On loan to West Brom from Sporting. Just watching him in the West Brom vs Swansea game and he looks outstanding. Too good for the championship. He's scored and made 2 assists. Only 23 years of age, I think he would be a good punt for us.

10 assists so far this season. His passing in this game has been really impressive as well as displaying good technique. I think he'd be a great option for us.

Definitely. Looks absolutely class. He could end up with 20+ assists for the season at this rate. I think we should look at doing a deal for him, could be a bargain.

Now is the time to pick him up, Maddison had a great season as well in the Championship and made the transition with ease. James is doing fine too, this lad looks really good. He was one of the better Nürnberg players last year as well when he was on loan, the team was really bad though and got relegated.

Looks a good prospect and that 2nd assist was beautifully weighted.

Overall, happy to see West Brom do well. Always had a soft spot for them when they came up a few years back and obviously being managed by United legend Robbo.
I'm also fond of Slavin Bilic.
So,I hope their form continues and they can continue leading the Championship table over Leeds, naturally.

These are the kind of signing we should make more of. Under the radar, lesser fancied players before they're picked up by 'intermediate' level clubs and sold for big bucks.

He is a fantastic talent and should be at Sporting. Sadly we are run by a guy who should be classified as a terrorist for what he is doing to Sporting. Loaned out a player like Matheus who didn't even get a game in pre season to go and sign Jese and fecking Bolasie:lol::houllier:. He claims we have no money and we had to make loans yet we loaned out a bunch of players from the academy which were ready for the first team.

As for Matheus he has great skill and ball control , a great passing and crossing ability and choose to use placement over power with his shots. What he lacks in pace he makes up in creativity and skill.

Think West Brom have a buy option negotiated in the loan contract, so especially if they get promoted they might have an advantage over other teams looking to sign him. No youth caps for either Brazil or Portugal, will be interesting to see what happens regarding his international status.

Would like to see United get him although seems WBA have the option to buy at something like £9m.

20 games, 10 assists and 5 goals I think. Looks a real star and would be a cut price steal.

He's looked excellent every time I've seen him. Usually the best player on the pitch.

He's technically excellent. He's very much the type of signing Leicester make. Huge potential but good enough to make an impact right now.

Is there anything stopping us from trying to get this guy in January? It's low risk high reward if we get him. If we're waiting for summer for Maddison then this guy can do a job until we get him. If he turns out to be very good to ignore then at least we won't have to spend 80m plus on Maddison.

Makes perfect sense mate, unfortunately too much sense for Ed to sort it.

Under a tree.
Scored two more today, very interesting prospect being a left footed right winger.
Not watched alot of him but has always been a massive threat when I have seen him play

He seems to have found the Championship easy without quite looking top top level to me.

We didn't even let him seriously get a run in the first team.

Absolute joke by Varandas. Got rid of him to go get Bolasie and Jese.

Wonderful talent. Him and Podence had outstanding potential and of course Sporting didn’t know how to use it. Even if Podence used the so called Academy invasion to put more money on Mendes pockets, but loaning Matheus with a option to buy of 10 million euros and Demiral with a option of 3 million is almost criminal. Sporting and Schalke should receive every year a double award of the most inept and incompetent football club management in Europe.

Totally correct but they are absolutely in the dumps financially not that is any excuse.

For a club that is so broke we seem to have no problem in paying 5-7.5M for ONLY 50% of the players rights from clubs in the bottom half of the Portuguese league.

Imagine how much for 100%?

The problem is we have a terrorist running the club who is intentionally with the help of others doing everything they can to kill the club once and for all.

Had the most assists in the championship last season I believe. I had him in my FF team so i've kept an eye on him but took him out pre big-sam.

Tbf he's a really good footballer.
Yeah he’s by far the best part of that West Brom team.

I just think we should be looking at someone like Sancho for the RW. A genuine difference maker to instantly improve the starting XI. And if we’re going to go for a cheaper compromise within the league players like Neto or Raphinha make more sense.

I'd consider them alternatives rather than a comprimise. They are fantastic players and for all we know could do as well for us as Sancho would

No. We’re Manchester United, not Newcastle United. He’s a decent player. That’s it.
This statement is really ignorant. Plenty of good/great players have been signed by top clubs after relegation:

Roy Keane, Andy Robertson, Georginio Wijnaldum, Joe Cole, Harry Maguire, James Milner have all been signed by big clubs after being relegated.

Well I meant compromise from a financial perspective. If we ended up with either of those two instead of Sancho I’d be very happy - think they’re both brilliant.

But I still consider Sancho to have a higher top level. Just think he makes sense for us in so many different ways.

I think a player like him would be a very good squad option for a top team. Same with Buendia, who I really like.
However I don't think our budget will allow for anything other than one definite starting attacker.

I think people tend to overlook this sort of player. Bit like Eze who Palace took a punt on but is developing nicely.

That said I understand people wanting to aim higher but if the market is tough this year I don't think he'd be a bad option on the right.
