Here they come after a draw with Chelsea. SAF always beat Chelsea.

Between Moyes, LVG, Mourinho and now Ole we've well and truly killed the image of the club being one that plays "attacking" football. There isn't a kid born in the last decade, who'll have grown up watching an attacking Manchester United. Just one that plays passive, defensive and boring football
Whilst some of the comments on here are over the top, this part is sadly true. LVG tried to play attacking football at least but Jose and Ole (or Jole) play a very similar reactive style that really isn't very inspiring. If a team doesn't attack us and commit men forward, we are powerless even against some of the teams where we literally have better players in every single position.

A draw against a leaky Chelsea defence at home is par now? How many times did we look like scoring? We deserve to be where we are with fans like you happy to accept the shite on a stick football we serve up so often. We are now officially Liverpool - boring, game-raising cnuts.

As usual we struggled to break down a team that defends as a unit & doesn’t give us space to counter-attack. Until we can adapt to other tactics aside from playing on the counter, we won’t be competing for the league.

Starting Dan James is inexcusable. Waste of time, particularly in these kind of games.
Probably could have and should have put 2 or 3 away today. Mendy saved them on numerous occasions today.

All it took was a draw against Chelsea for the toxicity to come out of hiding? Disappointing starting lineup today, but do people really expect us to win every single game?
It was not a great performance and he was certainly accountable for odd personelle selections. I don't think there's anything toxic to point that out. He gets praised when he's bang on, and criticised when he's making very odd decisions.

Pretty dire performance that once again emphasises our inability to unlock a defence that doesn't give us space. We created nothing really, and, aside from Rashford at the end, had no real chances.

Played at a very slow pace.

It was an awful game.

Also, why no De Beek?

It’s a long season. No point worrying about stuff now.

Are people not tired of the poor > poor > poor > pressure starts to mount > pulls flukey win(s) > redcafe fans rejoice > back to being poor pattern yet?

I know I should expect nothing less from you but you are like one of those people that play sport for participation, not for winning. Unfortunately, MUFC is meant to be a professional outfit which aims to win.

Ole must be on drug. How can James start in front of Cavani, Pogba, Greenwood and VDB. What wrong with him? Stupid manager!!@#$#% I seriously hope I don't ever see him manage a football club. What a joke?

Ole is not an elite manager but he's proving to be a capable one. If you want to replace him you need to get someone who's clearly better than him. I don't know who that manager is. Poch is being touted. I would like him as a manager but there are questions about his ability to actually win a trophy.
At the present, Ole will get the full season unless results start going awfully bad. I think that's the right decision even though ultimately I don't think Ole is the guy.
There isn't just a Klopp or a Guardiola available who you can say would be an immediate and significant improvement. Every other candidate available has draw bucks. And if Ole still has the players backing and is getting some results, it's hard to axe him

First 3 home games, 0 wins, 1 goal from open play, 9 conceded and Dan James back in the first eleven, but you are a “worse supporter” if you are concerned.

Ole has followed a good result up with another mistake. It’s Chelsea at home with long-standing defensive issues, play your best team and give yourself the best possible chance.

It’s one step forward and one step back. Exactly the same. The squad is looking a lot fuller (and he has to get some credit for that), but still no consistency or any concrete ideas about best eleven or best formation. It’s been two years and it’s still as up and down as ever.

So frustrating.

Ole keeps chosing the wrong team and the wrong formation. James was awful. He cant beat his man, cross or make a pass. He is sticking with the 4231 sh!te. I don't get it. He does not have any decent wingers so it is just stupid to play that system. He withdrew mata who was our best player. He keeps cramminig centre forwards into midfield/winger positions. He dropped Axel who deserved to keep his place. I worry for him. Really bad management.

I think though we absolutely need to stop with 4-2-3-1 bullshit. Time to shift to another formation that suits other players.

that's all this. PSG tactics were great, we all praised him at the end. Then he picks James over Cavani, Paul, Vdb, Greenwood. With such a choice, it better be successful or else...well you get criticized.

We played some great stuff in moments today. The attacking football is so much better than under Jose it’s night and day.

But Chelsea were pretty resolute and you can’t ignore their attacking threats. We have had a few shaky games defensively and today Maguire was still below his best form. So some caution was merited and Ole got the balance right I feel.

7 from 15 points on offer and 3 of those 5 games were at home. If you can't criticise that form, than what can you criticise?
You need to get over the first two home defeats which had severe mitigating factors and stop using those to pad out your faux critique

We will see how we go forward, but this was miles better then what we were producing at the start of the season. Deserved to win today and there is a progress based on last 3 games.

Meh draw today isn't a bad result. Palace and Spurs were. I'm fine with the draw. Just bored out of my mind and want to go to sleep now watching this.
Have to say. I really appreciate posters like you. You have been a tough in your stance on Ole, but at least you are one of the reasonable ones who can see the wood for the trees. It was a shite, boring game against a rival. Nothing more to be said really

Its fecking embarrassing, a draw against another top team and we still have "fans" spewing bile. It was a shite game to watch, but both sides defended really well and looked off the boil in attack.
Exactly! It was a very tight performance by both teams. And we where the better team! Feck this place tonight. People actually coming out with this shit...

Just nothing. He's there, but might as well be somewhere else. The fact he contiunes playing James should be investigated.

Really can't imagine that the level of coaching is very sophisticated, or would develop the players in a way that would result in big improvements in the way the team plays as a collective. Relying on individual skill and brilliance is not the hallmark of great coaching.

We dont have to wait for things to turn really sour before making a change.

Typical Ole as a coach struggles shown in this game. Against a deep teams trying mainly to defend we struggle.
Although Rashford could have still won us the game so we didn't play that badly.
Just to make us into a title contender we need to attack better as a team. Don't think Ole has it in him to do.

Not to shit stir too much, but we wanted LVG hanged for performances like that.

Too many passes in front of the defence. To be fair I don't think there was much wrong with the first 45, we’d conceded 9 goals at home in 2 games so understandable playing safe. But needed to go for it at about 60 mins and stuck with 2 holding mids trying not to lose.

End of day this changes very little for Ole, great on the counter, still somewhat clueless breaking down a defence.

It was a draw against Chelsea. The problem I had was why the feck James had to start. It was a very obvious mistake. James offers nothing so don't start him in such a big game . I think Ole's learnt his lesson with this one.

If we had serious injuries and he picked that first 11 and came out with the draw, I'd have said fair play.

But with that calibre of players sitting on the bench, absolute piss poor. Clearly he's doing everything he can not to lose regardless of the performance.
He is not risking to win anything. In fact playing as much safe as he can to not get sacked.

He is defensive manager. I don't mind having defensive manager who brings results but how anyone can claim that Ole is attacking manager? Even Mourinho is more attacking minded than him.
It really comes down to this. For all his talk about the "United way", he's a defensive minded manager who's only means of attack is counter attacking.
