Out of curiosity...if he continues to impress with Rangers, would you accept Gerrard as a future United-manager ? And if he was given the chance, do you think Gerrard would take the United-job ?

I would never accept Gerrard even working in the megastore let alone managing the club at any level. I would rather have Woodward selecting the team than have Gerrard anywhere near it.Out of curiosity...if he continues to impress with Rangers, would you accept Gerrard as a future United-manager ? Imagine the reaction of the Liverpool fans. Would almost be worth it.Out of curiosity...if he continues to impress with Rangers, would you accept Gerrard as a future United-manager ? And if he was given the chance, do you think Gerrard would take the United-job ?

Every time I lose faith in this place I’m reminded it can be a fun place at timesOut of curiosity...if he continues to impress in North Korea, would you accept Kim Jong-un as a future British prime minister ?
And if he was given the chance, do you think he would take the British prime minister job on ?
Haha can you IMAGINE the scenes... there's no chance he'd come here though, even if that scenario were possible (it's a no from me though).Out of curiosity...if he continues to impress with Rangers, would you accept Gerrard as a future United-manager ? In case anyone doesn't know whom the poster is referring to.So having a guy who grew up as a Liverpool-fan as a player and manager is ok, and having a guy who played 8 years for City and was on Liverpools books for 9 years, as manager - that is ok
But Stevie G isn't ?
Just saying ….
I get what you're trying to do but as I'm sure you're aware the situations are vastly different, Busby is from a different era and Ole wasn't the homegrown captain of Liverpool for years. Gerrard is, wellSo having a guy who grew up as a Liverpool-fan as a player and manager is ok, and having a guy who played 8 years for City and was on Liverpools books for 9 years, as manager - that is ok

So would Busby never have been able to become a serious candidate for the United manger job, having played for the clubs he played for, if he'd been born a contemporary of Gerrard's, then?I get what you're trying to do but as I'm sure you're aware the situations are vastly different, Busby is from a different era
Busby was also our Captain I believeIn case anyone doesn't know whom the poster is referring to.

Gorgeous finish a few minutes into his comeback today from (another) injury. How's Defoe been for them? I'm impressed by his longevity; 40 next year

What a goal! I remember him saying switching to a vegetarian diet was a help a few years back. Whatever he's doing, it's certainly working!!Gorgeous finish a few minutes into his comeback today from (another) injury.

He's been pretty good on the whole. His finishing is still ruthless and he remains a consummate professional. Picking up a few strains though and he's generally better as an impact sub because he doesn't have the back-to-goal game of Morelos.

The problem is convincing Gerrard to take it. Can’t see it in the current climate and era. Maybe if things were drastically different in a couple decades. You would hate it at first, but imagine he came here and was an absolute success. How horrible would that be for Liverpool fans. One of their biggest legends leading their biggest rivals. (I hate the man so I’d never want it to happen)
Great finish.Gorgeous finish a few minutes into his comeback today from (another) injury.

fecking No and No.Out of curiosity...if he continues to impress with Rangers, would you accept Gerrard as a future United-manager ? And if he was given the chance, do you think Gerrard would take the United-job ?
One thing that is horribly overlooked regarding Souness - he really had a tough, tough job. It was a bit like Moyes. Aging squad, the young players were generally not good enough. But he didnt make it easier on himself with those signingsThe last time Liverpool were this dominant they replaced Dalglish with another club legend who was getting great results at Rangers in Souness. Hopefully history repeats itself.
Absolutely not correct - but I am impressed with themHaha can you IMAGINE the scenes... there's no chance he'd come here though, even if that scenario were possible (it's a no from me though).
Out of curiosity, is your username correct in implying you're also a Bodo Glimt fan?
They are doing insanly well in Europe again just like last year.Rangers are beating Benfica
I have no idea because I dont really follow them. Just today's game though there is a red card to Benfica but Rangers have dominated possession and shots on goal. Doing well and playing a bit more imposive than I remember. They are doing insanly well in Europe again just like last year.
How? They can't have much money can they with Covid and everything?
I don't follow the Scottish league either. Just very impressive results from them in Europe recently. Them and Celtic looks to increase the coefficient a lot.I have no idea because I dont really follow them. I've heard positive things about Gerrards management aswell. I wonder if it's that or the couple stand out players they have like their striker that was linked to quite a lot of clubs recently.I don't follow the Scottish league either. They missed out on The CL group stage after a shock exit in the qualifiers, then went unbeaten all season up until Angel Gomes and Boavista beat them 3-0 the other night. Now this. Are Benfica actually good themselves ?
From what you're saying sound like their current team is good enough for domestic competition but not for Europe ?They missed out on The CL group stage after a shock exit in the qualifiers, then went unbeaten all season up until Angel Gomes and Boavista beat them 3-0 the other night. Now this.
They spent a good amount on players this Summer and brought in Jorge Jesus who is an excellent manager. He did an amazing job with Flamengo in Brazil, and has managed Benfica and Sporting in the past. Success with all of them.
We jinxed it for the better!3-3 now. I am watching the wrong game for sure.
