I'm not sure he does have to due to some nonsense about being in a football bubble (Cavani wasn't in one). I read an interview someone did at Peñarol saying United wanted him to guarantee them that Pellestri was in their bubble.
You should've got a better translation. That's what you get for reading free articles off the web: click bait, bad translations (done by a google AI translator), and finally, bemusement: bubble indeed!

Uruguayan players might not be the tallest or strongest around but they do play with pride and passion. One of the very few players I can think off who could go toe to toe with prime Keane was Paolo Montero. So I wouldn't be too worried about his lack of physicality too much.
Yep, we all saw Suarez’ passion on many occasions

Strange because we finished above two of those teams last season and got to three cup semi-finals. I’m excited to see what we can achieve once we’re not in “turmoil”.

I don’t dispute things aren’t perfect but “turmoil”? Come on, it’s ridiculous. We lose a couple of games in a farcical start to a season after the players basically coming straight off their holidays to play football matches against teams who have been preparing since August and we’re in “turmoil”?

Two months ago people were queuing up to tip us to win the title! Why does it always have to be boom or bust? Why can’t the narrative just be “United are a pretty good if inconsistent football team? We know why don’t we...that wouldn’t sell papers or attract clicks!

And as for the club having no strategy in the transfer market, Pellistri and the 10+ other u20s we have signed for significant cash in the last 18 months would say otherwise to me.
Most of the fans/pundits are angry that we didn't spent silly money on overrated British talent as we did last season. Meanwhile the media would do anything to remain revelant

This transfer window is far from perfect. However with proper coaching we might have a decent side in our hands. I doubt we have the personnel to do so though

There seems to be a bit of loco in their game. A thin line between brilliance and madness. Fans tend to love it, opponents tend to hate it. I can't remember of any Uruguayan players who allowed themselves to be bullied

a proper FM signing :)
Will be great for him if he gets 15 first team appearances (this season) or so.

I'm not sure it's possible to get a better translation than reading something written in your first language.

Yes bubble is indeed a funny word. Fun to say and especially more fun to read. However, it’s not just those fun little things that float and pop and from which West Ham have taken their cultural identity. It’s also a term for a group of people who are ensuring that they do not come into contact with people outside their ‘bubble’ in order to keep their chances of contracting Covid far lower. But yes, criticise someone for using a word that is even present in government regulations regarding Covid, you sure showed them.

Yeah but last season is done. We were in turmoil 3 months after Moyes came in too, and we had won the league the previous year. If we are in a state as we are now, I’d consider it turmoil.

About the transfer thing, yes it’s a strategy, but who can’t buy loads of youngsters. Bayern and Dortmund do it, Liverpool do it, Barca do it, even City do it. Only difference is we spend far more on them than those clubs. Will it be beneficial? Time will tell.

Is he training already with the club? Could not see any photos and usually there would be some.

He looks like the star of a teen coming-of-age movie, where the nerdy, socially awkward, introverted guy ends up getting off with the hottest girl in the year at the end.

Reminds me of the Mexican kid from Ted Lazzo. "Football is Life"

Really liked his personality and outlook: very humble, positively keen to learn and improve.
His English is amazing (as a teenage Latino) and will quickly get alot better.
Will make his settling in so much easier and faster.

Pogba plays the jock.
Cavani is the dad
Ole as the gym teacher
Maguire is the guy throwing the house party that gets out of hand whilst his parents are away, gets sloshed and ends up getting arrested for disturbing the whole neighbourhood and destroying the house whilst people are having sex in his parents' bedroom.

I'm getting similar vibes, but some kind of teen super hero film. Teen Hulk or something. No pressure then!

Shocking audio on that vid, mind. Can't see it on the official MU site, so it's not ripped from there. Less than amateur quality on that, very poor.

He did go AWOL from training through the transfer saga so no bubble there. It's been a couple of weeks though and he comes from a city of 1.5M with 150 active cases, all fully traced. Meh.

Recoba was a lightweight, zero blood and thunder.

He would just score off the free kick to get back at you.

Fair enough. My guess is the Uruguayan chap asked for guarantees on Pellistri being in a bubble said yes as in "over the moon"

True but there was a certain craziness or unpredictability in his game. As you said he would just score off that spectacular free kick or goal just out of Lulz. No wonder why pazza Inter loved him so much.

What do you think about Pellistri btw?

I think everyone is gonna be pleasantly surprised with Facundo. His videos weren't all that Impressive but given the hype we are creating around his signing we should be very excited. If he was meant to be some sort of a 50/50 punt he would go to the reserves first. The fact that he goes straight to the first team and given tons of media coverage should give us plenty of encouragement. Looking forward to seeing what he can do!

There was more hype around Dan James signing tbh

Very talented, outstanding technique for what we are used to over here but needs to work on end product.

That's normal for a kid, I am much more interested in character and level heads at that age. He will be fine in that sense and at the very least Cavani's wages are taking care of him getting the best possible babysitter as he settles and adapts.

Hope your right. MAybe its his style but Diallo looks a lot better. Not to be pitting them against each other or anything.

I was just about to say that! Danni Rojas singing his own name
