More Jonathan Walters than Lewandowski. Not being too much of a dick either, he actually reminds me of Walters a lot in terms of style of play and ability.

Edit: That's so far, he's still young and can become better than Walters. Both have/had good workrate and are willing to run themselves silly, both good at competing in the air, both have played wide or up top, similar goal outputs as of now, both probably best as partners for a main goalscorer. Calvert-Lewin is a bit taller, both quite fast at running. Calvert-Lewin a bit silkier at times.

Playing well recently and on course for his best goal scoring season. He's a funny one, sometimes he looks clumsy and wasteful and other times he's a good finisher who holds the ball up well for others.

He's certainly not clinical but he seems to have a good skillset for bringing others into the game and playing more of a 'Firmino type' role.

Having a quietly good season. 10 goals so far in what has been a poor Everton side.

He’s a fantastic target man. Awkward, lanky and makes it difficult for defenders at every opportunity. All he needed to improve on was goals and since Big Dunc came in and now Carlo he’s been brilliant. I really like him and rate him, hope he continues this form.

He looks the complete striker right now. Strong, powerful, excellent finishing. This could be his Harry Kane 14/15 breakout season.

He’s probably the only young no.9 out there I can think of who is really good in the air. Even when they have the height on their side, most seem to be allergic to it, whilst Calvert-Lewin seems natural with that side of the game.

He seems a proper number 9 . I wish he was our number 9

His hold up play is quite good, the way he come infront of the defenders and shields the ball, this could be his breakout season. Getting good at finishing too.

To be fair 13 league goals last season wasn’t bad by any means

In truth his only weakness has been finishing. Clearly Carlo is improving it in him.
His movement, heading , hold up play and on ball skills have always been impressive.

If our dead transfer team got rid of the surplus players quickly enough then we could have the space for him in our budget .

Sounds like a really good player of the style we are asking for, target man

There were a lot of Everton fans who wanted to get rid of him from the first XI this summer and bring in a new striker because they don’t really rate him. He went through a really bad run of form post-lockdown but our whole team was shit. He’s looking great this season and you can see the improvements/impact that Carlo has had in terms of his finishing and the improvements Big Dunc has made in his target man abilities.

True, this season he is sorrounded by much better players though, I fully expect him to score more than last year. Maybe around 20 league goals..

Top class thread renaming

After his hattrick the other day he talked about how Carlo has got him working on his positioning and close in the box. It's paying dividends at the moment.

It's amazing how one manager and two or three signings can completely transform some players/a squad.

He has made huge improvements over the past 18 months or so and just needed to improve his positional play to get himself into better goalscoring positions. He's done that now and his finishing has also clearly improved. Now he looks a really promising number 9 and I hope he keeps it up as he comes across as a decent bloke in interviews.

Shame about the dressing gown/Harry Hill collar.

This is the type of great analysis you can get at the caf.

Tremendous.

He's one of those that can score as many as he wants but I'll still stick to my guns and say he's shite.

I’d love it if United signed him... you could see how much he was improving last season and he’s going to get even better.

He’ll be challenging Kane to be England’s #9 before long.
