I love Ole and have backed him to the hilt but that was fecking awful from him.

Can't blame a single player because the coach has cost us the game tonight. There were several shocking and amateur decisions:
  • Leaving Martial on when we were well on top and he was awful.
  • Leaving Fred on when everybody with eyes knew he was going to get sent off.
  • Taking Cavani off when we were chasing and needed a presence up front.

Some unbelievable misses and at this level, that's criminal. First 30 minutes I thought Fred was having his worst ever game, considering the stakes. He let the team down, but so did Ole leaving him on.

We played well, so at least it wasnt a case of another disastrous performance. But we had chances that we needed to take, and there’s just no excuse for not taking Fred off. The ref gave us a gift in not giving him a straight red. He should have popped pogba on for Fred and we could have finished the game with 11 men and maybe we get the draw or even the win.
Good game though and it’s really going make the final game in the group a real thriller.

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.
On the one hand it’s apparent we’re a better team than PSG which shows we’re making huge progress. On the other hand martial and Solskjaer’s in game management have once again been shown up. I think we beat Leipzig though. Hopefully Rashford isn’t out for too long. Cavani is brilliant.

Unbelievably frustrating defeat.

I get that Fred is very important to our midfield and that Matic has zero energy and mobility. I get it. But he was on borrowed time after that first half. He was really really lucky to stay on - he should have been subbed. Clearly.

And then with PSG 2-1 up, Ole takes off all our goalscorers. I understand taking off Martial - contrary to popular opinion, I thought he actually played decent overall but clearly he was never going to score -, I understand taking off Rashford - clearly had some sort of issue - but then why take off Cavani only to bring on Ighalo later? What was the point of that?

And while we'll lament the finishing, and rightly so, it must be said that our defending was once again schoolboy level at times. As if our defenders never have any idea where any of their teammates are at any point in the game.

PSG got the win and they weren't even dangerous except for the 1st 10 minutes or so. After a bad start in which they were quicker and first to every ball we gradually grew into the game.

In the 2nd half we controlled the game, had them in the corner and threw it away.

I can't phantom why Fred hasn't been subbed. He was a red waiting to happen and didn't get one for a head bump due to sheer luck. Every man and his dog knew he should have been subbed. It's pure anaterism.

It's so bad cause we actually played a good game overall.

Martial puts away that sitter, I think we probably win that. Instead we're in the shit. We had the chances to not lose that.

Still can't help but feel annoyed about that shameful performance in Turkey.
When there is a lack of a presence on the touchline those misses, that happen to every side and every player, can be killers. We conceded the second goal because we completely lost our shape after Cavani hit the bar, and that's a lack of leadership coming from the touchline.

I may be the devil, but i'm not a monster
Ole cost us the game with his stupid "I'm not subbing Fred" thing.
Martial needs to be moved on in my opinion. Such a moody player, can't be a vital psrt of the team with this type of player.
The moment that Haaland becomes available on his buyout clause, it'll be curtains for Martial being a First team player if we dont turf him by then.

Missed chances cost you games, simple as that. Same story as many other games in the last few years.

Poor game management again for Ole though re Fred. Harsh second yellow of course but he was on the thinnest of thin ice as is, and we of all clubs know just how much shithousery Herrera is capable of bringing to a game.

2 Critical errors here:

  1. Keeping Fred on
  2. Going balls to the wall and losing H2H with PSG.

We now have to beat RB Leipzig which completely changes the dynamic.

I'm usually alright with Ole but this was poor from him tonight.

  • Fred should have a word
  • Martial should have a word

Awful performances from both.
No we don't, we still just need to draw Leipzig. This just insured we'll finish second if we go through, PSG aren't dropping points at home to Istanbul

The majority of the blame sits with Ole.

He really doesn't have a clue sometimes.

Game of Inches. Cavani scores it’s a different game. PSG goal was literally level. so frustrating, we could of won that. On a side note what the hell has happened to Martial? He’s been awful since the start of this season

Pretty gutting in the end. So many wasted chances again. Just need to do the business in the last game.

Game changed when they put Mbappe and Neymar up front. Removed their liabilities and we never reacted. The red card was clearly not a red, but he should've gone in the first half. The lack of response in formation and recognition of Fred being a time bomb was terrible in game management.

Other then that, I thought Tony looked primed to kick on this season. He's been atrocious.

Where the grass is greener.
Mctominay was good, that's a positive, same with Maguire and Cavani.

Overall just bitterly disappointing to feel like the game was totally there to be won.

Shades of Madrid in 2013. On top for large periods and good value for a win, but left ruing missed chances and a dodgy red.

Still feel Ole has to take some blame though, Fred should have gone earlier.

People seem to have forgotten they scored before the red card not after it. Also we were on top and it's the missed chances that actually cost us the game.....

We were well in control until Fred got sent off. Good game.
PSG are so dangerous, give them space and they punish.

Ole screwed up not subbing Fred. Shows a lack of depth in defensive midfield, he clearly didnt trust matics lack of pace.
It was odds on he would be sent off, he should have gone in the first half anyway.

Comedy of errors. Ole fecked us as did Martial.

PSG were average and we did play some great stuff, looked composed after a shit start.

Problem is we all knew Fred was going to walk as soon as he so much breathed on someone. Leaving on Fred against PSG, a team with their fair share of shithouses, makes it even more frustrating. We had them. Just sub the fecker. Even at 2-1 I felt calm with eleven men we’d score.

I hope Ole is embarrassed and ashamed of that. Trying to be too smart and clever. Not Ole out but he’s lost the trust of lot of people tonight.

We were the better team for most of it, but if you miss your chances in the Champions league it costs you. Obviously the sending off after we conceded didn't help, but it would've been difficult to comeback regardless given how they can hit us on the break. Still as good a chance as any to go through, we're still in control of our own destiny.

Not improving on Martial will be Ole's downfall.

Another bum who goes missing for 2/3 of the season and yet his fanboys will claim he's instrumental to the team when he performs well in 1/3 of the games.

Pretty much anyone involved at a high level of football doesn't believe Martial will be a leading striker for a top club.

Why do our fans feel like he will become someone good for twenty five goals a season.

This thread will be full of the usual hyperbolic g-fuel lunatics on one side, and the defend Ole no matter what lunatics on the other.

It's borderline unforgivable that Fred wasn't took off at half time, and borderline mentally deficient he wasn't took off when Herrera was brought on.
It was stupid, naive at best.

Obviously the emotional agenda guys will talk about one thing, which is worth talking about but must be said alongside that we were great tonight Vs one of the world's best teams, the general performance another feather in oles cap against top sides. Could have been different. Interesting to know just how important ole thinks Fred is now
