It is if they can do it all season. He ran that Bilbao team into the ground. If they can sustain it they will do well. Don't think they would be under threat anyway.
True when you are a manager like him you have to rotate loads but he doesn’t do that much. Covid helped Leeds more than anyone they were tired last season and came back fresh and walked the league.
They will be safe by Xmas so even if they tire they’ll be mid table at worse

If Bielsa really was interested in James, then we were crazy not to send him there on loan.

Bamford 2

Bamford hattrick

Jealous of anyone who has him in their FPL team.

So why don’t more teams do that ? We looked so unfit at the start of the season. 9 hours is excessive but if they can do it why couldn’t we ?
they are there in the gyms and working on learning opposition Teams etc it’s supposed to be very full on.

Aston Villa hammer the so called World champions 7-2 then in their next home game lose 3-0 to Leeds just up from the championship after a decade away from the top league.

Would love a manager like him to be fair. It might be excessive but the players seem committed and on paper Leeds aren’t that good he really has them playing as a team

It's a mad season and looks like they just had an absolute best performance of their lifetimes fused with Liverpool being utterly turd.
As Villa look a team who would take a few months to score 7 now.

Serious question...isn't Bielsa's fitness regimen available and reproducible? His teams absolutely run their opponents into the ground. And he's yet to coach an elite team in his career. Imagine getting a top team's players to have such fitness and relentlessness. Or is it only possible for the not quite elite teams, to cover for a relativel lack of quality perhaps?

"if you could assemble a team of players as talented as the super club of your choice, somehow surgically remove the part of the brain that controls their ego without changing anything else, and put Bielsa in charge they would never, ever lose."

The above is an actual tweet from some random guy, but sums up the reasoning behind my question above.

It's too intense for top clubs and he seems to fall out with board members very easily which leads to his departure. In fairness, I think he's on good terms at Leeds so they will keep him as long as he wants to be there

but there's a reason why they call him "El Loco"....

That’s it.
At a top club his system wouldn’t work with so many games season after season. Players won’t be up for it after a while.

Mings is a diabolical centre back who belongs in the Championship. At best
Simply cannot comprehend how he consistently gets picked for England

So much for Ole saying he wants his team to be the fittest and run the hardest in the premier league
They've played 2 games more than us in fairness. We're starting to look quite fit ourselves, at least in the last 2 games we have.

My wit's end
Leeds sure do a lot of huffing and puffing without blowing the house down. Expect they’ll run out of steam as they did vs Wolves and Villa will snatch a winner. Also good to see Bamford is back to his finishing of last season. Long may it continue..
Yes his runs are very good but finish not so
I’d say worst in the league for a starting striker. It’s mad as he is good at runs and build up play
Bamford is a poor poor finisher

Klich was fantastic once again. Bielsa has turned him into some player.
I really like him (well not tonight!). Technically good, mobile and chips in with goals. Their McGinn (who was miles off it for us). He goes under the radar with all the hype around Kalvin Phillips.
