Thought his clenched fist was a bit limp. Seems to be in the Lindelof mould.

Just goes to prove what a shitshow this transfer window turned out to be when we sign Harry Styles on deadline day.

I mean his voice broke as he said it, so it just emphasised how young he is.

Poor kid's not going to know what hit him with the toxicity levels as high as they are right now.

Yeah, it's gonna be ugly to watch. His only chance is to hit the ground running. Score 2 goals against Newcastle and he'll be fine for at least 3 next games.

Wonder will he be on the bench Saturday
My guess would be no.

He was signed on deadline day just like Cavani who would miss this game due to the quarantine process.

 To be fair Anderson actually was good at moving the ball past players in the midfield when he was fit. He really could have been some player.
I only remember he was good at using his fat ass to shield the ball

He was attached to a club, within a testing bubble so I'm pretty sure he's eligible to play.

I recalled reading Tweet he left the bubble of his old club days before to force the move.

Really curious to see how this lad develops. At the price we've paid he'll be a bargain if he can become a regular here.

He's got a really nice low centre of gravity and balance and he seems to take care of the ball really well. Stylistically he's kind of a baby Iniesta in some ways (without the passing range). It will likely take him a few months to settle in and there isn't really any easy games coming up to ease him in. So we'll probably need to be patient with him.

Hopefully our toxic fanbase can put their agendas away and give him a fair chance to settle in.

Haven't heard anything about him not being available. With the tough games coming up we probably shouldn't really expect to see him for a few weeks anyway though.

He's already in training, so should be available . Whether he gets picked is obviously another matter.

I'd doubt he's going to feature anytime soon and even if he does, I'd see no reason why fans should turn on him.

He'll be on the bench to begin with anyway, probably a couple of 10 minute cameos until he gets used to the pace of the league.

I’d rather see him thrown straight in so at least we can see what he’s about before we’ve had the chance to coach any adventure out of him.

And his through ball is like a shot. Need Usain Bolt to reach it.

That chubby face though, it's the only reason Fergie kept him for so long.

Going by Ole's comments he seems to be downplaying the hype. I dont expect Facundo to feature much in the first team squad for a few weeks atleast.

Judging by the YouTube clips and to be honest that's all we have with regards to him, I'd say he surely is one for the future. His close control and his spacial awareness (as he likes to come inside so very frequently) need a lot of grooming.
I would not want him to be in premier league or champions league matches at least for this season.
And I guess, Ole recognises that as well. Thats why he wanted Dembele for one year, meanwhile he could grow these two wingers

10 mins off the bench? Suppose it depends whether you'd rather have Ighalo on the bench who could play a bit longer probably.
Yeah a 70% Cavani off the bench was better than a 100% Ighalo but ah well he will feature eventually

Good thing you are not the coach.

If you don't play him where will he get his experience?

Manchester United is a club that prides itself on giving young players a chance.

Football is not complicated like being a brain surgeon. Don't score against your goalkeeper, stop the other team from scoring, score against the opponent to win and if you are being marked out pass the ball to your team mate.

Give the lad a chance.

Not to mention that we are talking about a senior pro, not some academy player. It would be like a club signing Greenwood or Williams from us now and saying they need to play reserve football for a year before being given first team opportunity.

Hope he gets a little cameo tomorrow but think it's very unlikely
I’d say it’s pretty likely. Our attack looks a little thin without Greenwood and Cavani.

The cynic in me thinks we've started taking punts on these kids who aren't quite good enough only to sell them on in a couple of seasons for much more than we paid. Hopefully he is good enough however, would be a nice change.

I agree that he's still very raw but I wouldn't rule out giving him game-time. The only way to help him progress is to give him opportunities and show him the level he needs to play.

What if Rashford wasn't on the bench for FC Midtjylland? Why not keep him on the bench in case our current options are struggling to create or where we're winning comfortably.
The best thing about young players is that they surprise you.

‘The 2020 Manchester United fan (with internet connection)‘ in you.

Your theory isn’t surprising in the current climate. It’s like a daily competition on who can invent the most negative theories and possibilities with United.

Cavani hasn't kicked a ball for over 6 months and has had injury issues, he's only had one training session with the team, it makes sense that Ole isn't rushing him. I'm guessing Pellistri has been training since he arrived and should make the bench tomorrow given Lingard and Greenwood are both out.
