I couldn’t finish watching the game but Shaw has always been a fat, lazy cnut.

The tackle wasn't that bad. He got burned by one of the quickest players in the league.

What a fecking disaster he is, absolute shitshow today. Don't know who i hate more between him, Maguire, Lindelöf and Bailly. I am fuming

He's always been mediocre at best and usually bad, barely Premier League standard. He should have been sent off, this time his obligatory foul late in the game when he's too gassed to get back was way off the ball and reckless, but generally he was just shite.

Nothing new about his performance. Such an overhyped player because there are no other LBs at United

Yet another complacent performance from Shaw. He simply doesn't take the job seriously.

He's so fecking garbage. Years of being medicore but having a monopoly as our left back. Thank feck hes shortly going on the bench with Telles coming. Long time coming.

Ask yourself if Real, Barca and Bayern would have ever tolerated having Shaw at LB for years.

Fair play for him for coming out for the interview, but yeah. Being the least bad defender of our terrible back 4 is hardly an achievement.

He looks like hes about to cry. Clearly this hurts the players deeply.

I thought he was the worst. I don't know where he was playing today but it was not left back.

Mourinho really exploited him properly.

Over Maguire? Not on your life. Maguire put in the single worse performance you're likely to see.

I was also speaking in a general sense, compared to everyone else at the back this season he's been the least shittest... But its like weighing up different piles of shite

It's a toss up between the Maguire and Shaw for the Raspberry Award for sure, but at least Maguire stayed the majority of the match somewhere around the centre of defence!!

Jose has never rated Shaw and has always spoken of how he leaves space between himself and the CB. It's no coincidence that a few of our goals conceded came from his side.

Way to show your old manager that he was completely wrong about you Luke!

Was there a reason he was so far inside for that Son goal? I can't find a replay that goes back far enough to show why he was in that position, and I don't want to blame him too much for it until I figure out if there was a reason. Anybody got a replay that goes back a decent amount?

Where does he fit in now we've got a new LB coming in, his positioning is dreadful.

I'm done with him.

It was like that for about 60 minutes, Aurier basically had half a pitch to himself at times, Luke was in line with the penalty spot on occasions.

We have a standard of player at our club where they're nowhere near good enough, or talented enough, or skilful enough, or hardworking enough, or consistent enough to make it at another top club, yet somehow they're more than good enough for us.

Luke Shaw is in that category of player.

His positional play was horrendous. Left so much space on his side and does this annoying and infuriating thing where he keeps going too narrow/infield.

Every single one of our back four is replaceable and their positions are up for grabs.

Thought he had been seriously manhandled for the first goal today and then I seen the replay with him falling to the ground with very little pressure applied. What the feck was he at

Edit: just seen the replay again. Maguire, what on earth.

So often in the middle when he should have been out wide defending a spurs attack Down his wing... hope the new left back is fit and ready.

Yep, he was literally fouled by his own teammate. Maguire grabbed him and spun him around just as he was trying to clear the ball.

Lamela was also pulling his shirt off him tbf.

Anyway he's shit, offers nothing going forwards and is average defensively but has managed to eek out god knows how many years here by virtue of being slightly less shit than some of the other shit. Thank God we've finally signed another left back, although I'm sure he'll turn out shit too.

Seriously though, he may as well play centre back. He's clearly not interested in playing left back and can't do any worse than the clowns we currently have in there.

Most of the time I would argue that Shaw while nothing special is one of our more solid defenders.
Today he was absolutely abysmal. Played like he just had a few pints with the lads before the game.

I thought he looked aggressive going forward before things went to shit after we conceded the 3rd goal.

Remember how last week Wan Bissaka was doing the same thing? I 100% believe at this is do with coaching.

Looking over my shoulder.
What is he good at? What are his above average attributes?
He isn’t a great one on one defender like awb. He isnt good positionally. He isn’t fast - slow as feck on the first five yards, and today he demonstrated that his top speed is a myth or that he couldn’t be bothred. He isn’t a good crosser, and he is not a good header of the ball. What is he good at? Terribly average. Southampton level!
