I said it in another thread but after what happened on England duty the last thing we should be doing is spreading and encouraging rumours about Greenwood. If it turns out he has done something like this then we need to let the club deal with it internally, the last thing we want is the Sun and the Mirror gunning for him from every angle.

People will go over top as usual. An 18 yr old footballer making a bad decision shocker. Imagine how many things some of our other young players have gotten up to in the past that we never heard about. Rooney springs to mind, but I bet it was most of them. Good lessons for them to learn. Ole will deal with it.

My first thought is relief that it's not an injury, tbh. Now if this is true, I hope it's a one off misdemeanour and not a 'problem'. The boy is learning about becoming a man. Hopefully he comes out of all these fires like fully burnished steel.

Agreed in principle but if the message isn’t getting through you need to do more. Massive talents like Greenwood will have grown up with the club and England youth setup saying yes to him constantly due to fear of losing him and this effects players’ behaviour.

I've heard Greenwood ain't a good trainer. The rest is just him being a normal teenager. All the best players have a flaw and his is perfectly understandable. Cantona now is lauded as an angel who never missed training and stayed back for extra homework. But I remember different.

Most of the negative stuff about United in the media comes from this forum.

Fake reporters always quoting un named sources but you can clearly see it's a copy and paste job from here.

So people need to keep the unfounded rumours out of here because trust me fake journalists lurk around on this site.

Brandon Williams was in the training pictures released by the club yesterday. Greenwood is not in the pictures so it's more likely he is injured.

I don't know what it is but they are some people on here who for some reason seem to enjoy the negativity around the club not sure if it's their dislike of Ole, Woodward or their frustration with Sancho.

We get a lot of bad press from the Klopp and Pep loving media already, we don't need to be helping them with that. Support the club!

A bit concerning to be honest.. he can certainly grow out of it but clearly he is no model professional like Rashford.

While there is room for leniency, the casual excuses made for Greenwood at this point on the basis of age seem to ignore that plenty of top, world class footballers went through this stage without immature idiocy and recognised what they were able to achieve. While far far more brilliantly talented young players went on to achieve nothing close to what they should have by not having the correct attitude.

I don't think people should overreact, but it's obviously a concern that should be taken seriously

If that's the case, good. They need to learn. Ole is doing the right thing by setting up a high standard that will translate into a better performance on the pitch. Either you're a professional player at Manchester United, or you are not.

This would be the biggest issue. Don't throw that talent away son...
