Probably worth his weight in diamonds. But seriously, how did we get this gem for such an average sum? And what is his value now? Say an oil club bids for him, what would be an acceptable value. Amazing player, best bargain since Ronaldo?

Don’t know but we should be looking at bulking up his contract ASAP. It’s criminal that he’s earning what he does in comparison to some others in the squad. He should have parity with most other higher earners, he’s an essential part of what what we’re building.

I’d say he’s the best signing since De Gea in terms of value for money. If we were selling I’d be after 150m minimum.

Since arriving he's placed himself as the single most productive player in the league.

We already know he's worth more than Pogba, but at least double the amount we paid.

22 goals and 13 assists in 36 games. Only turned 26 and already a leader. I think we'd start listening to any bid around 90m but would be foolish to sell at this point. If you don't have a guaranteed improvement lined up, which is very rare, your best players should simply not be for sale.

Hes arguably the best player in the league right now. Add in what he also brings to the team aside from that and he is priceless to us.

Considered we are quoted silly prices, and had to pay £80m for Maguire, and told €120m or nothing for Sancho, my guess is we wouldn't respond to anything less than £140m.

What's gives you the impression that United would actually contemplate selling it's Best player never mind the figure of 90m.

Haha good point. I was wondering the same too. He's pretty much priceless to United at the moment based on his contributions.

We are Man Utd, if someone bid £90m for him we would piss ourselves laughing - we wouldn’t start listening.

I'm not saying we should. Just that I've seen us sell top players before and we aren't very good at it

Priceless
Came in to say just that. His productivity and leadership makes him nigh on irreplaceable. He's such a perfect fit in terms of mentality (and ability) that it's beyond uncanny. A freakishly good match that no amount of money could replace.

Being facetious but if Paul Pogba is 90 million, then Bruno is 200 million.

If someone wanted to buy Bruno off us and we did not want to sell, you are talking Countino/Dembele money.

If we get an injury to him, we are in trouble. About 70 to 80 percent of our chances go through him, ones that we create that are not mistakes by the opposition.

Maybe move VDB into the ten if he does get injured.

I never mentioned players we wanted to keep. But there are several that should have commanded higher fees
ok, so what top players have we sold. Ronaldo and?

perhaps Beckham and RVN - 17 and 15 years ago. Even Ronaldo was 11 years ago now.

We simply don't despite our relative lean phase post Sir Alex's retirement we are still one of the biggest club in the world and getting a player who we want to keep might not be impossible but its still highly improbable.

We also won everything there was to win with Ronaldo, making it slightly more palatable. We're not developing this lad just so he can fulfill his potential and win trophies elsewhere.

He's not necessarily worth it, but we shouldn't sell him for anything less than a world record.

We also sold di Maria at about a 17m loss less than a year after signing. Not sure why you're so worked up by the idea that our current owners would probably start listening to offers to double an investment less than a couple of years later. I don't agree with it, but these people don't care. We've historically sold many players for below their value and countless people often point to other clubs who seem to get more for their players than we do. I'm not sure the argument you're after is with me

I agree, but suspect our owners and Woodward would start salivating at anything close to a 9 figure sum

£50 if you were buying him from the Portuguese League. £150m if you were buying him from the Premier League.

The English tax would apply.

so one player who everyone knew was desperate to leave, whom we had zero leverage over.

there’s a lot of things to criticise the owners for. But not once have they ever looked to profit from any of our players - so I’m not sure where you are getting that picture from, because it’s not based on reality.

OK so you think the glazers and Woodward would shut up shop if a club came in and offered 90 million. They wouldn't even want to learn how far they could stretch that figure. Good for you. I disagree.

yes. Clearly. You are on you own here. The owners and Woodward have shown zero inclination to sell our best players.

you are just making up a scenario in your head.

we aren’t selling him.

stop worrying about things you don’t need to worry about.
