No, it doesn’t have gps so you won’t be able to track the last location.
Wondered if it might be able to do it through WiFi to be honest, if somewhere it can connect to a previously connected WiFi device. Which sounds like a real long shot but if it's just at my parents house in a cupboard then that'd be really handy.

Does your router page show the last time a device was connected?

Good idea. Likely it's one of my parents or ex's though.

Olly can probably tell me where it is, what game I was playing, the last conversation I had before losing it pretty quickly.

You're at the very bottom of my friend list which means your Switch hasn't been online for a very long time. I would imagine if someone had stole it they would have logged on at least once when they first stole it?

And the last game you played was BOTW.

That was the last game I played!! And agreed I was thinking that too. So maybe there's hope.

Cheers mat, genuinely useful. It was just a joke about your investigative skills but this is better

Now to figure where.

Xenoblade Chronicles: DE was absolutely amazing. One of the best games I've ever played. Would definitely recommend it to any RPG fans.

@Alock1 you might not be able to turn in on when/if you find it. I feel like I read Nintendo warning against keeping it off for too long.
Also who loses a console?

I think I got 4 or 5 hours in and was really struggling to keep going. I take it it gets a lot better?

Six months. Nintendo said we have to charge at least every six months or the battery could not work.

I left my Switch off for months once. It had to be left in the the Dock for about 2 days before it eventually started to charge so I'd recommend always keeping it well charged.

Yeah definitely. It starts off quite slow, but when it gets going it really gets going. It’s worth getting through the slow bits. As soon as you reach the first large area that you can explore, when you see how beautiful it is, and you hear the music from that area, I was hooked.

Okay I found it after 3 hours. @Maagge @Olly Gunnar Solskjær @Bojan11 cheers

As you know, you can only find something lost by acknowledging it and telling somebody.

Glad I can keep going to Mr Tyre for my car now I know they didn't steal it. Its round the corner and incredibly convenient.

Nice one! Will it start/charge or is the battery dead?

Just started The Witcher. I couldn't decide between that, Paper Mario, Luigi's Mansion and Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition so I picked the one I've had the longest. I've got a lot to get through, thank God for social distancing.

Been trying to get into Breath of the Wild. Very early doors but it's so bizarre how it just gives you absolutely no direction. I have no clue what I am supposed to be doing. Where I should go, what I should do. I know that's why people love it (I thought I would) but without loads of time to spare I don't want to waste time figuring it out. I could youtube some videos or look up a wiki/game guide but that's not me - plus, it'd feel cheating when the game was purposely built this way.

Picked up Links Awakening today, looking forward to that.

Are you talking once you leave the plateau? You simply follow the road, you'll pick the story up.

Other than that it's a very heavy imagination based game. Even to this day people are discovering new things to do in it. Give it time, it's a lot to digest, but soon enough it clicks and you stop being overawed and lost.

Well the main goal is to defeat Ganon and it is told before you leave the plateau. Then you are also told to go first to Kakariko Village (if you use the minimap, set it so that it doesn't move, it's really less confusing). Once there you will be given the other important (but optional) goals.

Otherwise as seen with the plateau, it is to do the shrines and activate the towers. And every thing between is up to you. Mostly exploration, discovery and experimentation.

This said, I am now fed up with this game, I have completed 67 shrines and found 201 seeds (180+ hours, I wasted too much time foraging). Next time I play it, I will focus on finishing the game. Then go back to Fire Emblem or try Genshin Impact.

Zelda is amazing. It made my head spin for a couple days but once you get in to it it's very rewarding. Will Hyrule Warriors have an open world too?

I don't think so, the first one and Fire Emblem Warriors are a campaign of battles, though we may pick between 2 (like following by example a team). It is only a fighting game, well a hack and slash one. But it will have a (better?) story, the past of BotW instead of the weird story (or lack of story) created to accommodate lot of characters from different games.

I like the openness of BOTW...you're not compelled to follow the story. I'm mainly faffing about locating shrines. Once I've done enough I'll do some side quests and then complete the story. I think the more creative you are the more rewarding it is. I wish I were a tad better than a casual gamer.

Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is currently discounted by 84 % on the eshop. I'm thinking of picking that up even though I've got so much other stuff to play.

I loved it. As long as you do the side missions and stuff there isn't much grinding involved which is good. Plus it looks the business, especially if you're into Studio Ghibli stuff.

Am I the only one who suck at Hades? I managed to beat the 2 first bosses and stuck at the third boss. I think I am on run 33 or something. I've never been good at these fast paced action games. I use the bow mainly. Any tips?

Use the fists and make sure you start with the keepsake that guarantees an Athena boon. Getting deflect on either attack or dodge means you'll tear through rooms taking next to no damage.

Using that setup I always get to Hades but don't always get through his second phase.

Does anybody else feel like this thing is losing momentum?
I'm not sure it has any momentum right now. It's all about Sony and MS. Nintendo need Metroid Prime 4, BOTW 2 or a new main Super Mario title.

It did have Animal Crossing though, I'm sure that made their entire year and then some.

Thanks mate, I've never been good at understanding the combat system in games like these and many RPG's(although this is not really an RPG). I've stuck with the bow so far because of range. Isn't there some red stuff you can get to upgrade weapons in the weapon room and how do I get it?

Think it's called Titan's Blood. You’ll get some for beating Hades for the first time. From that point you can add bounties on your runs which can offer it as a reward for beating the earlier bosses. You can also buy it from the vendor before you start a run. Each weapon has 4 different upgrade options that all require loads of it.

I used Bow at first but soon realised that attacking so slowly meant I took too much damage.

I love this game, currently it's my GOTY.

Not sure what you mean by losing momentum? Switches are still incredibly sought after and imagine they'll still sell plenty when the next gen consoles come out.

It's been a quiet year for first party games admittedly but I expect there will be more releases next year.

The Switch is it's own thing. Nintendo aren't trying to directly compete with Sony and Microsoft. They've carved out their own niche and I will still use my Switch just as much when the PS5 releases.

Nope. It’s been top selling console in America for 22 months. Sales have increased 60% from last year. So not sure what @Ainu is going on about it doesn’t have any momentum. This is not talking about Japan where it has surpassed Wii and PS4.

Haven't they been virtually out of stock in most places for most of 2020? They've already sold 60+ million units, will probably break 100 million quite comfortably. I'd expect a Pro version sometime next Spring. That'd grab the attention of a solid percentage of original Switch owners (including me) and would probably extend lifespan by extra 2 years. This console has been a massive hit for Nintendo, and rightly so because it's damn perfect.

I'd hate for a pro version to come out. It's so in your face for people who bought the original.

Original came out in 2015 and will likely still support all new games. Pro being released will probably extend console's lifespan by 2 years so it's actually good news for original Switch owners.
