Yeah thats the one. As LM said I need to scan the room, which I think I ought to be doing in every room that I enter in this game
You do! It's a bit convoluted sometimes and really is fake depth (as after about 5mins you realise that there's only about 5 different things in the entire game to scan repeated over and over...) but get used to scanning. I have that set to toggle rather than hold too, as you do it way more than you think

In one of my first combat situations I accidentally pressed the caps key.. not realising that puts your scanner on till you push the bloody caps again. Needless to say moving in slow motion when being pelted bullets is a bit frustrating

  Should it be followed by git gud scrub?
Nah, Git Gud is only for those people without reflexes who can't parry in Dark Souls 1. The ones who have to resort to overlevelling or magic just to get by, or complain that the combat is "too slow!!!!" (which is code for I suck at any game that doesn't autoaim for me).

It was hijacked by the Fortnite kids, but who cares what anyone who's ever played that shite thinks eh?

At some point companies will realize that they can't keep fecking over their customers. They duty should be to customers first, and shareholders second. Without the customers there will be no investors.

Truth like rain don't give a feck who it falls on.

I agree in theory, but in practice to be fair, without investors, there would often be no business or in this case no game to buy and so therefore no customers. It's a balance to strike. Also, customers especially when it comes to gaming are never in agreement about what they want. We always moan in droves no matter what a company does and if we get placated then another group pops up to moan about that.

Every single time I want to show off the game and my sick parrying skillz to someone new to it, using the early hollows in Undead Burg, they attack so excruciatingly slowly that I inevitably mess it up and look stupid.

Playing Sekiro did NOT help with this, needless to say.

I've finished my first playthrough, clocking in at 80 hours. But I faffed about a lot with stealth and never used fast travel.

Fittingly, the game crashed during the credits...

It's a shame they released it in such a state, really. It's an excellent game underneath all the bugs, crashes, and unpolished stuff. Cool story, some memorable characters, genuinely brilliant cyberpunk atmosphere.

For those who haven't played it yet: if you're not a huge cyberpunk fan - either of the genre itself or the RPG -, wait a year with this. If you are, play it now anyway - it's still worth it to our kind.

What platform did you play it on?

Eidos/Square Enix need to pull the finger out and show them how to do the genre justice with a new Deus Ex.

Getting an urge to playthrough DE: Human Revolution again.

Played about five hours today post patch on Xbox One. One crash but it seemed to look cleaner at lease. There are still issues like the game struggling to load the map on the menu and textures popping in and out.

I love the setting, story, characters and combat so it’s a shame that technical problems are dragging it down so much.

There are still problems but my base PS4 is having less issues following the patches and it is a little bit smoother.

30 hours in and doing this story mission
Damn that boss was tricky. Could only take her out with my mantis arms, guns were useless. Stealth in the game is tough but it's satisfying when it comes off

BTW does nearly every mission have a reference to cool rock songs or am i just imagining it?

I do hope CDPR come through this (and make up for it though post launch work). They deserve tons of cricism but in terms of talent they're an asset to the industry. It would be a shame for that collective quality to go to waste due to some clowns higher up making terrible decisions.

I really dislike the braindance parts - such a cool concept made to be a tedious exercise in hopelessly flailing your scanner everywhere hoping it picks something up.

I think every quest is named after a song. It's quite cool.

How long should one wait before picking this up on PC? ngl, Cyberpunk was my COVID hold out game, hoping to end the year on a high. But 2020 is gonna 2020. I know the old consoles are the major problem, but i'd prefer to hold back until it's deemed by everyone to be "fixed"

There are probably a bunch of other games you have yet to play so why not pick up a couple of those and see what the status is when you're done with them?

Unfortunately not, everything ive looked forward too has been "meh" at best. My passion for gaming took a massive hit this year. Some folks ive spoken to said there is a huge cp77 patch in feb? Guess ill wait.

There’s been two smaller patches thus far — two larger ones are expected some time in January and February. Check the first threadmark to see the official tweet from CDPR on it. I wouldn’t expect any miracles, mind. Just the game will run a lot smoother and actually be playable at times.

Finally finished Cyberpunk 2077. For me it’s a great game, but the bugs and crashes killed my vibe with it. Just wanted to complete it as fast as possible so I don’t have to play it anymore, I crashed 8 times in the last 3 days on the PS5. That’s more then I’ve ever crashed then all of last gen combined. The whole thing ruined the experience for me.

The characters were cool and memorable in some way, the music sounded good, especially if you have a good headset it’s even better. The few side character missions I finished were fun ( Delamine and Panem) and for the most part I really enjoyed it. The look of the world was nicely detailed, It felt cool driving around a future city like that. Don’t think I’ve ever done that before in any of the games I’ve played. Even Deus Ex you only see a small part. The driving was just horrible, the cars took forever to brake or turn and the bike was just awkward always skidding to the side when I tried to break. But that’s easily fixable

I got the
Johnny
Ending which I don’t know if that’s good or bad, but it felt somewhat in between. I’ll give a 8/10 because there’s a really good game in there but the bugs killed it for me. But I’ll just ignore that and think about the positives.

Dunno whether to get a refund for the game or I’ll just leave it for 6 months to replay it properly and do things differently. But I’ll wait for the ps5 upgrade if I do go back to it.
