Second win against Newcastle United so far this season - 2:0. Griezmann with his third assist across the two games, involved in three goals from the five total scored. Signing him (and the other players touted), would elevate his squad.

Of course, Newcastle lived up to their reputation, meaning Sterling and Alaba both face time on the sidelines.

you and Damo have taught and shown me if i have youngsters that many people want, wait and overcharge cause someone will pay it. Sancho being the current scale im using for when people enquire about Pedri and Reyna
Reyna's still some way off being Sancho. I'll be very surprised if he's 92 rated by the age of 20.

Good luck though. I was the one who "overpaid" for Sancho, and my offer of a combined 272 in ratings for an 80 rated player is one that I can't see being topped. Very rare that teams have squad depth to offer seven players for one like I did with Sancho. Don't think any team since has had that squad depth available. In a few years you'll be thinking "what if"

You offered seven players? I can only recall Martial and Shaw. Who else was there?

Ratings at the time in brackets (Sancho was 90 at the time of the deal)

Permanent: Kurt Zouma (89), Arkadiusz Milik (89 - but went up to 90 a couple of weeks later which was inevitable with his performances), Luke Shaw (89) and Anthony Martial (90).
On loan until they turn 90: Denis Zakaria (88), Ibrahima Konate (88), Cengiz Under (89).

A deal that can't be topped in terms of players. Conor saying he's holding out for a deal like that is basically him saying he never wants to sell Reyna.

I literally am Mr. Desperate. Offering a 93 and 94 rated player along with one of the top RB prospects in Germany for an 80 rated player is the "overcharge offer".

Only one who could have matched you in terms of that offer would have been Stain with his then Everton squad. Now I cant imagine anyone else having that incredible squad depth. Atleast not for next 2 years.

Yep, and even back then I knew Stain wouldn't have topped it. I still have extras to this day that I wouldn't hesitate to put in deals - Panos Retsos, Sander Berge (star player at Sheffield United destined for greater things), Cengiz Under... hell, Maresic and Valery can go too for all I care. I can include them in deals and wouldn't be worse off squad depth wise which gives me an edge on others, but my existing deal more than suffices for an 80 rated player, and would include any of them in a deal for a slightly higher rated player that I've had discussions for the past few days :)

Alright that was actually a good deal for both sides, although loan players don't really count.

Regarding Reyna - i get your point of view, just in terms of ratings it's a good offer. That can change quickly though, i guess Conor simply rates Reyna very highly, nothing wrong with that.
I've been through the same thing with Tuanzebe. Been trying to sign him for a good two years now, ever since he got added really. Three different managers, loads of in my opinion good offers - noone seems to even be willing to engage in negotiations. At one point i think i offered Messi? I'm getting tired

They helped transform his squad for a number of years until his own players developed! I miss him.

Yeah, I've been trying to get Hakimi and Foden as well but the various managers have been resolute. With now having Trent and Dest, missing out on Hakimi isn't too bad but Foden remains elusive.

It's not about the current ratings for me, it's the fact that the two high rated players you're offering are both in decline. It won't be long with them till I'm stuck with two 30 year olds in decline who no one will do any P/X for, and I'll be back to square one of trying to find a talented youth.

Yes there's no guarantee Reyna gets to 92, let alone at 20, but it's a risk I'm happy to take, and who knows in 2 years time when someone else is ready to made a bid like that, it might just be worth it! If the players on offer were 2 years younger I absolutely go for it, but they're both in decline and will have 0 resale value

Good player but not on Sancho level.

If you offered Eriksen and Griezmann alone that’s an incredible offer given he’s so low rated currently but I can see why someone would reject that (Bakku isn’t much of a temptation).

They might be having their troubles but are we seriously suggesting Reyna is going to be 93+ bearing in mind no American player has ever attained anywhere near that level on SM. I think that’s a terrific offer for him but by the end of the season he could be very close to 90 rated at which point the offer looks less appealing.

I’d bide my time wait for him to rise and then see if a better offer comes by crazy as it sounds although in the context of Newcastle they’d be significantly upgrading two key positions.

For about 2/3 seasons until they drop to 91 and no one will touch them and I'll be left with their massive wages. No thanks.

As for having a rating cap based on nationality, luckily it doesn't work like that, and certainly with the way American youth players are going we could be seeing 91/92/93 rated players in the not too distant future.

requested derby if i can have them
Sure, but there's a better squad available (I've put a temp manager in charge for now - Preston North End).

They are £772k in the red though, so you'd have to sell players before making signings. If you'd prefer to stick with Derby, who I assume have a lot more money, you can do and I'll accept the application but if you'd prefer to take over Preston North End instead, let me know and I'll remove the temporary manager from there so you can apply

As I said I understand not wanting to sell as Reyna will rise.

2/3 seasons is only a year I doubt Griezmann will drop below 93 in a year you’re probably looking at a 92 Eriksen and 93 Griezmann unless things improve by 3 SM seasons time.

I don’t believe there is a ratings cap based on nationality but he will not be able to gain ratings as a result of World Cup performances like many top European/South American players have.

He would literally be the first North American player above 91. I do agree there are more and more promising North American continent players Pulisic, Reyna, Davies, David etc that look to be 92+ potentials and I also said I don’t think I’d sell him for that offer either as I’d rather wait the season out for him to rise to 87/8 and see what comes your way.

Alfredo Morelos has agreed a season long loan to Derby County. New manager Mark Holland’s first bit of business.

Cardiff are hoping he can push on in Division 2 and trust he will develop well under the new manager.

Forgot to set my subs against Sunderland, so players ended up playing out of position and some first teamers are fecked on fitness while Vinicius Jr got a rest (who I wanted to play 90 minutes). Still managed to win 4:2 and rewarded by facing Aston Villa for the 598th time in two seasons. Yay.

Meant real seasons not SM seasons. But even still a drop of 1 per both before the year is out makes it not worth it at all.

In that case Dele should be getting a -5. Glad I managed to get rid when I did - ludicrous that he didn't get a -1 last season.
Yeah that sale was perfectly timed to be honest. Was it Oblak for De Gea + Dele?

A full breakdown of the youth table can be viewed HERE.

Trent turning 22 last month was painful. With Mbappe turning 22 in December, I'll definitely have lost second place on the January youth table.

CARDIFF CITY - Transfer News

Luis Suarez is off to West Ham in exchange for £6m and Cody Gakpo.

The experienced striker had a great first season with the club but has since found himself under pressure for a starting spot from new signing Ciro Immobile.

With Cardiff City looking to secure the future of the club the talented winger Gakpo is seen to be a good long term investment who they feel will develop well in the coming months. It is hoped he will reach 85 by January and 87 in the summer.

Jesus southend are miles in the lead!!! Delighted to see The Toon Army up there, but with Takehiro, Rice and Odegaard due to turn 22 soon I'll be way down again until Pedri and Reyna get some rises.

Speaking of Reyna, it only calculates 82 plus right?
