You need to disappear back down the hole you crawled out of, sunshine. Understand this, we've all had the absolute pleasure of watching many great players win every trophy there is for us. Better players then Sancho. So, when you can say the same, then come back and try again. Because, supporting Schalke, every day is SanchOFF day. You're shite and you've never even had a whiff of signing a top class player. Little gobshite.

That goes for the Dortmund plebs too. It's absolutely ridiculous to think fans of second rate clubs think they can come and try to troll on here right now.
Terrific rant

The Bundesliga Brigade defending the honor of Dortmund on here at ever chance has been one of the strangest and funniest aspects of this saga. Could never imagine fans of Spanish and English clubs consistently going to bat for their rivals like that on opposing team forums, they've got too much self respect for that

So to the few here who are still confident of signing him,do you think we will see movement tonight or will it be all on deadline day like Berba & Falcao.

No one knows what BVB board is thinking because we aren't them and don't have inside info so just assuming they are selling club and their strategy is to buy and sell players is just a claim and an assumption, to go on and blame them on asking that much for a player because you assume they buy to sell later is pretty weird overall.

Needless to say they did the same with the Dembele transfer to Barca and the player only left because he forced a move and even then, it costed Barca 100+40m. I don't see as an intention of a selling club if you ask me. More like they want to keep their players now more than before but again, no one knows what they think of about the team so blaming them for asking this much for a player they have is ridiculous.

The release clause of Haland deal was also something that was going to be put in his contract if he had signed for United and it was the reason we refused to sign him so he Raiola didn't do that specifically for BVB.

By that same logic that "we aren't the Dortmund board so we can't know their true strategy", you go on the bombastically claim to know exactly why we didn't get the Haaland deal over the line.

According to the Haaland camp they turned us down because they felt the club didn't want him as much as Ole did. That the overall developmental package was riskier than going to Dortmund. Now I'm sure they did suggest a release clause as an option for a get out of jail free card if they didn't feel his development was going well enough on the bench of United, but we can't know for sure that they wouldn't be willing to leave out a release clause if the overall rest of the package was convincing enough.

His camp said the deal didn't strand because of the prospect of a release clause alone. That they turned us down. Then our club briefed that we couldn't agree to their terms, alluding to leaked info about a release clause being the issue instead of stating the embarrassing fact that maybe the player turned us down, at this stage of his career.
The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

So you are right, we can't know for sure, especially in the individual cases. But we can look at behaviour over time to see certain patterns. Over time Dortmund has behaved like a feeder club. That can of course change, that they built up resources and amassed enough quality players that they now want to hold on to them longer to challenge for titles, to see if they can take that next step as a club.

Or maybe they will keep buying low and selling high. Only time will tell, cause neither club would ever tell us the straight truth.

Guy is still silent on his twitter and instagram. Usually he would be bigging the team up before a game, or praising them after. He is not a happy camper that is for sure. Depends how much he wants to rock the boat. Will also be interesting to see if rat face is at the game today

Getting the feeling of this doesn’t go through, Sancho and his agent will be unhappy with United and not want to enter negotiations next summer with us.

It basically agreed that we need to hear something huge today? Like a fee agreed. Can’t see everything happening tomorrow. Can’t see it when there’s a match on, but let’s see.

Why would that happen? Our money and brand is still good next summer. I've even seen claims that Jadon has already said he's willing to join us next summer if it doesn't happen now.

I think that we might hear something today, but I also won't stop believing yet if we don't hear anything. A lot can happen tomorrow when he is already traveling to meet up with the England team. Breakthroughs in negotiations can happen at any time.

Just feels like United and Ed have fecked around too much.

For Sancho there’s the life element. He’ll want to know what’s going on. He’s apparently agreed personal terms already. And United just don’t seem serious about stumping up the money they’ve known for a good 3 months they've had to pay

We're going to get him in.

It's a game of poker and we'll win the final hand.

Sancho is kicking up a fuss behind closed doors. The man is desperate to leave the club.

I think it will be silent today due to the game, and then one way or another it'll be carnage tomorrow.

I actually don't think Woodward can save himself from a backlash no matter what he does. If he signs Telles and Sancho tomorrow he'll get destroyed for dragging it out so long anyways.

someone is going to need a bigger boat!

banter from other clubs can be annoying at times, granted. But there are better ways of articulating that frustration than this.

Over the many years by virtue of what they have done, not too farfetched to call BVB a 'high end' currently 'non desperate' selling club with really good pull on big talents still not prime for a biggest type move.
No real industry secret that hey poach some of the potentially best, offer playtime and fostering, play for 2-3 years and exploit the current inflated market. They are fine with mediocre results for a profit and fine with never truly winning much settling for 2nd. Some of what they buy also fail and move cheap or break even under the radar. They still sell at the end of the day vs retain, win and retire.
Raiola pretty much regards us as a stepping stone and a cashchest, fallen from glory and not a much better option than BVB for his clients as evident by his public demeanor vs us, he is pragmatic, shrewd, deconstructive, unsentimental and with total disregard for any history or heritage hopping in bed with him is always risky.
BVB know their accurate position in the hierarchy of things and disregard things like that and that kinda makes it a smart selling club even though admitting their weaknesses openly to the world serves no real purpose, so why should they admit the obvious and inflame what isn't broken. Any buyer will still always go: 'X in Dortmund almost perfect for us!! X can fill our gap!! X got failed by the team! But maybe with us X will become Ballon D'or! Worthy!! And so on'. They lease their players as a talent and sell them on >>still unproven<< on the biggest stage. It's been a part of their psychological schtick for a very long time.
Who truly knows their longer term plans but themselves?
Perhaps with enough of these blockbuster resales BVB can break their chains and evolve into an endgame club, but latest financial reports for them says no or delay on that. A pig with a lipstick is still a pig while we wait.

I don't think they believe that. No player and agency would ever feel that it's unreasonable that a club wouldn't (easily) pay €120m for them, especially during a pandemic. Camp Sancho knows a lot more about what's going on, and if they truly felt that we have done something wrong up to this point I'm sure Sancho would make a public statement that he's staying for another season.

They have known for a while what price Dortmund have said they wanted yes, but with deals of this size, in this climate especially, it would be unwise to just pay up what they said they wanted.
It was always going to be going down to the finish-line for this. We'll see where it all ends up on Tuesday morning.

If that happens, some will still be mad yes, but the vast majority will be gushing in muppet juices celebrating in the streets. Until Sancho has his first subpar performance on the field and he's washed up and we wasted all that money.

If we can’t get it done this year we won’t get it done next. Dortmund will lose Haaland due to his contract clause next summer they won’t be open to losing Sancho at the same time unless it’s a huge fee. The 120m quoted this season could be 150m next year they won’t need the money.

We’ve had a free run at Sancho, it’s now or never. There’s a chance we won’t even be in the CL next season.

The strangest thing is there should be a historical rivalry betwen Schalke and Dortmund, no? They're both Ruhr region clubs. And I know Schalke fans are some of the most hc fans (army of fans for a club with no results). I can't believe a true schalke fan can talk about Dortmund in superlatives

At the time of Haaland's transfer everyone said his clause would be active from summer of '22, but now everyone, some pundits included, allude to the fact that he may go next summer. Is that because the clause will be active, or cause they can sell then for a higher price than a year later? Not sure, we'll see.

Either way I don't see Haaland impacting Sancho's movements since Sancho has been there much longer and already have desire to move on. They can't hold him hostage over Haaland if they decide to sell him after only 1.5 years.

The real killer was that extra year Sancho added to his deal.
That took any power at all out of our hands.

Did it make it easier for us? No. Did it it take all power away from us? No. It was as much about Dortmund wanting the player to feel happy and compensated enough.

He got improved salary for an added year on the contract while still expecting to be sold if a good offer comes through. Nobody knew that a pandemic would complicate things.

When are you going to bed tomorrow? Maybe it'a a late announcement where we get an extension from the league to file paperwork hours after the deadline?

But was their intent to sell? I read that of course they listen to an offer that matches their valuation (and what player doesn't have a price?) I've always got the impression that they'd be very happy to retain Sancho.
Well that's the question really isn't it. If they did intend to keep him they've played this quite well (though it helped that Sancho hasn't thrown a strop). But we don't know what Dortmund's financial situation is, and they may be that they need the money and are hoping we cave at the last minute. In which case their strategy has been terrible.

Either way, it's pretty clear the current market doesn't value Sancho at the price they're asking.

Today is a big day. Just as I have risen from the dead, so too will the Sancho deal. I have seen things none have seen. I have tasted things none have tasted in worlds beyond this one. I have spoken. Sancho is alive!!
