People like to make a similarity of him with RVP, but I felt he's more like Saha.

Saha is a natural with both feet, and have huge appetite or love to shoot from any distance and any angles.

Here's an example:

One thing I notice is that, both Greenwood and Saha are so good at passing with both feet and have good ability in evading "blockers" or "markers" with just one quick good steps movement in order to get easier shooting angle or to evade for easier pass to teammates. Saha is perhaps a better short passer with his right foot while Greenwood is overall a better long and high crosser. Saha is all-around good technically, aerially, athletic, quick, good at pressing defenders and strong to boot. Greenwood is just technical and have been putting in more weights, definitely getting stronger.

Wow never thought about that but that's a good shout. I can see the similarities. You're right about the bolded bit. Greenwood's technique is more precise/cleaner looking, which is why the RVP comparisons are so apt whilst Saha was solid but used this athleticism/physicality more instinctively. Even if Greenwood can turn out like Saha, that's high praise because he was a quality player for us. Shame about the injuries.

Class! I remember that match like it was only yesterday. Saha was a fantastic player, just very delicate.

And what about Robin Van Ferdinand?

I feel like the RVP comparisons are mostly based on his stride. He moves like RVP.

I don't actually think he's a striker in the same ilk of RVP to the extent that in my opinion RVP was nowhere near as clinical as Greenwood. RVP missed ALOT of easy chances in his career, he was just so goal hungry, like Greenwood and Saha, that he converted a lot also. RVP was much more devastating with his head than Greenwood has shown also.

Pretty creepy of me admittedly but from following Mason on Instagram I get the impression he might be back with his ex. Hope that brings a bit more stability back (or at least gives the media less opportunity to make stories up).

Yeh I saw the same thing on his most recent post. It’s certainly interesting especially after the whole Iceland incident.

Hopefully the media will also cover how happy the United officials are about two teenagers getting back together and how vital that moment can be for our season.

Back 'soon' according to Ole. Been away for 8/9 days and been training and in the gym since coming back.

Hopefully he's at least on the bench this weekend.

I loved Saha! Vastly undervalued.

Bit of this from Murder Mase & I won’t be too disappointed.

Saha was great when fit, unfortunately he was very rarely fit.He had 1/2 a great season once.

some of it was clearly mental, with more injury much and a better mentality, he could have been a great player for us.

you can’t have players like that who can’t be relied upon. Real shame, he had it all.

If I'm Mason Greenwood, I will be studying CR7 commitment towards football. Ronaldo was never in a serious relationship until he is a one of the best in the world. I'll be shagging, but then pay and then forget about it and go training.

Having a girl at that age, is just a nuisance..

EDIT:
Because young boy Mason, when you're a big star, the best girls will come to you!

I think Mason may have been struggling mentally with his mate's suicide (these lads are really young boys). It's just a guess because Ole didn't go into specifics. Him and Pogba are the missing pieces of the jigsaw puzzle to us getting back to last season's form.

I don't see the link between the commitment to football and shagging women left/right

Depending on the girl, it can affect your life.

Heck coming from a bad relationship myself, It affected my work/focus. Shagging without ties can help him focus without the relationship fiasco.

Mason will be back stronger than ever. It takes time to get back on track when you lose someone important to you.

I like the comparison in terms of the way they play, but Greenwood is the more clinical of the two, or at least is much hungrier for goals from what I've seen of him. Saha was brilliant at linking play, and Greenwood definitely has that in his locker too. I think the likeness with RVP comes with the effortless style of Greenwood's play and the way he strikes the ball so controlled and cleanly. Technically superior to Saha as you mentioned.

On another note, look at the midfield in that game. The creativity from Scholes, Carrick and Giggs was on another level, it felt like something was created every time they were on the ball. Those were the days.

Or it can have other consequences. It's not that simple . There are countless of players who have ruined their careers because they liked to feck around too. There is no general rule. Every situation is different

I think you should talk to someone about it, but it's got precious little to do with Greenwood just so you know.

Meh. First real breakup hurts, yes its hard to work and do anything especially at such a tender age but then every other breakup after that even if a relationship was more intense, you just shrug it off and continue with your business

Mason will be fine. He is my fav player now.
Im just struggling with one thing and I cant seem to resolve this dilemma.
Him and Diallo, which one is gonna be Rooney and which one is gonna be Ronaldo? I just cant figure it out.

Nah, it's okay, I moved on and got married at the age of 30.

But yeah, sometimes relationship during youth is not advisable for men, as they are proven to be immature compared to women.
Just discussing, not implying that I want Mason to be shagging around.

Being Mason is hard though, he has a lot of money, and suddenly every girl wants to be with him, I'd struggle too.

Some of the names he finished behind is an absolute joke...

Also been quite jarring the direction Fodens treatment in the press has taken in contrast to Mason

Woah had no idea Kulusevski was that young.
Anywho Mason is better than everyone in that list except for Haaland in terms of his ceiling.
Yes Im being a homer but once Mason gets going good luck stopping him. Too deadly with both feet. He still needs some strength but he"ll get there.

Kulusevski is a fully grown man for example in comparison to Mason. That makes a huge difference at that stage.
Mason will take a little longer but when he gets there no stopping him.

Not being biased here at all but heres the real list.

1. Haaland
2. Greenwood
3. Diallo

Your list is very biased, have you ever seen Diallo play a senior game? What makes him above Sancho, Foden, Davies and Fati?

He is one of my favourite players but now for one moment i will forget that he is United player and try to be objective.
My opinion is that he has some psychological issues. Another young player who has problems with being famous and rich as a young kid. We have seen it many times. When clubs don't want to go in details they always use term "illness".

I will be totally honest now and if someone will think it is harsh then i am sorry.
IF he has some mental issues then i am behind him 100%. People underestimate mental problems but they are there and when someone (especially young kid) needs help, he should be backed 100%.
But IF his problem is discipline like with Dembele, Balotelli or Ravel then i don't have any sympathy for him. Yes, zero sympathy. If you are stupid enough to throw away something which 99.99% of young kids can only dream then......better to not finish this sentence.

I know, it is lots of ifs so i hope it is nothing special and that he will score goals in a week or two.

No point talking about ifs when we have absolutely nothing to go off. The only confimed bits of information we have is that he broke lockdown rules in Iceland and his friend sadly committed suicide. Speculating will only encourage the media to keep printing articles about him which will do no-one any favours.

Look, something is definitely is going on this season with him. So it is normal to talk about it (and discuss rumours). It would not be normal to attack him because of it or jump on some rumour like it is true (like DM is doing all the time regarding United).
Of course that we don't know the truth and i am sure that he will be back at his best soon.

He might have back injury that allow him to take light training but not full match. We don’t know if he has psychological issues. If he gets involved in Istanbul game and not even on the bench against Southampton then we can start making all these speculation about his issue.
