seems the likes of Gamespot and IGN were fairly meh on it but then SkillUP and ACG loved it. Not sure what to think really. Maybe I'll pick it up for cheaper when I'm finished Cyberpunk.

Definetly fancy trying it at some point, ACG was a big fan and usually trust his verdict.

Proper tempted by this. Loved BoTW and this looks very similar. That may be to its detriment though because I consider BoTW one of the best games ever made.

I wouldn’t go in thinking it’s a BOTW. ACG specifically said it doesn’t feel as comparable as you’d think.

I've watched no reviews yet but they've definitely stolen elements of Zelda. They're not even subtle with how that game influenced them. I'm sure it doesn't play the same but with the amount of similarities it will get compared to BoTW, either rightfully or wrongly.

Finished the demo which is about an hour on Stadia.
Had a blast to be honest, definetly a game I'll get in the future. Cyberpunk soon.

Did anyone pick this up? Its £35 on PS store and I'm tempted.

it seems to have been received very well. Seen a few reviews and even ACG who i usually trust said its great and surprising how good it is.

That’s not a bad price actually.

For Pc players it’s £22 on Epic store with the £10 gift voucher they are seemingly giving out like candy. BOTW is my favourite games of all time and this looks like a complete rip off - so much so that I might actually enjoy it!

Also I can’t believe they changed the original title, “Gods and Monsters” to “Immortals - Fenyx Rising”

Great got it on the PS5, I really liked it. For me it was better than BOTW

It look likes one of those mobile games constantly advertised that ends up having gameplay nothing like they show.

yeah for that price I think I'm going to get it. It’s not a huge amount and I’ve nothing to play at the moment anyway.
I’m going to give AC Valhalla a go I think now after finishing Cyberpunk and I’ll wait for that to be updated.

£32 on amazon so I went and got it on PS5. Was a bit torn between that and the Switch for portability but the graphics difference seemed worth it. Hopefully it's good as I need a decent console game right now.

I couldn't give a shit if it's a BOTW rip-off seeing as BOTW is one of the best games ever so if it's even half as fun that's OK by me.

With how quick this fell in price I'm going to hold off another month or so. It's almost half price a month after release.

I've only heard good things about it though so it is surprising it's suddenly being discounted. But then again all the new Ubisoft titles have received sizable discounts over Xmas. Maybe they're not selling well.

I've just finished Valhalla, it’s brilliant but it’s a long slog to the end, I’ve put 140 hours into it now. I’m waiting for the next patch for that as I’ve every trophy apart from the fishing one, I only need to catch 1 fish and I’ll have the platinum trophy but the fish are generally bugged so the bastard thing doesn’t spawn.

I’m going to give this a download tomorrow I think.

Bought the Ps5 disc version on sale for 30 euro, just finished it took around 30 hours. I enjoyed it took a little while to get into but then it opens up. I'm sure I won't touch it again so I'm glad I got it on a sale is a solid action/platform game kinda relaxing to play.

Im 10 hours in and it does take awhile to get going but its actually a pretty fun game, the story is interesting, the dialogue is well written and its actually made me chuckle a few times.

Solid 7.5/10 from me, it might bump up as I progress.

After getting it for £22 in the Epic sale purely because I wanted a BOTW rip off (my fav game ever), it was actually a really fun experience. It doesn’t have the longevity of Zelda and the mechanics are not as refined but the story and comedy, along with some decent graphical touches (on PC anyway) made it quite a polished experience. It definitely doesn’t hide the fact that it’s a clear copy of a great game but that’s no bad thing if done well, especially since it seems like we’ll be waiting a looooooong time for BOTW 2.

Thanks, it’s on offer now on PS5 so will pick it up and give it a go after I’ve finished Ghost of Tsushima. Fancy a Zelda-like game.

They spelled Phoenix in a different way so it must be cool.

I got this a few weeks ago after enjoying the demo and really enjoying it. Had zero interest before but it’s colourful, charming and a small enough open world to not overwhelm.

I tried the demo on the Switch and the controls really annoyed me. Combat felt bad.

It's really fun, but a bit long in my opinion. I stuck with it because my son loved watching it, but it could have been a good few hours shorter. Weird criticism for a game I know, but at some stage you kind of become as powerful as you're going to get, but still have to slog away.

The writing is really smart though. I did Greek mythology at Uni and some of the jokes are seriously deep cuts.

Haven't gave it the full time it deserves but will definitely scratch the same itch.

I would say every aspect is slightly less refined than BOTW, but still a very good game in its own right.
