Which 2 or 3 years will that be? He’s only 20  He’ll be world class for 12 or so years and possibly even win the Ballon D’or once or twice if he keeps his head down.
It’s because Raiola will ship him off again after 2 or 3 years.....

That was a bit ridiculous, the build-up especially for the first 2 goals

@Nero I see what you mean now  But tbf, if it’s the likes of Real, Barca (unlikely) or Bayern, I doubt Raiola will be the whinging bell he is.
It's not going to be us. Lewandowski still has a couple years of top level in him and by then Halaand will be gone. It's more likely that Moukoko will be Lewandowski's successor than Halaand. ;)

Next time Ole has lunch with Erling and Raiola, he's going to bring out a machine gun on a silver platter.

Ole: Mino, I'll give you two choices. Choice one, you can leave now.
It’s always the quiet ones, ‘innit?

I bet Ole’s Walter White behind closed doors.

He is absolutely incredible. His footwork and movement for that goal is ridiculous. He just has everything required to be a superstar.

Amazing footballer but the Bundesliga never has fullbacks.

They are always on the opposite end of the pitch.

Still want the guy here

Did young Ruud have pace before the knee rupture?
Ruud van Nistelrooy had decent pace after his knee injury. He had an awkward looking running technique but he was far from slow. He was very agile and that was one of the reasons he was so difficult to pin down in the box.

As for Haaland, he’s the number one signing that should be made, if the opportunity arises. People moan about the defence as if the team doesn’t have attacking problems. Martial and Rashford are not good finishers (and I’m struggling to think of what else they have that is Man Utd standard) and Cavani can’t be relied on at his age, despite his obvious class.

He loves that goal coming off the shoulder of the defender, doesn't he? Bundesliga centrebacks make it easy for him but when he makes that same run 15 times a match you'll eventually lose him.

Great player. Like Lukaku with a better mentality and slightly better technical ability which is a scary prospect.

I don’t think I’ve ever watched a young player and been so sure he’s destined for the very top of the game for years to come.

Even Ronaldo was very inconsistent at the same age, despite having clear natural talent, this kid is hitting Ronaldo-like numbers (goal ratio of more than 1 a game in a Bundesliga season’s length of games) 4 years earlier than Ronnie was.

Yes, Woodsplat.

A lot of clubs probably did in fact dream of the day when you MUFC would turn down the chance to sign the great striker of his generation for a song because, being a coward, you cluelessly turned your nose up at a contract clause that was proposed in no small part due to the fact that you were so bad at your job.

So, technically you were right about the dreams thing.

So how many clubs will be ready to pay his 80M release clause and another +30M in agents fees to Raiola in the summer of 2022? Basically, it will be a salary and agents fee bidding war.

If this kid is smart - and tell Raiola to go to hell - he will take the Ruud Van Nistelrooy route. Come to United, score for fun, win boatloads of throphies and then when he's 32 or 33 he can retire at Madrid. Of course Ruud left us in his peak but we surely wouldn't make the same mistake now would we?

The 2 or 3 years before he leaves for his next club. Riaola MO. He's his new Zlatan.
Just because some of you keep repeating it doesn’t make it true. If you want to be dense about it I guess you could use his short stint at Salzburg as evidence, however any logical person can see he shouldn’t have spent another minute in Austria.

I could show you Raiols clients who stayed for a long time at their clubs, but it’s been done, even in thread I think, and it didn’t help so carry on.

I’d love him to replace Aguero..
Same as, plus he's a player can say he grew up loving City and it will be true. I think he'd be amazing, the simple fact we have so many crosses to no one that changes when Delap plays and we have a real physical presence up front would add 10-15 points alone, not considering how much better he is than Jesus at other aspects of the game. I like Gabby and rotating him on the wings and as cover for Haaland up top would be ideal. Sadly I don't think it'll happen either.

Foden---Haaland---Sterling would be a nice front 3, with options like Jesus, Mahrez, Bernardo to rotate in and out.

I don’t think we will get him. Raiola will demand a few clauses including a release clause which we will most probably not accept. I would take him even if it would only be for 2-3 years with the risk of him moving to another club and Raiola being his agent, but as I said I don’t see him signing for us in the first place.

He's absolutely sensational. Every single attribute you want in a striker, he has.

Movement, pace, technique, finishing, height, strength.

Imagine him upfront instead of Martial. We'd be 12 points ahead.

Top 3 fastest players history to reach 15 goals in the CL before Haaland (124 players has scored 15 goals or more in the CL/Champions Cup):

Van Nistelroy and Soldado:
Needed 19 CL-games to reach 15 goals

Kane:
Needed 20 games to reach 15 goals

Haaland needed 12 games to to reach 16 goals. Not many goalscoring records will survive him....

We absolutely would. He would make a monumental difference.

He has absolute killer instinct and every tool you need to be a world class striker.

We really need to push the boat out on this kid, I don’t care if it’s Raiola, you move heaven and earth to secure a player like this.

Right now I would take not signing a single other player in other positions and spending our entire budget on him, that’s how much of a difference I believe he would make.
