John King is a treasure. Clear, precise and knows exactly what he's talking about
Disagree. Waffles. You need to look at other channels.

When Miami Dade came in he knew nothing about the impact that was staring him right in front of him.

What? Are you saying that the odds change according to how much money is bet on the different options?

That can't be true as that would make them reactive and useless in predicting future outcomes. ;)

I know that this is water is wet for you, but many people seemed to really think that betting markets seem to know something more, where it is obvious that they just follow the latest news and the amount of money bet so far.

Great.

Trump is a United States problem, not a problem for the rest of the world. The United States has always been a complete shitfest when it comes to meddling in international affairs, spying, starting wars, throwing governments, pretending that this current administration is one of the worst ever is bizarre.

I mean we can argue about first world etc. But surely the US are still a part of the western world!?

And yeah, other administrations have done more than enough shady stuff, but it all pales in comparison to ripping apart the world order under which the western world funtions.

They do a little bit as book-makers will hedge if their exposure is too high

But a pool-based market like Betfair isn't at all. It's purely based on what the market thinks is fair value.

You've got to be fecking shitting me  What exactly has the current administration brought upon the western world that previous administrations hasn't done to a far worse extent.
- driven a divide between the US and Europe
- caused the rise of populist propaganda
- almost started a war with Iran
- went out of the Paris Climate Agreement
- threatened to leave NATO
- left the WHO in times of the biggest health crisis the world has seen since anyone alive can probably remember, just to be able to blame someone else
- given legitimacy to open lies and deception as part of the political landscape (you may claim politicians have always been frauds all you want, but we haven't seen something on the scale of what Trump has done or what followed with Brexit, in that lies were openly told that were easy to prove wrong, on the basis that the average population would be intrigued enough by those lies to blindly follow their rhetoric anyway)
- paved the way for stuff like the Brexit movement to think that their time has come
- caused right wing politicians all over Europe to grow stronger
- etc...

If you are unable to see what effect Trump has had, then you're either based in the US and haven't realized the influence your country's foreign policy has on the rest of the world, or are just willingly closing your eyes.
The fact you're even joking about this or laughing at it probably has most posters that read our conversation in disbelief.

I fell asleep and had a dream that I beat trump in the presidential race. Then I jolted up when I heard my laptop cnn stream say Biden took the WI lead

Whats the summary on PA?
About 1.8m mail absentee ballots being counted right now, 1.3m from Democratic and 500k from Republican area (but bear in mind mail as a whole is heavily blue).

The problem is they won’t release partial results, and also accept post-marked ballots, so we will be stuck at the current Trump lead for days.

Biden now the favourite on Betfair for the first time since I woke up at 2.30am.

I didn't understand it at the time, but it was completely mad that he was as high as 4.6 at one point. It proves the point Wibble etc made - the bookies hold no predictive value, don't place overdue stock on what the odds are telling you, if other quarters are saying it's too close to call.

Fully agree. There's no 'one of' about it. He's by far the worst president of my lifetime, the only one I have ever seen who actively tries to turn Americans against each other.

I yearn for the day when a left winger can debate without calling the contender a right winger.
Again, you are implying that every Trump voter is homophobic. I’m saying that,s not true.
Go to google, write “gays for trump” and tell me if they are homophobic
This false narrative of "look theres a token gay, black, latino etc group that still likes Trump" really fecking annoys me how about the vast majority of gay people who think Trump/Pence are homophobic? The "not all" argument is puerile and not based in most peoples reality. Also EVERY possible demographic has outliers INCLUDING black men who still vote for Trump. Does that make him or a vast majority of his voters pro BLM and non racist no it doesnt.

Is shite one-liners the best you have to offer?
It is you who has clearly demonstrated your lack of knowledge about US politics and society. That's not a slight - most Norwegians doesn't know much about this stuff.

I think the DNC shoot themselves in the foot by smearing Tulsi Gabbard as a Russian asset. She has great centrist appeal, earned her stripes as a multi tour veteran, would have out-debated Trump with ease and put on a more energizing performance on the road.

I kinda wish the CNN graphic of the two presidents would have the DOOM games faces when the player gets hit so you can get a real visual effect of who's winning or not

Well the world order used to be the USA says something, and the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th economy would nod and get on with it. Nowadays if Trump says something the 1st, 3rd and 4th economy just laugh nervously, and then hedge against whatever the US are doing.

Bollocks and one of the most ignorant and uninformed posts in this thread.

Trade wars. Potential trade deal with the UK and other countries. Pulling out of the Paris Agreement, his fights with NATO, the Iran Nuclear treaty, his siding with Israel over everyone else and his determination to single Iran out at any cost. Russia, China.. North Korea... Countless rumours of him selling US secrets because he's over a barrel due to his debts. His involvement in stopping abortions in impoverished countries. Kids in cages and his refusal to accept refugees...

And on and on and on..

You're either just trolling or you are ignorant or you simply don't give a shit.

I'm alright Jack, feck everyone else. The attitude that is destroying the world and the attitude as to why Trump got elected in the first place.

Still tight right, we need something like 75% blue votes in what's left from when I fell asleep.

Thanks for letting me know, feck it's tight!
