regardless of the rest of his play which isn't quite there yet for a multitude of reasons both individually and as a team, he's scoring.

That was the main problem with the end of the season as opposed to before his injury last season.

You can see he's moving better now, he mistimed a few runs but was getting in the positions again. Starting slowly to get back, the confidence of goals this week will help.

Indeed, he is coming back from his injury. We all want to see more of the Rashford we saw today. If criticisms have made him angry, and he uses the anger to improve his football, then I am glad and thankful he was criticized.

His finishing went out of the window after the restart, at least that part of his game is now coming back.

I think the team will actually get going after the next international break when we eventually catch up on match sharpness.

Maybe he wouldn’t need to wait an eternity if they made a run without having to be practically begged to make one.

Only world-class talents score goals like that. He has it all in his locker to be one of the best, hopefully it comes off. He needs to improve consistency and decision-making but there's Ballon d'Or potential there.

Yeah he's certainly closer to that than the 'He only plays because he's from Manchester' shite that has been said at points in his career so far.

Cold finishing, when he prepared that ball to travel inside the goal, absolutely nobody could touch him.

He's not Cristiano but sure as hell he can be good like him at times.

Have you read some of the stuff our so called fans tweet him?

We have the worst fans in the world. End of story.
I just wouldn’t bother with Twitter personally if I was a footballer but we are all different.

The fact that he’s gone and posted that means it’s been on his mind, which is a bit naff.
