Like to see what our spurs fans make of it?

@InLevyITrust @GlastonSpur @balaks
Jose has been doing stuff like this for many years, it's his way of stirring the shit to try and wind people up to get an advantage. The only surprising thing about this to me is that he still manages to get a reaction from people. Utd fans in particular just get triggered hilariously when they should know better than most what he is doing.

Clearly he is still an absolute master at this stuff.

To their credit, they aren’t.

Well, the ones on their own forum aren’t. The ones on here though...
It's because none of us even noticed (or cared) that he said it. I didn't know until I came on here and saw the seething rage which just made me laugh.

Think Mourinho was taking a broadside at all the other top scorers whose tally have been augmented significantly by penalties: Vardy 6/11 (55%), Bruno 5/11 (45%) and Salah 5/13 (38%)

Interesting exercise: without penaties, top scorers would be Son (12), Calvert-Lewin (11) and Bamford (9). Salah would 4th with 8 goals, Bruno with 6 and Vardy with 5

I don’t think winding up people on the internet gives him much of an advantage in fairness

If he was a master of it he would still be winning trophies. Nowadays he gets sacked

There are five players in the top three PL goals slots. Salah, Son, DCL, Bruno and Vardey. Isn’t Son the only one in the top three who doesn’t take penalties? Which is basically what he’s saying. He’s bigging up his own player, not putting any other specific player down.

He’s a toxic prick alright but let’s not get too paranoid here.
Agree with this. Basically I view him as saying Son should be praised even more than the rest given he is at the top without penalties.

I never said it was a big deal, just found it a bit bemusing. Given he has talked about Bruno and penalties before, doesn't take a genius to work out who he was inferring at. The fact that he had to highlight he wasn't talking about Kane makes it more ridiculous as well.
As Pogue says, he's really bigging up Son here. But nevertheless: the war is about the reputation of the Special One. His managerial stint with Spurs is just part of that. Whatever effects his words have regarding Kane, that's collateral damage.

I would have agreed had he not added "Btw I'm not talking about Harry Kane" at the end. He was clearly referring to Bruno and the 'controversial' penalty we were awarded vs Villa

Really? He's just a bellend.

Here's an another quote from the prat.
José Mourinho: “Aston Villa is my favourite team in the Premier League at the moment. It’s a team I enjoy. Lots of very good players, very well coached. This is what is waiting for us.

You don't think that's a dig to yesterdays game? He was asked a question about Leeds, but praised Aston Villa.
It’s their next league game.

Whoops: I assumed (wrongly) that “this rubbish” referred to the awful football Jose had got Spurs playing, not the Bruno dig.

Point still stands that your fan base seems a lot less susceptible to the Cult of Jose than ours was, if The Fighting Cock is anything to go by.

He’s trying to destabilise Ole, he does not say anything without serious thought, especially when his team is doing well.

Bruno won’t be effected either way he’s too mentally strong, hence why I think he’s saying this to make Ole say something.

Regardless I think Ole is too smart for it also but from Mourinho perspective I think it’s a win-win.

He is a troll, the surprising thing is he constantly gets a reaction. I don't see the Bruno link, unless I missed something.
I think the link is because he's already had a pop at Bruno directly about pens earlier in the season so it seems pretty clear. Very much doubt he'll get a reaction from United or the player but just seemed an unusual fight to pick.

Oh yeah of course. He still likes to go on the wind up. He'll never change in that respect. I don't think he'll get any reaction from United or the player but he'll obviously stir up emotions with the fans who will just see it as an odd fight to pick under the circumstances.

It’s gonna be a bit awkward when Jose is managing Portugal later this year innit...

There was no controversial penalty, Pogba was tripped. MotD cleared it up in seconds. Should have been another on Pogba from Mings' elbow.

Jose needs to talk about Kane's diving and backing into players. That was never really taken up in the media as much as it should have been.

You surely can't be serious?
I get it that you really try to buy in the Mourinho philosophy and try to see an advantage in everything he says and does but where is the advantage of a few United fans being upset on an internet forum? Or do you really think Bruno or any other player will worry about this and get affected?

I don't think it matters at all and had I not seen it reported in this forum I wouldnt even have been aware that he said it - my point is that I just find it hilarious how much he triggers guys in here.

You appear to be the one endlessly triggered by what United fans think, half your posts these days seem to be about United fans' feelings on Mourinho.

What a shock that I would now post about my team's manager.

Shock horror, ManUtd fans comment on the toxic cnut who made some comments, even worse they do it in ManUtd fans forum and him being ex manager.

This and endless posts moaning about ManUtd fans posts on Jose.

It's hilarious how easily Spurs fans are triggered.

Please highlight the bit that suggests I don't want Utd fans to post on a Utd forum. I can't see it myself. Is this not a Mourinho specific thread where people actively discuss you know... Jose Mourinho? Perhaps I'm not understanding.

An ex manager saying nonsensical things is obviously going to get referenced.

It's funny to see pro managers behaving like half wit morons on forums.

It's like when city and pool got loads of pens and people were on here moaning about them.

Long term Jose will turn his ire internally and will implode. We all know it. It happens every single time. Usually in season 3 where you finally find crap football without results doesn't work at all.

So you are moaning about ManUtd fans posts for nothing then.

So is this not thread to talk about Jose and that's what ManUtd fans are doing?

Also this is Jose sack watch. There is a thread dedicated to discuss his "performance"
