I don't know as I haven't played MM but it has similar review scores. I also don't care, it's enjoyable. As MM no doubt is. You were asking for Xbox Series X footage which is why it came up.

No actually I was comparing Gears 5 to Spiderman, the core games, not the expansions. The expansions are both very good too - one is 3x the length and 3x the price.
It's easy for me to compare since I've played both and you've played neither.

I think console comparisons are always sketchy because it's solely subjective bias. There are too many factors that influence purchasing decisions. The generation I've grown up with for example we have from a young age used PS, this ultimately gives more consistency to brand loyalty but for many gamers who play for singular experiences its different and maybe less of a consideration.
I can't stand Halo, Gears of war as I've had a 360 previously but just as likely I thought GOW was boring too and uncharted for me is not too far off that list. I hang around the sports genre and most of those titles are playable on both platforms. The only game that would ever get me consider the purchase of an X is the Forza series as I enjoy cars. I personally prefer the arcade free roam mechanics compared to elitists who go for simulated level track games for competitiveness. Forza is undoubtedly the best in the market for what id look for.
I think both consoles have a solid infrastructure I'd be very surprised to see anyone buy either one on the sole basis of graphics / dexterity (not to mention the specifications of the TV needed to maximise the consoles) the biggest influence right now I feel would have to be games available.
