We beat Brighton twice last season, winning our home match 4-0. With our summer reinforcements, Casey Stoney will be expecting us to win again.

Team selection could be interesting. After not playing for two weeks, we play Liverpool in the WSL Cup on Wednesday 7th and then back to the league for Spurs away on Saturday 10th.

So who might start this one? Alessia Russo has been in full training for a few weeks now and should be raring to go. We should see Press and Heath, at least for part of the game. Lucy Staniforth should be available, so I think she'll debut as well.

I've not heard if Katie Zelem (who tested positive for covid in mid- September) is back in training. But I don't see her starting on Sunday. I'm hoping Ivana Fuso will appear sometime this week as well.

Yeah she's an AM mostly. She's scored some class goals before. She was best when playing for Sunderland (back before they were removed from the league). She's played with Ladd before and is in the England squad (but is usually ignored for the bigger teams players, City's in particular). She's different from the other older mids (Toone I'm never sure what her best position is). So she's an AM, Shackie's a B2B, Zelem's a DLP and Ladd's a DM mostly. So that range should help in future games.

Kind of feel like she’ll wait on Press and Heath and just bring them in slowly. Galton and Hanson I would imagine will be hard to move. Is Zelem still in quarantine?

There's a interview (Think Telegraph, maybe Times) where Casey talks about the Corona impact on Zelem and Sigsworth. They're out of Quarantine now but Sigs has been set back in her rehab and Zelem's back training individually. Sounded like it'll be a couple of weeks as they're monitoring her heart rate.

Thanks for pointing that out, I've found this article in the Telegraph
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...very-coronavirus-taught-valuable-lesson-says/

“It’s very much about keeping her heart rate at a certain level, because it is a virus that’s associated with cardiology,” explained Stoney, who likened Zelem’s staged recovery to following concussion protocols.

“To be honest, I didn’t really have a clue that that was the process, but I’m very much heavily led by the doctors and the medical team and we will always follow their guidance. People think you get a positive test, you quarantine for two weeks and you’re back out. It’s not like that, it probably puts a player out of action for a month really.

Interesting.

Unfortunately not all the matches are available in all countries - sometimes there are TV rights deals that take precedence, and some matches are being aired in the States (on NBCSports)

This match isn't being broadcast so I think it will work on FA Player for you. Let us know if it does!

I'm really looking forward to this game. It should be interesting how the new players get on. Hopefully Christen Press and Tobin Heath get a good amount of game time.

If not then a VPN would do the trick

No worries

Russo in for Ross, Ladd for Zelem and Amy Turner replaces Batlle, who's not even on the bench (injured I assume?). Heath, Press and Staniforth all on the bench. No James on the bench either.

Is anybody else FA Player having a mare today?
I haven't used it before, and I'm probably being stupid, but I can't figure out how to even start the feed. I can access videos, but when I click on 'live' I just see a list of fixtures that I can't click on.

I then maybe thought I need to use my phone with the app, but it's the same thing there; I get information about when the match is supposed to start (15 minutes ago, thank you) and the option of getting notified on match kick-off. That's it.

Have you signed in to the FA player?

Do you see the United v Brighton banner on the front page of the app? If you do then click on the arrow next to it, scroll down on the next screen to get Watch Live.

1-0 up and pushing them backwards most of the time.
Thanks! Good to hear!

Wonder why we haven`t filled our bench? There are surely a couple of younger players that would love the experience of sitting talking with WC champions at least

Try closing the app and go back in, my guess is that it's having a timezone problem but I don't know why.
If you scroll down there should be a watch live button.
I have tried restarting, even reinstalling, no luck. It's also fully scrolled down. I'm 1 hour ahead of UK time, but certain times of the year it's 2 hours so maybe the app for some weird reason thinks it's 11.35 right now. Edit: I guess it's also possible that it's just not available in Norway, but it's not televised anywhere else here so I don't see why that would be.

It's ok, though, I'm clogging the match thread. I'll watch the replay, I can access the videos posted no problem. Thanks for trying to help!

We're creating a lot of chances from wide areas. Toone missed a great chance to make it 2-0.

Oh so that's how you pronounce Batlle.
