@Ali Dia seems to think opinion on the Caf is divided regarding the player. I'm not seeing that. Most posters heaping praise on him. @Kostov maybe an exception. I'm sticking to my opinion which I can back up 100%. I'm not just going to say he's way off good enough for our team he's hardly good enough for the PL. Fulham maybe at a pinch!

Height 1,69m weight 62 kg. Says it all. If he had exceptional qualities to compensate for his light frame he could make it in the PL. He hasn't so he's out of his depth because of that. End of!

where do you actually get weight of players from? It’s not something that’s officially posted is it? I would have thought thats just a guess. I’m a similar height, and he’s deffo more than 62kg.

91% pass percentage and where were these heavy touches?
Felt like there were quite a few heavy first touches nost of which he just about managed to recover but given that newcastle werent exactly pressing high up the pitch that might not be the case against better opposition

Yeah he does that a lot. Same goes for passing, even under little pressure he makes simple mistakes.

But to be fair he cut down on the naive and difficult passes which he was trying to pull last game I saw him, so that's an improvement.

I think he deserves a chance to find his feet and with some consistency those mistakes will be gone or at least reduced. At the very least he gives us great energy and intense pressing. Although it's not great, the balance of this midfield was much much better yesterday.

His first touch will never be good enough for the top elite level, it will cost teams a couple of goals whoever he plays for. His passing is too inconsistent as well, sometimes very accurate and precise, other times you are left wondering what's he seen. The most frustrating thing is his shooting, he's not known for his ability to shoot from range so why he think it's a good idea to try audacious shots on his right foot, I have no idea. He can barely hit the target with his left foot with good attempts.

We overpaid for him, and he hasn't strengthened our midfield as expected unfortunately. I'm happy to keep him around for now, as he provides decent depth and he's not a massive weakness. He has some good games and adds something different but he's our worst CM for me.

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time
He's 62 kg. You can blow him over, Google it!
I always take player player weights (and often heights) on the net with a pinch of salt. I tend to think that they are officially recorded when they first start playing professionally (so when they are about 16 years old) and never updated. A good example that somebody recently bought up is that Cavani is listed as 71kgs. Another example is Angel Gomes who is listed at completely different heights depending on what site you use.

Our worst CM is McTominay and it's not in any way close.

He is the best player that helps us regain possession quickly after losing it, and in this era it's vital.

So often he will break up an attack or get into the space so that it forces an error and they give the ball away.

Yes he's not the best on the ball and can't shoot for shit, but his energy and work rate is really underrated for keeping control of the match. I always feel like we dominate midfield more with him in the team.

Absolutely correct. It's the reason that Man City and Liverpool dominate games so frequently. The second the ball is lost they have one or 2 players hassling the man on the ball till he gives it up. Matic is a great player but allows the opposition far too much time on the ball and we, more often than not, get pushed right back to our own box.

Gives the team so much more balance defensively, and enables us to play quicker than Pogba, who for some reason thinks dribbling around in lower-midfield changes things.

Can we please just play Fred?

Swear to God, if there's anybody still arguing that Fred shouldn't be playing - especially in big matches - they need to get a grip. I'd love to know how many times he won the ball by tackle or interception today.

Immense performance tonight. Absolutely shut down Neymar, gobbled up any loose balls in midfield and countered beautifully.

the guy is so underrated.

Covered every blade of grass out there. The difference between him and Herrera/Gueye on the other side was easy to see.

That set up suits him perfectly. We saw a few of these performances last season. Great game.

Could argue the case for about 9 of them but think I'd give him the nod for MOTM tonight, so so good.

Immense game from him. Stuck to PSG like glue and won every loose ball.
